About The Temple Inn
Located in the charming hamlet of Liss Forest in Hampshire, The Temple Inn is a family-friendly pub that has been a prominent part of the village of Liss for over a century. Offering seasonal menus and daily specials, The Temple welcomes all and has both cosy indoor seating with a log fire, and outdoor seating, perfect for the warmer months.
Lovely to see a pub re-opening for a change. Knew the old Temple which was well overdue for a refresh - a huge improvement with the alterations, menu, atmosphere and gardens, well done. Will certainly come back for another visit.
My friend and I had a lovely meal and will definitely dine at The Temple Inn in the future.
This is the second time that we've eaten here and I would really recommend it. Friendly staff, great decor in the pub and fab outside seating area. There is a good choice beers available and the menu is small but with options to suit all. They also have a specials board. I had the fish & chips, which was tasty and my partner had the burger, which he said was the best he's ever eaten.
A good variety of main course dishes at reasonable prices. Something to suit everyone. My friends were very impressed. Thank goodness the Temple has returned !!!!
Our afternoon at the new temple on Sunday including lunch ,went down a storm with mother in law and we quite enjoyed it as well.thanks to all the staff for making the day. .
As a group of 4 we had a good late Sunday lunch at 4.00pm
Our first visit and we had a very nice lunch. Good food and good friendly service.
Food great, choice of different drinks very good also, just think the cocktails and beer are a bit pricey. Lovely to come for dinner and a few drinks, but with the pricing, not somewhere I would stay for hours after having drinks.
Overall really good service and food. Just would have been nice to be told about the daily specials as only saw them on the board after we had ordered on the way to the loo!! Saying that its not a criticism just a would have been nice to know, but we have visited 4 times since you opened 😀
We came for our 10 year wedding anniversary meal, there was 8 people including 4 children, staff were all friendly and helpful, food was fantastic, just need the garden part up and running for the children but other then that a great evening out.
So nice to see the pub back in action. The food was really good and the atmosphere so friendly.
Tasty meal and good service in nice surrounds.
We had a meal last Thursday at 7.00pm ...2 courses for £10.95 but this week this option was only available until 6.30pm Poor communications to the villagers !!
It was large party and when we decided to move outside, it wasn’t a problem. Great staff. The food took a while to arrive. There seemed to be some confusion between starters and mains and special menus but there were lots of us so I assume that was where the problem lay. Beautiful pub, good food, can’t ask for more than that. Looking forward to coming back.
We had a lovely time on our first visit to The Temple since the re-opening. And wow! What an achievement and such a great gem for the local community. The food was super as well as the welcoming and friendly service. Looking forward to our next visit very soon! Thanks so much Red Mist
It was good to have a specials board to complement the rather uninspiring menu . We had very good evening meeting old friends and new.backed up by jovial and attentive staff. Thank you
We had a lovely meal service and food superb waiter great and will be back again
A good meal with the 'mid week menu'
Lovely meal, steak perfect, fabulous device, we will be back.
The food was really nice, goo extensive menu and drinks menu. A good atmosphere and I love what you have done with the place looks much better would definitely come again!
Really great evening.
Really lovely local pub, staff go above and beyond to keep everyone happy and the food is amazing. We had the roasts and it was a lovely sunday treat can't wait to go back - it is on the pricey side but it's well worth it for the food and the atmosphere
lovely evening in nice new restaurant, the food was very well prepared and presented. Some tables are not in a very good position ie next to gents toilet, needs sorting out
We bought our friends for their 25th Wedding Anniversary & I did state this on my booking so I was disappointed that this wasn’t acknowledged in any way by the staff :(. our Food was delayed by about 1hr as very busy & maybe not enough staff to cope. But the staff were lovely & did give us free desserts & 1 round of drinks to compensate which was a nice gesture. The food was also very nice as we would expect with a Red Mist Leisure Pub. We will probably visit again but will wait until the teething problems are sorted out & the garden opened up more.
Excellent experience; well done! Disappointed that advertised mid-week special menu was not available. Will definitely book again.
