Food is outstanding! Cocktails are delicious! Love it here!!
We arrived for my partners birthday dinner. I left birthday cake to be brought out at the end and some balloons for a table. Food was very tasty, cocktails were good. Staff was very slow. We were waiting 50 minutes between starters and mains... I know there were 10 of us so I didn't say anything...but then whenever we almost finished our coffees and paid our bill birthday cake wasn't out ! Never mind I pointed to the one of your staff the person who's birthday it was few minutes before coffee came... We had to go and ask for birthday cake again
Attentive service and best lobster in town!
Another really lovely meal at the Wheathill. Great food and very friendly staff.
Always have a lovely dining experience at the Wheathill, no matter how big or small the party is. Food is truly delicious, wine and cocktails are great and such a nice vibe. 3 courses and a glass of house wine for £21 on a Thursday night is a fantastic deal. The lobster Fridays seem to be very popular too. Keep up the great work you guys & girls.
The food was absolutely flawless, so tastey too, the girls serving where all over us. Worth every penny, I had the Pork Chop it was soo good, most of us had the Steak. My Mum in Law likes Battered Cod and there was Grilled Cod on the menu and I asked was it possible to make a batter and they said absolutely not a problem !! 💗
The Wheathill is one of my favourite restaurants - the food is always excellent and of the highest standard
Your wooden seats are very uncomfortable after only a short period. The tabletops are perhaps a little small too. An extra couple of inches of space would make a real difference. The Cliff Edge Sauvignon is very acidic and in my opinion not a good example of this area/ type. Having tasted your Guinness, I believe it to be from a draught tin. Had this been made clear on the menu, I would not have ordered it. That said, the food was nice, and the coffee good and strong, so although the experience was a little tarnished, it was still enjoyable.
We really enjoyed or evening out for dinner. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was amazing Thank you to everyone at The Wheathill.
We had a lovely meal, would defo be back.
Very helpful and welcoming to our small family gathering for a celebration - service was excellent and the food every bit as good as in some Michelin starred restaurants the family have tried. Highly recommended - we’ll certainly come again even though you’re not on our doorstep.
I had intended to contact you to say how much we enjoyed our meal last Friday but hadn't got to it! Three of us had dinner for Pam's birthday. All three meals were perfect and Pam and myself had the orange and almond cake for dessert which was sublime!
Your staff did really well given they were short-staffed..food and drinks great as always.
Very much enjoyed the meal - Ox cheeks were exceptional.
Disappointed on this visit - small mediocre portions - the wine was the best bit. Definitely not as we remember it.
Food was fantastic atmosphere great price bit dear but again food was fantastic. Service was a bit slow but you were busy and we did have a big group. But yes I will be returning in the future. Thank you very much
Enjoyed a great meal in a great atmosphere
Lovely dining experience at the Wheathill some of us had the pre fixe menu which was excellent value.
We were put at table at window rather than a normal table as I booked using this service they had already set the restaurant up for the night. Service is very slow, but food was delicious. Not sure if I would go back as for me was just too slow.
Lovely meal, fabulous fish dishes, friendly and efficient service. Looking forward to going back. Really recommend The Wheathill.
Excellent food cooked to perfection, staff very professional and helpful. I could not fault anything, well done to everyone, thanks for a great night
A very pleasant experience. Consistent food and service has improved since we were last able to go 2years ago and we thought it was good then. Will return hopefully after a much shorter interval. Best wishes.
I love The Wheathill -delicious as always
