Great food and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Best roast we've had in a long time. Will be a regular Sunday visit
A great evening, staff were very friendly
Great service and atmosphere. My battered fish was too oily. Needed to be drier. Other plates were well received by my party. Would recommend to others certainly. Zoe and team were great at service!
Good service food good allround except chips, think they could have been fried within oil that had also fried fish so had a horrible after taste.
Nice food but thought fish dishes were very limited
A lovely venue and great food.
The most delicious Sunday roasts and mouth watering desserts. The staff were attentive and helpful albeit not quite as quick as they could have been.
Perfect place for Sunday lunch with good choice on menu. Service was also good not having to wait too long at all. Will definitely be back.
First visit to your restaurant and really enjoyed the experience
I eat and drink with you regularly- always been very happy with everything.
Great food, friendly service and lovely atmosphere.
A huge thank you for Sunday lunch for our party of 15. Enjoyed by all. The room was lovely, the food delious and the staff were a credit to the hotel.
We really loved our dinner at the White Horse, we sat in a really part of the restaurant under the glass roof. The food was top class, and the service impeccable. Will most definitely be returning.
We had a lovely meal, food was great. We arrived at 2pm on Sunday restaurant was pretty quite at that point. But the service was very slow, took nearly 50mins for our deserts to arrive . I had to get up to ask if they was coming. Such a shame as to food was very nice , but it does seem to be slow service every time I visit .
Food was great, service was good till we got our main course, 45 minutes after we had eaten, plates had not been collected, during the wait no one can’t to see if we would like more drinks or to see the desert menu. Is a shame on my previous visit the service was very gpod,
I have had to give all 1 stars as this is the second time I have made a reservation only to turn up and it not even be open! I shouldn’t be able to book a table and receive confirmation of that booking and then when I arrived with my husband and two small daughters we were greeted with a locked door and no one around and then 2 very hungry frustrated children. Shockinh
The piano playing was too loud - we moved tables as we couldnt hear ourselves speaking
We celebrated our company anniversary here and thought the service and food was excellent. We had a large group and everyone was very impressed by how quickly all our food was served at each course and how good the food was considering such a large group. I have and will continue to recommend The White Horse as a place to host a large party. Thank you.
Absolutely delicious food and a great drink selection – introduced me to a non-alcoholic spirit that tasted just like a gin and tonic. Amazing! The environment is lovely and the staff are really friendly. Highly recommended.
We have been to eat at the White Horse three times and although the food is good the service has always been really slow to non existent.
Very pleasant atmosphere, served well and an enjoyable meal with a Tring brewery bear for me. Thanks.
Service was for the second visit terrible. This was a table of 8 reservation for a birthday. Small things missed like offering a wine list, telling us what the soup of the day was, informing us that they were out of a certain starter until we tried to place the order. Starters took nearly an hour to come with no apology. Mains took a while too & when they came no cutlery was already laid on the table ready. Had to ask for condiments about 7 times to different waiting staff & we had all nearly finished our entire meal when one measly spoonful of mustard arrived at the table. Not one member of staff explained at any stage despite is asking when the food would arrive etc. They returned saying it's coming now but with no apology or explanation. We had to call the manger over mid main meal. He did apologise but honestly did not feel is sincere enough given the circumstances. He did however take £35 off our bill & give the birthday boy a glass of free fizz which a nice touch but did not repreave all the previous misgivings. Was thinking of bringing my family here for Christmas lunch but now will not take the risk. Lovely place, decor lovely, food lovely but service shocking & ive been here half a dozen times now at different times of day & never been impressed with it.
Excellent food and service, especially from the young foreign waitress who was attentive and shared a joke or two. We had a great time and look forward to returning.
