The Terrace Lounge offers guests a relaxing environment in which to enjoy a quick bite to eat - or linger a little longer if the mood strikes.
A casual yet classy atmosphere makes this the ideal spot in which to take a breath and enjoy good company.
My partner and I were booked in for a 3 course dinner. As a starter, we both ordered the chicken wings. They were the best wings I've had in Ireland. Kudos to the chef! I wasnt very happy with our service, as our 1st waitress wasnt very friendly. The 2nd one (I think the next shift) was lovely. The atmosphere in the restaurant was spoilt with the sizzling steak platters that the other tables seemed to be ordering. The smoke from the platters were making my eyes water, and I had to go out for some air. I dont know how the smoke alarms werent going off. All in all, the food was brilliant, staff were good. I would go back again, but sit next to a window.
This review is for the breakfast at 10am. The food was average, but the service was very poor. Our order docket got lost, and we had to wait for 45mins till the staff realized and asked us to order again. I had to remind them that I had also ordered toast. The pastries we were served tasted a bit stale - like they were kept in the open for a while. However, it was value for money, as the breakfast was included in our room stay package.
Enjoyed our lovely lunch and even though things are different at the moment it was still a wonderful day and the food was fabulous as always .
Excellent service from Amanda and particularly Leah, fabulous birthday dinner which we were suprised with a birthday desert with candles, really lovely touch and the fillet steak on the stone was awesome.
I wish I had of gotten the name of our server because she was absolutely lovely. We were there on 15/10 in room 214 booked in for 7pm so if you can figure out who she was with that info I'd be delighted if you told her how great she was!
Leah, Danny and Amanda were amazing providing exceptional customer experience, will definitely be back.
Highly recommend the burger and chips, but all the food is very tasty!

The whole experience eating our meal here was fantastic. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome with a lovely atmosphere and with pleasant and warm interactions and prompt service from all the staff. The staff were very accommodating with our full on 3yr old daughter. The food was exquisite and certainly recommend the experience to friends, family and colleagues. Ciara and David Costello
They didn't have half of the dish I ordered and just replaced with veg a without asking, when I questioned they said they hadn't got it. But they did give free desert to accommodate the missing items.
Very relaxing and felt very safe.

Amazing customer service from start to finish! Proposed to my girlfriend in the hotel and when we went to the terrace lounge we were given a bottle of Prosecco on the house and congratulated! Thanks again !

Lovely tasty food and friendly staff. Would recommend few more floor staff as they were extremely busy but managed well under pressure.

Food was really good. Julianne was excellent when serving us for the duration that we were there. Overall we were very happy given the new experience we are all having however one negative is that it was 31 minutes from the time we sat down to the time our 3 drinks arrived at the table and it wasn't that busy. Not sure what was going on.
Food was lovely. Staff were over ran however and we were waiting ages to get another drink and our desert menu
Overall experience was terrible. Booked into the terrace lounge and got put in Swifts bar. Waited at the entrance for 5-10 minutes before any servers came over to us. Got seated and was told one of the starters was unavailable so we Just ordered two medium well done steaks on the stone. They took 40 minutes to come out and when they did the stones weren’t even hot as we could put out hands on them. We cut open our steaks after 20 minutes and still RAW on the inside as the stones were not heated properly. I did not finish mine and my partner complained and ordered a new one. Was told the chef would cook his directly as an apology for the mishap on both our mains the first time: the steak came out 20 minutes later burnt on the outside and pink raw on the inside. Absolutely disgraceful from Knightsbrook. Absolute rip off. When we complained numerous times all we were told was that they were really busy and didn’t have a lot of staff. No excuse as they should be equipped with staff for reopening. Not only that when we were waiting around for our mains to come out we saw a waiter come out to another table with two wings which were told to us were unavailable at the start. Also asked why we were placed by the bar when I booked into the terrace lounge and I was told there was too many people in the lounge. So then why allow us to book into the lounge? Also menu was very misleading online as to the laminate plastic sheet we got in the bar. Complete waste of money and will definitely not be returning.
Can you please see below for feedback - it was a very disappointing stay. -When we arrived on time for our dinner booking we were told our table wasn't ready yet and we had to wait outside the restaurant for 30 minutes - Twice during dinner we requested cocktail menus. When they eventually were brought out to us we placed our orders, only to be told that they weren't serving cocktails... - Similarly, three times during dinner we requested the wine list. When the list was eventually brought out, we again read through it and placed an order only to be told that they only had one wine on the whole menu available. - We were waiting 45 minutes for our starters to come out - We had to share 1 plate of dessert between our whole table as this was apparently all that was left in the kitchen I fully appreciate that these are unprecedented times we are in and that the hospitality industry are operating under very different guidelines, but surely all the above mentioned are not as a result of this. Also, the reception staff were extremely helpful and were able to change our booking for us at the desk when we arrived which was much appreciated.
We eat at the hotel regularly and had started to dine in the restaurant because the service in the lounge had gotten really bad. This was not the case on Friday. The staff were great and attentive, the food was absolutely excellent as always and we look forward to returning again soon.
