**Live Music in The Terrace Thursday 2nd April, Thursday 9th April & Thursday 16th April**
The Terrace Bar & Restaurant is open every day from morning until late for everything from coffee to lunches, afternoon tea, drinks and dinner with a side of sea views.
With al fresco decking and a conservatory with a retractable roof for sun drenched days and balmy nights, it’s the perfect relaxed space for romantic dinners, family Sunday lunch or planning the next days’ fun over cocktails.
Our chefs are passionate about using as much of the finest locally sourced produce as they can in their dishes, from milk and vegetables to fish and meat.
Little guests have their own menu and we make sure there are plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes available.
We welcome well behaved dogs in our conservatory area only and request that they be kept on a lead.
Great food and service. The woman that served us was amazing her name was claire. Made us feel welcome and friendly to talk to and have a laugh. We did have a problem with our hot tub at our lodge, she went above and beyond to help us.
Whilst the service we had was great, it did seem quite understaffed which resulted in longer waiting times. Our servers were fantastic and couldn’t have been more helpful, but they were being pulled in a lot of directions.
Super friendly, helpful staff, good live music & a lovely meal. Thanks
Staff friendly. Need more options for Vegetarian. We had a nice meal.
The starter took nearly an hour to come without any staff checking on us or explaining the delay. I had to go and ask where they were. They did give us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to apologise. The starter eventually came, but with the scallops missing the chorizo. I had the soup off the specials which was very tasty. My main was the squash carbonara, which was advertised as vegetarian but had bacon in it. My husband did love his crab linguine, very tasty. Generous portions! Dessert was delicious and beautifully presented. Overall the food was very fresh and tasty. Good portion sizes and staff were very friendly and nothing was too much. It has a nice atmosphere and is very family friendly. Dogs also welcome in the conservatory. Just took a little long fir the food to come and some details overlooked.
Great service, delicious food and a warm and welcoming atmosphere
Was hoping for a really good meal as reviews had been promising. Unfortunately the standard of food want as hoped. My mussel starter was cooked to the point of no return and then my special board steak was so overcooked it was not very pleasant. The staff dealt with both issues well. But the bad food put us off booking again which was a shame as we wanted to try a few things in the menu.
We stayed in a lodge on site... the food, staff and atmosphere were so lovely that we ate there 4 nights in a row whilst we were away! The staff made the children feel so welcome and really cater for them. The food was fantastic... the best mussels we have ever had. Can't wait to book up again so we can come back to The Terrace.
We often visit The Terrace as we live locally and we are never disappointed. The food is consistanly great and all the staff are lovely.
We weren’t notified that our order for drink/food would be taken from the table so kept going to the bar. Informing customers of this when being seated would be easier. Overall it was great food which arrived quickly.
We stayed in the Signature Lakeside Lodge and ate at the Terrace Bar in the evening. The service was very good and the staff very welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious, and no complaints whatsoever.
Wonderful meal and our dogs were very well looked after too
would have been nice to have gf yorkshire puddings and cauliflower cheese available the same as the normal meals and at least another dessert that does not have chocolate in it...but it was an amazing meal...
Fantastic food and a wonderful service from all the staff very attentive throughout the evening. Great value for money and a very varied menu. Can’t wait to book again.
Great gluten free options which were much appreciated.
Cold shellfish pasta Burnt garlic bread Burger buns “chard” on a griddle to put lines on and make it look more fancy. Maybe take it off after it starts to smoke and burn. Kids couldn’t even eat their burgers and buns as they were blackened. Much like the garlic bread. Pizza needed to be cut with a steak knife. Then feared would smash the plate as had to push down and try and cut so hard until the pizza base snapped. Advertises its open till late. Drove back on park at 7.30 on Sunday and it looked to have been closed for some time. Would never return
After booking in advance we waited 1 hour 15 minutes for our food. A problem with the ordering process meant we had waited an hour before anyone realised the order had not been put through. Staff were very apologetic. Food arrived with parts of it uncooked. More apologies and the food was given for free. We barely ate any and came home to ourselves lunch. A very very poor experience which is such a shame because we have had a number of lovely family meals here. Perhaps a new chef or untrained staff? Either way not great.
Reasonable quality food. Some dishes are excellent whilst others are mediocre. Staff are attentive at the start but then absent for the rest of the meal. 10 minutes after finishing I had to find someone to ask for a dessert menu.
Good food and extensive menu. Very slow service though, we had to ask a number of times to order food or drinks.
Very welcoming, service was efficient but not rushed. Food was very good and big portions, we couldn’t manage dessert, but they sounded delicious. Will be coming again.
On arrival it was very busy so waited to be seen we were than shown to our table by a chef to be Informed someone will be along to take drinks order . Had to ask for a children's menu as wasn't one on table . When ordering food it wasn't really clear on instructions of this from the waitress she just disappeared and reappeared with tokens few minutes after . I saw a sign when queing for carvery saying to pay before hand but on doing so after a little wait was then told I could at the end of the meal . Lovely atmosphere and delicious food couldn't fault one bit just may be a nice greeting from the waitress and some direction on what's next be nice .
Amazing food and fantastic service a*********
Waitresses seemed unhappy, no one came and checked our food was ok also our table wasn’t cleared so in the end we had to move to a different table. We ordered the same food as the table next to us (afternoon tea) but they seemed to have more than us and was also asked if they wanted more sandwiches which wasn’t offered to us unfortunately. Wasn’t made to feel welcome which was such a shame as it was a supposed to be a nice day out for my husbands birthday.
Overall decent food. Had Sunday lunch (excellent), afternoon tea (excellent) and dined there for 2 other evening meals (some very good, some less so). Starters were probably the one let down and felt a little overpriced for the quality. Staff friendly if slightly understaffed whilst we were there. Stretched the ones working a bit. Overall decent though.
Will come again
