About The Wigmore Fish and Chips and All Day Dining
We're going to be opening soon
The Wigmore is growing in more ways than one. As well as opening up a brand new restaurant, we’re also expanding our menu. In fact, you can look forward to eating with us breakfast, lunch and dinner. From stacked pancakes with bacon and lashings of maple syrup, to mouthwatering salt and pepper squid, and our classic fish and chips for dinner, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Tempted? Keep your eyes peeled for more news on when we’re opening and the incredible range of dishes on offer. Sign up below to find out more information about the restaurant!
Great friendly no rush service. Lovely tasty food whatever you order - good wine and cocktails - yummy cheesecake - love this place and will definitely be visiting again.
Lovely time, thank you ☺️
Fantastic food! Will definitely be back again! Meals were incredibly big, but was boxed up and had remainder for lunch today!
My first time at the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The food and drinks menu were both great. Was a bit disappointed that they had run out of haddock but the cod was nice and tasty. Will definitely be returning (hopefully for haddock!!)
nice but too expensive
Great food excellent service and good atmosphere Only slight negative was the sliced bloomer that turned out to be a slice of Iceland pre_ sliced packaged bread for £1.50
Fresh and piping hot. Fantastic food as always
Excellent food and service. Food arrived promptly making it ideal for lunch
Great service, food, drink and the decour was great. A breath of fresh air for Luton Dining. The blind was shining in my face and the male waiter saw and closed the blind promptly. Good touch very attentive. One negative I was asked 5 times if my food was okay and also my plate was taken before I had the chance to say I had finished. Apart from that all was fantastic.
Great place...….Feels fresh and roomie. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would be nice if they did a Sunday roast on a Sunday. But overall a lovely place. Would recommend this place to anyone.
A group of 12 of us visited recently. The restaurant was full. The staff seemed to be struggling-were there enough? We would have loved a waiter/waitress to take our initial order (as not a pub grub type -but nice restaurant!) but knew beforehand this might not be possible 🙁 ( I think waiters/waitress initial order taking would increase business by word of mouth-especially as they find time to come round and take extra orders afterwards?). We appreciated the demand but found it extremely embarrassing and frustrating that 10 of us were served, but 2 had to wait a long time afterwards when everyone else had nearly finished- after asking again-whilst another table was served a same order who came in after us(mistake?). We were not offered a dessert menu (this may be the pub ethic?) and had to ask the staff who agreed but forgot. They also forgot a drink order we placed. It’s easy as a customer to criticise, and we understand the pressure of a full house, but feel this should be catered for beforehand as extra staff cost versus profit/customer recommendation. Staring at the Bar staff we saw busy action but what looked like plenty of happy social chit chat with each other and certain customers and doing paperwork without fulfilling our orders. I’m not one of these get home and slate the restaurant type’s, as we love the place and our experience will not deter us from revisiting again but just feel that on a known busy night the staff have to be increased or up the game with those available. Overall though a lovely night but just needs some extra thought in my humble opinion. We would recommend the restaurant to everyone!
Absolutely lovely food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon!
Excellent staff. Friendly, helpful and cheerful. Food superb. Probably the best chips that I've had in years.
I came with my friend and we would both definitely come again. We were very impressed with the food, the look of the restaurant, the service, size of the portions, everything. Do you do child’s portions, because if not that would be just one thing I would suggest. Very fortunate to have the restaurant on my doorstep!
Excellent value and great friendly staff
Smart decor, great service, good food and a well provisioned bar. Just what Luton needs.
We had a great experience! We went for a birthday meal. There is a great range of food which is all really tasty (recommend the cod!!). The staff were really attentive and would were working hard to make sure we had a great visit. I’m sure we will be back. Thanks for a great evening! Also anreallt easy reservation system! Confirming booking couple of days before seems a good idea too.
Great place, lovely food. Drinks good, dealt with my elderly mother well.
Great food & great service. Would recommend to anyone!
I have visited The Wigmore Restaurant a few times now and every time, the service is amazing, the staff are so friendly, very helpful and professional. The food is always delicious, of a high standard, arrives quickly and the portions are more than generous. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The decor is classy, quirky and interesting. The Wigmore Restaurant is a little bit different to anything else Luton has to offer, which is refreshing(!) Feels like stepping into a ‘mini London’ establishment.. well done! JUST what Luton needed!! I will be back 🙂
Good food, pleasant environment. Massive menu of cocktails but you have so go to the bar and look to see what soft drinks are available.
A lovely fish and chip restaurant which has happy positive staff and wonderful food.
Lovely environment and friendly staff. Food is really good. Was slightly disappointed by the cod bites as they seemed to have a lot of "ends" of fillets so a bit dry. Drinks very pricey.
