About The Terrace: Brunch, Lunch & Dinner
Cool, coastal dining
Located steps from the famous sands of Fistral Beach, our vibrant Terrace Restaurant offers a unique oceanfront dining experience. With floor to ceiling glass, wooden floors, and crisp décor, this is laid-back beach living at its best.
The menu offers a relaxed selection of fresh local seafood, chargrilled cuts of the finest meats, hearty pasta dishes, seasonal salads and irresistible daily specials, along with expertly-muddled cocktails. Popular with locals and residents alike, The Terrace engages all the senses
The food was fabulous, but the service was terrible we waited for 45 minutes after arrival for our 1st drinks order to be taken, and over an hour for our food order to be taken. We sat outside and felt totally forgotten despite being a table of six - we had planned on bringing our friends for a while and were very disappointed after praising the hotel and restaurant to them. It was rare for a member of staff to check in and see if there was anything else we wanted. Tables also sat uncleared for 30+ minutes. Disappointed after creating a large bill.
We ate on the terrace as we had 2 small Chihuahuas with us so it was nice that we were accommodated! Views of Fistral Beach were lovely. Food was Delicious ( forget fish and chips from Rick Stein they were AMAZING from The Headlands!!) Service was a bit slow and they forgot to make one of the meals, but they were very busy .. when I made it known to them they soon brought it out. We will definitely return 10/10
As a regular to the headlands once again had a lovely lunch
Great location. We come often to Newquay and have eaten at the Headland many times. We brought friends with this time. We waited a long time for our meals and had to ask more than once for our drinks. We ordered a cheese platter for dessert with Port which never came. When we asked, the bar man didn’t know what Port was. Our meals were all lovely, however my friends chicken salad was missing the cucumber and other bits of the salad. It only came with chicken and lettuce.
Great place to go for some food. Plenty of space and social distancing. Love that the dog can join us. Helpful staff and very nice facilities - even as a guest for a meal.
Arrived in what was chaotic reception. No clear signage and certainly no one taking temperature. Arrived to be told no reservation made despite the fact that I’d booked table for 1pm. New waitress who’d started an hour before we’d arrived. She was excellent and very attentive. You need to do another risk assessment around the hotel for COVID-19 measures. Overall it certainly didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel. On top of all of concerns, I was overcharged for a bottle of wine we hadn’t consumed. Disappointing experience. You are relying too much on your location.
Lovely setting, friendly service. Always a favourite for cream tea. Delicious.
Amazing food in a friendly environment with a breathtaking view! Will be returning.
Two days running they left us waiting for nearly a hour waiting for out order to come and my crab sandwich was warm had to send it back and then waited over half an hour for a replacement meal such a shame as I luv it here but service as definitely gone down hill
Expensive for a cream tea! With prepackaged jam and cream neither were enough for both scones!
Always a lovely visit, especially on a sunny day, staff very attentive, friendly and welcoming.... Xx
Great location and atmosphere.
Excellent .. as always
Amazing weekend for my partners 50 birthday, beautiful room, amazing location, brilliant staff throughout Highly recommended,
Our young waitress was lovely they forgot to put a balloon on the table for my granddaughter birthday but the waitress soon rectified that for us our 2nd year of spa treat and lunch, my granddaughter was 11 plus 5 friends for spa treatment and lunch I did think that for 1 hours swim adult swim was slightly expensive.
Service is first class
Totally 100% enjoyable, first class food and superb service.
Callum was superb, brilliant service. A lovely experience that we could not fault.
Nice location, good food and service. Prices are not unreasonable given location and equivalent local venues. We ate midweek (Thursday night) out of season. Restaurant was a bit quiet and so atmosphere subdued. Only disappointment was the location of our table, which was a squashed into the corner of the room. We thought it might be because we had booked late and other diners had been allocated tables ahead of us. However, it didn't get busier and so we felt a bit "out on a limb" sat where we were, especially given the number of empty tables around us.
Fish and chips were not worth £14.50 they were very disappointing.
A beautiful venue, excellent food with friendly helpful professional staff. Very highly recommended to all.
With Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen now gone this is the place to eat . Great food and Stunning views
