Service from staff was a little slow as I had to ask twice for the dessert menu and a glass of water. However apart from that it was a lovely meal & enjoyable evening
First time back at the waterside since opening back up and we really enjoyed it. All covid measures were in place and it felt very safe. Food and service was great and were happy to be offered a table outside as the sun was out! X
Great location and atmosphere. Friendly staff and service began well. Price is a little to the expensive side but you do receive a good portion of food. Service lost its way after starters and we waited 30 mins to have our table cleared and this was only by us asking and requesting our main meal. With child amongst us our table could have been a quick turnaround and more attention required. Once mains did arrive one meal was then delayed by another 10 mins again asking for this to be checked. The food was good quality and very nice when arrived. Sadly the service let this evening down. I would still recommend as service can be improved and mistakes do happen.
Customer service and food was outstanding
The big breakfast was delicious I think it must be one of the nicest breakfast I have had couldn’t fault it at all the staff were so friendly it was a lovely experience we have just moved into the area so this was our first visit
Soft drinks expensive, coffee was very good, lunch was ok, not quite as hot would have liked.
Lovely to be back...hotel looking fabulous and staff welcoming..
Unfortunately service was really slow and we waited 5 minutes before someone even came and took a drinks order. Food was okay, nothing spectacular. The only saving grace was being sat at an outdoor table so we could order wine.
Overall everything was great, staff were friendly and welcoming and attentive. Great food too was great we will definitely be back!
Should be better
We had a thoroughly enjoyable visit yesterday afternoon. The food was delicious, service was friendly and efficient and the systems to keep customers safe in relation to COVID were slick!
The service was very slow while sitting outside and very little staff outside compared to staff inside! The food is average and expensive. We asked to move to a table on the verandah next to a patio heater and were told that was fine, yet before we sat down we were rudely shouted at by a female that the table was booked. Yet at the time we were advised booking of tables outside was not an option. We stayed another hour and the table remained free! Disappointing service and average food after being closed for so long! Suggest more patio heaters giving the Scottish weather!
Food was cold Service was slow as no one came to take our order. We had to ask someone to take our order after 40mins. Also took ages to bring bill when we asked. Restaurant was freezing.
Covid has had an effect on overall atmosphere but can't fault food or service.
Limited choice now for food. Only one type of lager, no choices. Service great and so nice to get out but don't know if we will return until things improve. Such a shame.
We had an amazing time on our overnight stay, food was delicious, cocktails were great and we had the the most beautiful room. We will 110% be back very soon :).
The drinks service was very slow.
I have given 4 stars for service as staff were friendly and accommodating, however, we unfortunately waited quite a while for our soft drinks (around 35/45 minutes) and had to remind someone that we had ordered them and to ask to order food. I believe the bar was busy and it didn’t mark our experience which was great otherwise.
Disappointed in the room, food was ok, staff were fabulous and service was great. Menu for DBB £190 wasn’t very good. However breakfast was excellent. Would like to have been informed about the facilities in our room before we booked.. The staff were excellent and thank them for their attention.
Love the waterside, but oh my god it was so cold sitting inside ,I had my coat on all through our meal . Chittering eating dinner isn't great . Reduced menu understandably but can't wait till things are back to normal
Fantastic food and service.
Excellent food and very welcoming staff.
Lovely atmosphere, delicious food & first class staff all so friendly & helpful.
Very poor service - waited 20 mins at the door even though we had pre-booked a table with a manager continually walking by rather than assisting us. New staff as always who seem untrained with no assistance from anyone senior. Food is ok but not worth the money. £9.50 for a kids meal of macaroni is a bit much.
