About The Tayberry
Inspired by Scotland's natural larder and executed using a combination of modern and classic cooking techniques, The Tayberry offers a variety of innovative and seasonal menus, changing regularly to reflect the seasonality of the produce available. We can cater for a variety of food allergies and dietary requirements on request.
The Tayberry Restaurant offers a relaxed, contemporary Scottish fine dining experience set across two levels in a beautiful coastal setting.
A hidden gem, will definitely get recommendations from us. Waitress was exceptionally good and pleasant.
Really nice place for lunch. Food quality was as good as I’ve had anywhere and the staff were very friendly. There was a little bit too long between courses but it did get very busy all of a sudden so no real problem. I’d highly recommend for a business meeting, couples, friends or (older) family. Not sure that it’s overly child friendly as the menu was a bit fancy!
The Tayberry is easily the best restaurant in the region and Adam is the best chef. I had a birthday dinner there for 12 and everything was perfect. They will go the extra mile to make sure you're happy. This is a chef and a restaurant that has upped the ante by a huge degree and every visit there is an absolute joy.
Very enjoyable evening. Food was delicious as always. Staff are lovely, very attentive and friendly
The pigs cheek with onion risotto was divine. The new menu is super. Service was friendly and efficient. Probably the best lunch we have enjoyed at the Tay Berry.
Chair was on uneven floor and moved from side to side also tap water was not chilled and not pleasant to drink . Food was excellent.
Lovely setting, great service and fabulous food. Will be back in the future and would definitely recommend to others.
Had a lovely afternoon tea, enjoyed by the whole group. We will all hopefully come again.
Phenomenal. Really excellent. And good value. Highly recommended.
Everything was very good, and consistently so. I have been before, and I'm sure at some point will go again. Maybe my beef rib needed a little more gravy, and not quite as much shallot jam, but I'd struggle to think of anything less important. Just very glad I don't have to use a food bank.
Really enjoyed our visit. Our only disappointment was with water. We were only offered flat or fizzy water - we wanted flat & were served bottled water at room temp that we paid for. Would have preferred chilled water from the tap.
Hi Loved "cherry picking" our own menu.....usual high standards maintained....Thanks! Ross
Have been for dinner & lunch to Tayberry many times & always great. Tried Afternoon Tea for my Mum's birthday & we all really enjoyed it & took some home as there was just too much! Criticism if any, we would all have preferred a little more savoury than sweet. Otherwise really unusual selection instead of sandwiches for the savoury part & lovely Mocktails too for those of us driving on such a hot day. Good value definitely, the haggis bon bon, venison sausage roll & warm croissant were fab, more of that kind of thing please!
The food and wine are really good. Delicate and subtle. The ground floor is a bit cozy, but luminous and well decorated. The only downside would be the service which is not bad, but could be better, more in line with the standing The Tayberry attends to: smile to the customer when they came in. The smiles came after when at the table though, maybe some bad news happened, I don't know, but being welcomed with a cold face does not give a good first impression. When serving wine, do not touch the glass… I might be quibbling but these details can make a huge difference. Or maybe it's because I'm French and in this kind of food standing I'm used to a high service standing as well. Conclusion: a great restaurant, worth the try and I'll be back, but also some room for improvements :)
This is the second time my wife and I have eaten at The Tayberry and as excellent as our initial visit was, this visit surpassed even that occasion. From the attentive yet inobtrusive service, to the unexpected and delicious complimentary bread and amuse bouche, it really was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. The whole Tayberry team should be lauded for their collective efforts and we both can’t wait to come back to have our tastebuds entertained once again! Thank you.
We enjoyed a superlative steak dinner at the Tayberry using an itison voucher which added to the fantastic value for money. The whole experience exceeded or expectations. However, it would have been preferable to rate food and drink separately because we enjoyed the food even more than the wine and it is for the food that we would be repeat customers.
Amazing food and delightful staff, we will definitely be back!
We went for afternoon tea and had a great time, the food was delicious. The ladies that were serving us were wonderful too. We will definitely be back!
It was absolutely fantastic! We need to go back for afternoon tea.
As ever the food and service was excellent at Tayberry. Had bread with tomato hummus. Cullen skink, prawn risotto and steak done to perfection. Thanks to Adam and his staff for a Fantastic evening.
Great service food presentation and venue
Beautiful afternoon tea, full of flavour and taste sensations. Impressive attention to detail, it must take many hours to create these mini masterpieces but it’s not pretentious or stuffy at all, just lovely tasting fresh and surprising food.
Disappointed with the service as we were not made aware of what drinks were available with our voucher. We had to go and ask for tea and coffee with afternoon tea. Food did not seem fresh. The cakes were stale and not very appetising, both my wife and I were not feeling well after the food which made the experience not one to repeat. The location and views from the restaurant are good, but the décor is needing some attention. Considering the service and food were not up to previous experiences at the Tayberry I would not consider our experience to be value for money.
Have visited your establishment several times and cannot fault you in any way. As usual, food excellent as was the service. Also, your premises are spotless which is as important to me as food and service. Accordingly have left a very positive review on TripAdvisor
Delicious food, served by friendly and welcoming staff. A real treat and would highly recommend.
