About The Three Tuns - Henley on Thames
The Three Tuns offers Michelin recommended pub and dining in the heart of Henley on Thames. Situated in the heart of the Market Place next door to an old fashioned butcher; Machin's (who supply all our meat) is what looks like a quaint little old pub affectionately known as "The Tuns". However, looks can be deceiving, as well as delicious fresh food; a menu that combines traditional pub classics and seasonal dishes with modern cooking methods the Tuns offers more than meets the eye. The bar has an old wood panelling and an open log fire where you can people watch from a table near the window. The dining room offers relaxed rustic charm, wooden tables and chairs and lots of old beams. Venture further and you will find a courtyard terrace garden which offers a tranquil place to drink and dine in the summer months, where you can escape the bustle of the town centre and while away the afternoon. Finally The Stable Bar offers a multifunctional space that is frequently booked for private dining, birthday parties, christenings, small weddings as well as training courses, business meetings and the occasional comedy night! The room itself, not quite as old as the main building still has characterful old beams, folding doors that open onto the terrace and its own fully stocked bar which includes draught and real ale pumps. The pub itself dates back to the 17th century, we are owned by Brakspear and serve their fine real ale and are Cask Marque accredited. Sunday lunch is also a must, the roast beef has become renowned for its melt in the mouth qualities over the last five years since Mark and Sandra took over running the pub, and has been recommended in the Michelin guide for the last 4 years. They now have another pub too, just 13 miles away towards Wallingford, in the village of Berrick Salome. The Chequers is a complete contrast to "The Tuns" in that it is a sprawling country village pub but offers similarly great food and a warm welcome from its team.
We were made to feel very welcome and the food was great.
We had a very enjoyable meal at The Three Tuns. Delicious pies with a choice of toppings of either pastry or mash and different choices of vegetables as well as other main courses. The staff were informative and really nice. Lots of atmosphere with beamy, old world charm. An excellent evening.
Amazing Food, Cozy, Great Staff.
Is in the Market place. Staff friendly. Service very quick. Food lovely.
Specialises in pies with various toppings and fillings. Well worth a visit
Perfect pies and lovely staff.
The bread could be more imaginative.
Would have liked to see a better ale selection but thought the food was fantastic and so was the service!
The quality of food and service at this pub is the best and most reliable in Central Henley.

Great friendly service. Delicious food and lovely old pub
consistently great food and service!!
Excellent Sunday lunch and friendly efficient service in an atmospheric old pub. The vegetables were particularly good, especially the carrots.
Had difficulty managing with such a smal table once vegetables and gravy arrived.
Great dining, staff and ambience.
Best Sunday lunch in town
