About The Triton Inn
Pub-restaurant under new ownership offering fabulous home made British cuisine in a cosy rural pub. Great outdoor space, perfect for outside dining. Dogs welcome in the bar (if they're good!).
Did not like our table and the pasta was not cooked enough, otherwise it was lovely
Food wasn’t as good as it is normally - so we was disappointed but the weather and play area made up for it with the children.
I had previously had the fish finger sandwich and ordered it again yesterday. I was surprised it was now in thin white toasted bread. I recall it used to be in crusty bread The contents certainly weren't fish fingers rather a fish steak. It was warm but certainly not hot. My daughter enjoyed the Burger and the thick chips were good.
Mother’s Day was chaotic. Too many covers compromised the service. Took 1.5 hours to receive starter and the portion was literally 3 spoonsful of soup. Same with rice pudding dessert. Main course was tasty. Loved the Prosecco and daffs for mum but my advice is to reduce the covers and upscale the service .
Went for mothers day. Service was appalling wait 1 hour and 15 min for our starters which were cold then a further 50 mins for our mains. For the price that we paid I would of expected the service and food to be a hell of a lot better than we received. It spoilt what should of been a nice family meal out. Told the staff this when paying the bill and was just told sorry it's just been a busy day, that is not an excuse.
We visited as a party of 15 for my 40th. We pre-ordered and didn't have to wait long before the delicious food was brought out. Great presentation and very attentive staff. We would all definitely visit again!
Popped in to meet a friend, was just having a sandwich! I opted for the mushrooms on sour sourdough, which was nice, but added a portion of fries, which have to be the most salty things I’ve had, I do not use salt and would suggest they are left for the person eating to decide! My friend had the fish finger sandwich which was just served on a plate with no garnish in two slices of bland looking bread, very poor value for £5.50. Her side of a salad at £3.00 was also poor a few leaves, half a raw tomato and a slice of cucumber! The place was lovely and the staff, apart from we had to ask for our bill three times before it actually came! I did mention about the fries and the lady just said sorry she would mention it to the chef! Maybe I need to revisit and have a full meal for a further review.
Excellent as usual
We has several vegetarians in our group. The options were poor. A Sunday fmroast minus the meat with no substitute offered. Come on do better. The lad who spoke to us hasmd a bad attitude. We felt wrong for being vege. Not acceptable. Will not be coming back.
Great food and atmosphere. Excellent service
Regular customers happy to return sundays are busy but staff and chiefs have never failed to cope ... atmosphere full of family get togethers as should Sunday’s be
Amazing as always. Staff are great and make children very welcome
good friendly service, excellent food.
Really good service, food to match, keep up the good work!
excellent food and service as always
Really lovely menu, food beautifully presented and very good. Will definitely be back.
Fabulous meal with friends for our wedding anniversary! First time we’ve been and will definitely be back!
Really enjoy our meals at The Triton - especially the fillet steak & Tuesday night steak night is really good value for money!
Oliver nice friendly front of house service
Always enjoy going to the Triton. I feel the menu is a little limited and our meal was not hot enough hope this helps
Service was great really accommodating-limited specials but great seasonal and local choice on the menu
Much improved with new menu and service
It’s a nice welcoming pub but someone had 2 large dogs and I love dogs but think they shouldn’t have been sat in the middle of everyone eating as one of the dogs had a wee on the floor and up a table leg were a couple were sat eating. So too be honest that put me off a little
