Excellent afternoon tea! All elements were fantastic! Great value for money and a gorgeous setting. Thank you!
We had a lovely afternoon. Sophie and Ellis were both very helpfull. We have only one small complaint, that is no one came back to our table to check everything was ok, or too see if we needed anything. Thank you for lovely afternoon tea. Really lovely. Regards. James.
Superb location and staff extremely helpful, first rate experience, we decided on our experience and Reserved a full weeks holiday for next year at the hotel. Absolutely recommended.
We felt the service was lacking. Our food was delivered but that was the last time we saw a server. We had to gesticulate over and over to try to catch someone's attention to bring more clotted cream. We were not asked whether our food was satisfactory; we were not offered more tea; we had to go up to the counter to ask for clean plates half way through so that we could have our cakes after our sandwiches. All in all, just lacking in attentive service. We were not made to feel special in anyway. We were not offered 'fizz', just asked if we wanted tea or coffee with our afternoon tea and then when our drinks were brought we asked for prosecco which when we paid we were advised that this cost more as we did not order at the beginning, even though we were not advised that this was an option. As stated earlier...lacking.
Surroundings beautiful inside and out. The staff waiters and waitresses inside the Hotel very pleasant and polite. However, the car park attendants/door staff on arrival do need to go back to the basics of greeting people their attitudes are rather bullish and rude. It's a shame as they are the first impression on arrival.
Service by Kristin was excellent
Lovely afternoon tea and lovely surroundings
Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
We booked the restaurant to celebrate our 1 year anniversary in which we got married in the hotel exactly one year ago. we had high expectations following the outstanding. Service we had on our wedding day there. We arrived to find 2 bar people arguing in front of us and then after a while went to our table, this was in direct sunlight and you couldn’t even see without sunglasses. We asked to move and had the worst experience ever, even with tables free, no let’s see what we can do etc - just no that’s it, other option sit in the bar !! - this was from what we could see the restaurant manager .... we just left !! What was expected to be an amazing experience again and celebration ruined ...... What has happened in one year headland ??
Absolutely amazing the quality and ambiance were superb
Food was excellent. Waitress lovely. Disappointed restaurant looked messy and full of mostly scruffy looking diners.
Fantastic, such friendly and attentive staff, always a treat, cant wait till we go again 😀
A lovely time and very accommodating for young children
We had afternoon tea and it was definitely one of the best we have had. The food was absolutely delicious and amazing value for money. Such a beautiful hotel with beautiful views of Fistral Beach.
Fabulous time spent with friends enjoying a superb afternoon tea. Wonderfully attentive staff and great service. Thank you.
We were celebrating our daughter’s graduation and she wanted us to go somewhere special. The Headland never disappoints! We loved the fact that the table was decorated as well.
Fantastic setting, delicious food, and service excellent.
A great location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience made all the better for being able to bring our dog along too. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return on future holidays.
We went to the Headland Hotel for Afternoon Tea we have been before many times and the food, service is always 100%. Upon arrival we was greeted by Ellis who asked myself and my wife where we would like to sit which was nice he was friendly. Our waiter was Kristian again he was friendly and polite throughout the whole time we was there checked if we had any dietary requirements and explained everything that was served on the Afternoon Tea. Both me and my wife enjoyed our time at the Headland Hotel as we always do and look forward to going again. Thank you to Ellis & Kristian for excellent customer service 100% and very professional and thank you to the chef who created the wonderful Afternoon Tea.
We do have afternoon tea several times a year and while the service is excellent and the views spectacular, we found that the cakes were not as delicious as in previous visits.
Overall, your hotel is fantastic. We had a good experience in the Terrace but not great. The food was ok but nothing outstanding. The wine menu was really poor; not much selection and very overpriced. £35 for bottle of Provence Rose is far too much. Especially when compared to Lewinnick Losge which has similar bottle for £25. The service was good but had to wait a while for main course dishes to be collected. The ambience and view were fantastic so that counts for a lot.
We were seated at a table near the entrance and the outside doors which caused a very windy draft. We asked to be moved but felt we were causing a nuisance. The staff said wait until they had cleared the table but no one went to do it. We eventually moved ourselves and the staff came to clear after 15 mins. We had emailed previously that one of us were vegetarians and we explained when arriving the same. When the sandwiches arrived there were 2 sandwiches each which consisted of egg mayonnaise and plain cheese very very disappointing. We did not want to make a fuss as we had already asked to move tables. We had been so looking forward to our afternoon tea and it was a very disappointing time. The view was amazing and the hotel was spectacular but I could not recommend the afternoon tea which is such a shame
Nice location. Service average, good menu.
