About The Twenty Six
Twenty six chairs for twenty six people.
Take a seat. It’s our pleasure. Head chef Megs Buchanan offers an innovative and seasonal menu with ingredients respectfully prepared. Artisan, natural and biodynamic wines, plus cocktails and extract coffee served.
Lovely evening out with fantastic food.
Fantastic food and a great experience! Thank you. Everyone was catered for and was a touch for our vegetarian friend to be catered for as well. We had a great evening and hope to be back again soon
Always a pleasure to come here to eat.
Had dinner there last night to celebrate a birthday in the family &Mother's Day - we were 1st timers and would definitely visit again! Had such a lovely evening - the new menu is excellent and each dish that came out just got better & better. Flavours were exquisite. They were short staffed but the two servers kept on top of everything and if they hadn't of told us we would never have noticed. Lovely setting too, ambience great. Can't wait to return!
Glad they’ve expanded into daily brunch! Delicious!
Lived up to all expectations!
We had heard good things about The 26 so were looking forward to our evening. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. Wine great and a couple of the dishes were delicious. But... Service slow and not attentive, duck a bit disappointing (though sauce delicious) and white chocolate pudding underwhelming. We really wanted to love it but left feeling disappointed and not in a hurry to return
Very good food, had a lovely relaxing brunch
No champagne able to be purchased by the glass as they had sold out and had no stock
Lovely restaurant. Service was just right. Food was very good. The pineapple pudding wasn’t the right choice for me but can’t get it right every time
Absolutely delicious meal - we were made to feel incredibly welcome and served fabulous food. Will definitely visit again.
Anniversary dinner for 2. First time at Twenty Six but it had been highly recommended before. Loved it. Everything was spot on.
Trying to give you the Michelin style feel but unfortunately a bit hit and miss. Weetabix ice cream desert sounded edgy, but unappealing. Bream over salted and black sticks blue cheese not much bigger than a Dairy Lea slice. Pear in Desset could have been baked but was served raw. Needs a slightly broader menu in order to encourage guests to visit. Very quiet for a Saturday night with only 4 covers. Loved the intimacy of a small restaurant, nice setting and glimpses of great cooking, but probably wouldn’t return for a while. I hope they review the menu and really nail the food as this could be a very special restaurant.
Lovely food lovely service. Would definitely go back. Very good value for money.
Lovely restaurant. Intimate and homely ambience, delicious food with simple ingredients treated very well and a well thought-out menu. Would definitely recommend.
Our first visit to the Twenty Six and we loved the brunch, especially the chocolate pancakes! Service was great-dealt with my pregnancy related dietary requirements without any fuss. Really cozy with the log burner on the go. We will be returning!
It was our first visit to this restaurant, A really nice atmosphere and the food and wine offerings were excellent. One small suggestion - the duck could have been less pink for the two people on our table, but still very good. The service was impeccable.
Excellent food, wine and service. I must say I was disappointed at the loss of the tasting menu, but the new menu is very good.
Wonderful decor, food and staff. My dairy intolerant friend was catered for incredibly well. Very impressed and will definitely be returning!
Our office Christmas lunch was a great success. Service, Atmosphere and food were all very well received and enjoyed. Thank you to The 26 team.
We all had a very lovely evening.
We sat at the table by the window and it was really cold! The cold air from under the door curtain was freezing on ankles and the cold draught from the piping gaps on the wall froze the upper body! The manager was most sympathetic but could not resolve that issue for us. The food was superb and we would probably go again - not in the winter though or we would know to request a different table when booking.
Excellent evening, delicious food and great service. Salmon starter was devine, the duck bon bon and breast superb. Couldn’t fault it.
Excellent in all aspects
Outstanding food and friendly front of house
