Great night for dirty dancing evening
Always choose The Vestry before going to The Mayflower theatre, so geared up to serve a rather scrummy pre theatre evening meal.
Lovely food, attentive service. Work needed on perfecting Porn Star martini!
Great service and friendly staff
Loved it ! really good start to the evening before going to Mayflower theatre
Lovely restaurant in a beautiful building. Service was very good, I was concerned when our food arrived after just a few minutes but it tasted fresh and was just hot enough. The dessert was delicious but I felt a little small. Overall a very nice place with very nice food. Perfect for dining before the theatre.
The service was not great we had to wait to be seated as there was nobody around and when the lady turned up she did even apologise she mumbled and when she brought our starters out she place mine down nice but pretty much threw my wife’s at her. It was really nice food and I liked the live music that was being played
Lovely place to eat and food and service were excellent.
Delicious food and great staff. A lovely venue and so convenient for the Mayflower
Had a 2 course lunch pre theatre visit. Food good, service slow and mixed up but due to a mix up in the kitchen so not waitresses fault-Jess who then apologised and kept us informed when the food would be ready. Will definitely eat here again
The girl behind the bar was attentive and as we were waiting for friends to join us outsiide, she came and got us and took us to the table, making sure that the starters came soon after as we were going to the theatre after our meal.
The potatoe was burnt for which the waitress apologised but I would have expected money off the bill. The beans were under cooked We could not send it back as we were going to the theatre. There was no cheese and biscuits. Sadly being our wedding anniversary it wasn’t the experience I had hoped for. Lovely building and nice waitress too.
Our waiter was a delight, the food was delicious and the restaurant was charming.will definitely be back 😊
Great food and service
Very speedy service and friendly staff.
Our service in the restaurant was great and the food was delicious. But when I initially tried to book via the phone I was told there were no available tables, it was only because the online system showed that there was space that I tried again. Once we for there only about 4 tables were full so o don't know why the first woman I spoke to on Friday wouldn't let me book.
We had the pre-theatre meal which was very good. Service was very quick and pleasant. Would just have liked the chocolate brownie warm.
Fabulous food, great service! Really enjoyed our pre- theatre meal!
Venue was very nice. Live music a great touch. I wasn’t a fan of the food. Vegan option very underwhelming. It wouldn’t encourage me to come back for food. But perhaps for a drink. I thought the service was great and very quick before the evening show at the mayflower.
Lovely meal, friendly staff.
The gnocchi was like no gnocchi we’d seen before. Not in a good way. The rest of the food was nice but not amazing. But convenient and suitable for pre theatre dinner.
A very enjoyable meal before visiting the theatre, and we were lucky enough to have a duo playing and singing , who were excellent . We have been about four times now and definitely our most favourite restaurant in the area .
Excellent service and nice food.
The venue was lovely & ideally placed for theatre but the menu was limited (no pasta dish) & bland. The staff were very pleasant but there were not enough of them (service at the bar was very slow) Cocktail prices varied on the inside menu to outside board
