I don’t really like being asked if my meal is ok whilst l am eating said meal otherwise perfect
We had the Witches afternoon tea and were very disappointed being our last treat before heading home. The sandwiches were relatively poor quality compared to what we ate at other times and this out a downer on the event. We thought there may be a witch appearance based on chatting but there wasn’t and the table was far too small for us and another table had to be set up for the food. Also there there 6 finger sandwiches for 1 person but only 9 for 2 people. Disappointing and I was hoping to speak to Ashley but there was a wedding and she seemed too busy and I didn’t want to bother her. All other experiences at the note had been amazing so this realy was a blip and I guess more noticeable.
Comfortable, stylish space with an amazing view, really good food (including really good kids food!) and courteous staff. A lovely Sunday afternoon dining experience.
Service was not good. Arrived and sat at our table for 20 minutes before anyone came over to us to take our drinks order...even though about 6 girls working there had all walked past and noticed us. Upon leaving we duly waited at the till to pay, with three ladies working behind the counter talking and ignoring us for 5 minutes before one of the ladies asked one of the other two to deal with us. Bad service by people I am assuming are new at working in customer services.
Excellent "Traditional Afternoon Tea" to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary - thank you.
Service fantastic, view amazing afternoon tea was exquisite
We took afternoon tea at the hotel and both my partner and I were impressed by the level of professionalism and the approachability of the staff. Our table was beautifully situated looking out across the beach, we both had a lovely time.
All the staff were very attentive, from the moment I stopped the car at the main Hotel entrance to allow my 90 yr old Mum to get out as near as possible! The young gentleman on the door could not have been more helpful. The champagne afternoon tea was lovely, a delightful afternoon. We would love to visit again !
Absolutely fantastic treat for the wife's birthday. Even with boardmasters on next door, the service couldn't be faulted. One of the best afternoon teas the wife has had. Definitely returning, and this time with a room for the night.
Nice atmosphere and beautiful surroundings
Scones were not very light and fresh and cakes and sandwiches were average. Polite staff but nothing extra was done to make my mother feel special for her 82nd birthday
Staff need to remember things such as tea strainer, spoons etc..without us asking and making sure glasses on the table are clean. I also think we shouldn't have to ask for water. This should be offered immediately once we are seated. This has happened on the last two ocassions. This would just finish off what was a perfect afternoon tea.
Great food, stunning environment
Wimbledon themed afternoon tea was delicious!
Amazing afternoon tea with lovely sea view, very busy but still well looked after, only criticism is we weren't offered a choice of teas.
ALL PRETTY GOOD REALLY. ALSO HAD A GOOD MEAL THE PREVIOUS EVENING. I REALLY ENJOYED MY STAY AT THE HEADLAND. ALL STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL - FULL MARKS. ALL HELPED BY GLORIOUS WEATHER OF COURSE.
Very enjoyable afternoon tea served by polite attentive staff in pleasant relaxing surroundings.
Beautiful setting with beautiful weather, food was OK, very overpriced and no more special than what you can make at home. £15 for Chicken, Bacon and Avocado and lettuce leaves (couldn't really call it a salad). Just very expensive pub food. Overpriced drinks. Gin served in wine glass as they had ran out of gin glasses. As I said the hotel itself is in the most beautiful setting and has wonderful views but wouldn't rush back.
I came with a party of 5 (4 adults) for a birthday celebration last Sunday. The weather was very warm and the dining room and terrace well ventilated with plenty of sunshades outside. Although. very busy we were looked after very well but not hurried. The food was excellent and the view to die for. Thank you Headland for making it a lovely day for us.
Wonderful experience in your dining area , I little disappointed that my friend and I were unable to use your amazing lounge over looking the sea but it has been allocated to a meeting & all laid up with dining tables , the area opposite the bar has seats but the club chairs are extremely uncomfortable/ small , sofas quite saggy, I am saverly disabled but like to transfer from my power wheelchair to sit with a friend unfortunately was unable to get comfortable, IT Was SUCH a joy to discover that The Headland Hotel had replaced the steps at the end of the concrete pathway so disabled people using wheelchairs can now access the cliff top , i will visit more often now I see this wonderful access has been done , I did make a point of asking a member of staff to please pass on my great appreciation to the management, Well Done Headland this Will make Such a difference, sincerely grateful.
Was welcomed at the entrance and reception and shown to the terrace by a very nice young man and who helped us sign in. The service is as excellent and nothing was too much trouble for any additional service. Will be coming back for sure.
Excellent had a wonderful time
Lots of staff but not attentive at all - Fantastic food though and lots of it
Staff where lovey but service was very poor, drinks ordered same time as food and waited 15 minutes for both to turn up at same time. Had to ask for more drink when my glass was empty. For money paid service should be 5 star not 1 star. Sorry but triaining required
