About The Treasury Bar
Perfectly located in Plymouth City Centre, this listed building is the ideal setting for those wanting to graze, dine or drink. Focusing on locally-sourced, creative dishes with a classic twist - and complimenting it all with a bespoke cocktail, G&T or a glass of champagne.
Service first class. Good food and atmosphere. A very enjoyable experience.
First time visit for an Afternoon Tea. Excellent food, service and venue.
Great place, lovely staff, food is awesome and so are the drinks. I only wish the small cocktails would be a bit cheaper than the big ones. It's the same price for lower quantity...
Atmosphere and quality of food was very good my only complaint was the 45 minutes we had to wait before receiving our food.
Table of 15 - put on two different tables but nothing was said to me. Not great start. Waitress was lovely but clearly understaffed as drinks took 20 mins to arrive. Starters were bland and no pig in blankets with roast, when asked they said they are unable to give any ow as the pigs in blankets are frozen?? Need to establish a difference between seating area and bar as we had a lot of drunk geezers pushing into our tables. Wont be going back - shame, lots of potential.
Amazing quality of food. Very delicious. We had caesar salad-very varied and satisfying-roast chicken risotto-fine main meal-and the scotch pancakes-very flavoursome. Really whole ingredients. No industrial grub or fast food here. Great atmosphere-quiet music and superb for quiet chatting, for young and old alike.
Great choice of drinks with festive additions and great food
Was very busy but still quick and friendly service and staff.
absolutely dreadful , booked a Christmas staff meal for staff and could not even talk amongst each other it was like sitting in a nightclub , people just stood around our table drinking whilst we are trying to eat our duinner / no selfie props like was tols there would be , nothing Christmassy or special about it, might aswell of gone to my local pub on a Saturday night. service was shocking 1 waitress was absolutely rude with no manners driks bill at the end had drinks added on that were not even ours , certainly would never recommend for staff Christmas party , and will not be coming back
This was emailed to Kirsty, still waiting to hear back: Hi Kirstie, Last night was our staff Christmas party and, as you know, we pre-ordered our food for a 6pm arrival. When we arrived and sat down (5:50pm) we weren't acknowledged for almost an hour, while waiting for our starters to come out. We had a second activity to move onto so I had to ask the waiter what time our starters were coming as we needed to leave by 8pm. When the food eventually came out, it was cold - we also had to ask a few times for some water for the table and the prosecco (that was pre-ordered for 'arrival') never came. The portions were extremely small, so much so that we all ate again after the meal. My colleague who ordered cheese and crackers for pudding was just given a plate of cheese - no crackers. My other colleague ordered a desert, was charged for it, but it never came and the waiter told her she didn't order it. And due to all of this, we were late for our second activity and as I'm sure you can imagine, no one was having a good time. Due to the fact that I am very new to my office and role, I was extremely embarrassed and felt responsible as I had been tasked with organising the Christmas party. I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of service we received last night - and I feel very embarrassed that I booked to go to The Treasury on wonderful recommendations from my friends because, for us, it was a disaster from start to finish. I'm not sure who to talk to regarding this - so please pass me onto the relevant person. Many thanks,
Fantastic night spent at the Treasury for our Christmas work meal. Staff were great nothing was too much trouble throughout a busy evening. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was festive, thank you to all.
It was my mums Birthday treat and booked the Treasury as I do every year. This year it was awful, lack of service choice of food and no atmosphere. Very unlike other years! Only 2 servers working and no choice of veggie menu. Very poor for the prices you charge!! Very disappointed and will not book again. Mum deserved to be treated and it didn't happen.
Service was slow, food was not as advertised, vegetables were advertised as roasted but served as mashed.
Music was quite loud so wasn’t great for evening meal and conversation but apart from that, all good
Travelled from Barnstaple with my husband to meet up with friends. We had been to the Treasury previously with my sister ans were pleased to see that it was as good as it was back then. My friends were equally impressed and would go again
Thank you very much for accommodating such a large group of us for some lovely food and drinks!
Service was a bit slow as time went on, due to only one member of staff being front of house! Fish and chips were very good and the mulled wine excellent. Will be back as it is a favourite place of ours.
We had the Christmas platter which was delicious could you add pork crackling next year? Service was great, drinks were great. Had a fab time
Good service and atmosphere as usual.
Thank you for reserving us a booth for our christmas do :)
We had the 3 course Christmas Menu. Potatoes were the only hot things on the menu. Parsnips and sprouts were almost raw.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the only thing that could improve it would be at least one more person behind the bar, (there was only 1) and at least one more waiting staff.
Absolutely stunning meal last night. Fab, hot, well seasoned Christmas dinner and the most amazing dessert of Choc orange bread and butter pudding. Elliott was very attentive and charming. Cannot fault it, my favourite place in Plymouth for meeting up with friends for drinks and food .
Lovely environment for a great catchup lunch with friends.
