About The White Hart
Nestled in the heart of the pretty village of Nettlebed and close to Henley and Marlow. The White Hart is a stylish and comfortable country inn that dates back to the 14th Century and still retains a traditional charm.
The food was excellent and my wife and I plan on eating there again. That being said, I had the curry, which was very tasty, but I did notice the odd cold bit within the meat. I assume that it was part cooked and then frozen, or chilled. it just needed a few seconds more in the microwave.
Brilliant little find, in a lovely little village in the Chilterns. Room was beautiful and the food and service excellent and what made it even better is it was a bargain!
Lovely pub, friendly staff and good food! Wish I lived nearer!
Really enjoyed lunch
We were there celebrating an 18th birthday and my son was given his first “legal” drink on the house. Thanks
The Lemon Chicken was delicious.
Lovely place to eat; staff pleasant and gentleman at carvery/chef welcoming. Particularly liked the way you are called to the carvery rather than queuing with several other tables. We were sat near the til which meant we often had fellow diners stood right next to our table but apparently that was the only table for two. I would ask for another next time. Decor is perfect. It was warm and the (South African) Sauvignon Blanc gorgeous! Only reason for four stars is the meal was luke warm - probably the gravy - which meant that we felt we had to eat quickly before it was cold. That's the nature of buffets and carveries I guess though. Would go again!
Attentive staff, nice choice of meals, pleasant background music
Lovely atmosphere and setting. Great food and good prices. Friendly and helpful staff. A fantastic experience
Food was beautifully presented but was tasteless. It really lacked flavour and seasoning. The staff were really helpful and friendly but it was hard to tell who worked there and who were customers as they were just dressed in jeans and sweatshirts. Some kind of uniform, dressing in black or an apron would help to distinguish who to approach.
The best Sunday Carvery we have had
We had a lovely Christmas dinner at The White Hart and would definitely recommend.
Christmas Day lunch - it was very busy, and fairly well organised. There was loads of food, of varying quality, but they did well considering the numbers they were catering for. Of all the meats (I didn't try them all), the beef was cooked beautifully, but the cauliflower/broccoli was watery, and potatoes a bit soggy. However, the camembert starter was good, and the puddings nice too. Good price on the corkage meant that we could bring our own wine.
Made our family Christmas so good, was relaxing and staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was incredible. Could not of asked for a better experience.
Excellent as usual
Lovely food, friendly staff
We had the carvery- absolutely delicious! We will be returning soon.
Good value and very good food, albeit a little hectic for service.
Enjoyed the evening but there was a bit of a cold draught most of the time! Menu varied with the South African influence which made a lovely change.
Excellent family dinner on Friday 8th November 19. Service was very good and the meal was well presented, well cooked and tasty. Excellent evening had by all.
Lovely surroundings, good food, good service by nice people
Excellent as ever. Great food and friendly staff.
This is not the first time that we have been to The White Hart, but it is the first time we have had Sunday lunch. The food was great, staff friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back for another Sunday lunch.
