About The Tayberry
Inspired by Scotland's natural larder and executed using a combination of modern and classic cooking techniques, The Tayberry offers a variety of innovative and seasonal menus, changing regularly to reflect the seasonality of the produce available. We can cater for a variety of food allergies and dietary requirements on request.
The Tayberry Restaurant offers a relaxed, contemporary Scottish fine dining experience set across two levels in a beautiful coastal setting.
Disappointed that we were overcharged for champagne. Rectified when I spotted it.
A lovely afternoon tea with a good mix of savoury and sweet. Excellent service too
Fantastic meal again. Catered brilliantly for my dietary requirements and service was wonderful
Went for our anniversary and everything was perfect, food, drink and service. The young lady on our table did the Tayberry proud, she was so pleasant and efficient ,always a smile on her face.
I'd heard the Tayberry was good but did not realise how good. Adam has an amazing ability to bring out the fullest of flavours of all his ingrediants, the chef's got an amazing palette !
I went to the Tayberry with 3 of my friends yesterday and I have to say it’s the best Afternoon Tea, by far, we have ever had! It was delicious. Highly recommend and will definitely return. Thank you to Adam and his team x
Lovely evening with excellent food and wine, served by a lovely waitress. We shall be back.
Enjoyed lunch at The Tayberry with a friend and my toddler son. The staff could not have been more accommodating or more helpful. The food was delicious, served like works of art, as always. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and tidy and even when busy, the acoustics were gentle. Really enjoyed my lunch and looking forward to returning for an evening meal very soon.
3rd Visit, thought first time for dinner. Excellent selection every time and we've always had great service and awesome tastes. We'll be back! :-)
First class, service and food, best stake I have ever had, will definitely be back!
Food was very good but service needs to be more polished.
Great food. Very pleasant evening. Amazing views upstairs. Our party was all very impressed. Second time eating Adam's food, the first at The Tayberry. Will revisit.
Staff were very attentive and we had the lovely window seat. Food was very good as usual although I felt the beef was a little tough. We also had a mocktail which was refreshing and a nice alternative to a soft drink for us drivers.
Excellent, friendly professional staff, food was extremely high standard. Fine dining. Would recommend the tayberry to anyone and everyone.
The tasting menu was really nice and we had a lovely evening... Thank you
Food was beautiful, clearly a lot of love, care and attention went into the cooking and presentation- disappointing that the service failed to match. - is it too much to expect someone to ask if everything is ok with your meal? - if you ask for a coffee and advise you are deliberating on what kind of coffee to order, e.g liqueur or otherwise I’d expect either some recommendations, or a menu or at least the waitress to actually come back and take the order ( rather than chat in the corner and then be outside on her mobile planning her eve) sadly no coffee arrived - when my water was finished it might have been nicer if someone said “ would you like any more” rather than “that’s the last of your water” - having amuse bouse and bread snatched away without anyone checking it was finished with ( it wasn’t) =poor. For an 8pm reservation we felt rushed so staff could get out the door and start their Sat evening - having to shout to get the attention of the chattering waitress/manageress to bring the bill = not cool - on leaving to wait outside for cab, no one said thanks for visiting or even acknowledged our departure and when only another 3 people were dining it was dismissive and borderline rude - sadly service is amateurish and unprofessional at best, shame because it completely undermines the food and left a distinctly bad taste.
The afternoon tea was lovely. Everything was amazing apart from the carrot cake. No one liked that - it tasted uncooked and stodgy. The banana bread wasn't as bad but wasn't great. Everything else was perfect we were absolutely stuffed afterwards.
We were very pleased with service and the afternoon tea, we will be back again.
Enjoyed our lunch. Food was tasty and serving staff were very efficient and friendly. I would recommend.
I was in yesterday for afternoon tea for my mums birthday! The service was brilliant from start to finish and the girl who serviced us said happy birthday and brought us a gin cocktail which made my mums day! Every aspect of the afternoon tea from the chilli cheese scones to the raspberry macarons were delicious and we will be back very soon! Thank you :)
Friendly staff, happy to assist with anything you required! Fantastic afternoon tea!!
Had the beef it was a bit rare for us would have been nice to be asked how we liked it
Food was very good but the service was lacking the professional touch.
We have had several meals at the Tayberry and yesterday’s was exceptional from beginning to end. We much prefer the downstairs seating. Thank you so much.
