About The Triton Inn
Pub-restaurant under new ownership offering fabulous home made British cuisine in a cosy rural pub. Great outdoor space, perfect for outside dining. Dogs welcome in the bar (if they're good!).
Had a wonderful Sunday lunch. Beautiful home made Yorkshire pud and roast potaoes. You can get cheaper Sunday lunch elsewhere but not to this standard !
Food was great as always it's been a while but will be back as regulars cheers and happy Christmas
Amazing three courses (smoked salmon, Dexter beef and walnut cake - all original and sublime), up there with the best in the local area. Love the new menu and tweaks to service and style. Lovely ambience and cosy atmosphere by the fire on a cold December Sunday. Looking forward to visiting again later this month.
We enjoyed a very tasty lunch after a ramble round Brantingham Dale. Portion size was ample with attention to detail. All staff were pleasant and helpful and the bar looked very attractive decorated for Christmas. We will come again.
If you want to go for a casual drink in the bar, there are only 2 stools! It is more of a restaurant than a pub! Staff don’t seem to be consistent, one day really friendly, the next a bit direct. However food was good but could have been hotter, wine rather expensive.
First time here and we were very impressed. We will be making a return visit very soon.
Fantastic place, good food, friendly staff and very reasonably priced. Will continue to visit here
Only one girl serving in the bar though working well.My party of eight arrived at 1pm and orders for drinks taken and then for main courses. Nothing served until 1,55pm Told it was because two people had ordered nibbles, which is hardly a course to keep the remaining six waiting. Most restaurants will have a basket of bread or breadsticks on the table as you arrive. Too much delay
Food was lovely and very good quality, slightly disappointed that the steak and ale pie didn’t come with any vegetables. And husband had a wait on the cauliflower cheese. But the quality was great.
Waitress did not explain you needed to order veggies etc as extras so therefore portion sizes a tad small and as such would then say overpriced. The menu is a step up and as such called fine dining, the food quality was excellent as always but not to everyone’s taste.
Nice place, nice atmosphere, food has really gone down hill, service was pretty average wouldn’t rush back!
Excellent food and a good atmosphere. Love it.
I absolutely love The Triton Inn. The food is excellent quality and cooked beautifully. The menu is not too big and is a little more interesting than just standard pub grub. It is extremely dog friendly. The waiter even brought my dog a bowl of fresh water. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is very easy to book online. All in all a very enjoyable experience. I look forward to returning again.
All things excellent; a tad noisy but that is because you are busy.
The service was terrible, the waitress was very young and simply had no idea or interest in asking if we required drinks! It took 25 minutes for her to make 2 g&t’s and pour a cider!! In the end the other lady had to help but she was busy with other tables it was a shambles!
We arrived at 6.10pm and had ordered by 6.20/6.25 but did not receive our meals until 7.10pm which we thought was unacceptable, it put a bit of a dampener on the night because itherwise the food was lovely
We had Roast beef and pork. The meat was very nice but there was an excessive amount of red cabbage that was overly sweet. I would have preferred more green vegetables. I had some cabbage 1 bean and a few baby carrots that didn’t have the roots trimmed. Gravy in a jug would have been preferred to add as much or as little as you wish.
Restaurant Staff excellent. Nothing was a problem,
Staff were attentive but poorly trained. It is normal to serve ladies first which didn’t happen and not reach over people with food. Food was OK but not the same quality as last time we went. We were a bit disappointed overall which is a shame because i always enjoyed going. Not sure if i’ll go back.
Nice pub, with tasty food.
Food is always beautiful, don’t think it is the most friendly service. I had someone ask to take my plate when I was still eating and then when I ordered another drink my glass was taken away even though still had quite a bit in it. Seems very rushed. Would definitely come back
We enjoy the food & service normally but were left disappointed when one of our main courses hadn’t been ordered - we had to wait over 10 minutes for it to arrive, by which point most of our party had eaten their meals! I was offered another glass of wine as apology but as I was driving I declined - disappointed that nothing was taken off the bill as way of apology instead
Lovely food and great service. Thanks all!
Great food and drink
lovely meal and great food
