Welcome to The Three Compasses.
Fantastic food and service.
Unfortunately we had to send the minestrone soup back as it had no flavour and certainly no tomatoes in it! The service was slow but the waitress was friendly and kept us updated. The pasta was lovely. The guests who had the roast said it was good.
Amazing food and service
Food is very good and well presented. Music a little too loud as made it difficult to have s conversation as had to strain to hear. Would be more relaxing if music was confined to the bar area.
Great evening. Food was lovely. Atmosphere was very buzzy and the drinks were good. Would have loved a cocktail menu.
Service was great. Sour bread was exactly as it’s title, rather a plain roll. Overall, very good. Will come again. Thanks louise
Had a lovely visit on Wednesday 10th April for a birthday lunch. Food and service was excellent. Would definitely visit again soon.
Ian in bar and reception excellent waitress excellent
Staff and atmosphere were lovely but we thought the food was very average and expensive for what it was. My husband had the sea bass and I had the artichoke salad which we both thought were very bland and tasteless. We were really disappointed and whilst would possibly return we wouldn’t hurry back.
Knowledgable and pleasant staff,excellent food.
We all had a lovely meal, service was great and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. One of the pies had to be sent back as not hot enough, but this was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. We will definitely return.
Great food - loved the mozzarella starter Beautiful presentation Great atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely return
Delicious food, friendly staff, charming setting
Beautiful food, excellent service.
Took my father and aunt for a birthday and early mother’s day lunch. I specified we would need a table as I was bringing my puppy. The table was tiny, we were not allowed to sit outside because the kitchen didn’t want to serve the full menu so had to sit in the dark of the snug. Food was average, service was slow and I thought the ambiance was flat inside. Won’t be going again. Disappointing
Lovely food, friendly staff. Welcoming to children and dogs!
Service was perfect staffs are friendly kind...I used to come often before the new management took over. Really enjoy the place...😊🙂
We had a nice table Food was amazing Kids menu was good Mains are expensive (steak & seabass)
We sat in the rear area. It was a little noisey. Lots of glass and low ceiling. Food was excellent . The dish my wife ordered could not be completed as stated so the chef came out and explained the changes he would make. She agreed to it. When her food was delivered it was excellent and he came out again to check it was alright. A very good meal and night out.
Great food and service!
Great food and service
I ordered the steamed salmon which on the menu states is served with new potatoes and samphire. Mine came with rice, advocado and runner beans!!!!! It was also cold. I have no idea what the chef was thinking of!!!!! I sent it back and couldnt be bothered to order anything else so i left feeling hungry.
Good food, great service, will go again.
Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy my lunch; I ordered the chicken escalope it was very over cooked and dry, the desert was the doughnuts with Nutella also very dry and difficult to eat. But my husband loved his lunch of sausages and mash followed by a crumble he enjoyed both saying the crumble was a small portion. We would return for a Sunday lunch.
Food was lovely, service could of been better.
