About The Tame Hare
Independently owned, Family run Restaurant in the centre of Leamington Spa.
Serving Local, Homegrown & Seasonal food. Freshly made on the premesis.
Constant changing menus and quirky flavour combinations along with a small but diverse wine list.
Excellent as usual
Superb! Me and my two friends have been meeting up in Leamington Spa for the last ten years and wonder how we haven't come across this gem before. Fabulously tasty food in imaginative combinations, served by extremely welcoming hosts with a sense of humour - what's not to love?!
Lovely dinner for a special occasion. Staff were welcoming and the food was amazing. Would highly recommend.
Menu was a bit limited, that said, food was excellent. Unfortunately we were the only diners in the restaurant. Pity!
Great food, fantastic service.
It was a little quiet on Sat lunch but I don't know why - food is great and service attentive. I had soup, bream and the most delightful panacotta. Excellent vfm - 3 course lunch and a glass of wine and coffee each for £25 per head! There is a posh tasting menu to try too.... I'll definitely be returning. Tempted to keep it to myself but they deserve to do very well.
Superb flavours. Portions just right. With friendly service. Highly recommended.
Friendly staff and excellent food. Would love to return for dinner soon.
We really had a great time, very good food and very nice people who took really good care of us.
We are vegetable lovers and would have liked the option of some vegetable side dishes with the main course.
Fabulous food and very friendly service.
the stonebass main was DELICIOUS
Superb evening, two highly competent chefs producing wonderful food. The atmosphere was relaxed all evening, not at all stuffy. Perhaps my only criticism would be the crockery used, it was a little haphazard and didnt shout "fine dining". Otherwise all good!
Absolutely banging, still waiting for Jonny to propose. Near perfect as per usual
In a town full of chains, a lovely friendly independent restaurant serving great food of a very high standard. @£45.00 per head the 5 course tasting menu is a must do - KEEP IT LOCAL!
A thoroughly enjoyable evening, delicious and well presented food, attentive staff without being over the top. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with excellent food. Will definately be returning.
Great restaurant and amazing food
Lovely food and service
We couldn’t fault the service and loved the food . Will definitely visit again.. Have recommended to friends..
Have eaten here several times now. The food never disappoints. First time we've had the "surprise tasting" menu - and everything, even those some of us would perhaps not have chosen had we been picking a smaller number of dishes, was superb.
The food was interesting and tasty. The portions were small, but this meant you could try a variety of dishes. The restaurant was almost empty which meant that the atmosphere wasn’t great.
Loved the Taster Menu on Friday evening. Everything tasted so fresh and smelt great when it came out. Brilliant staff who can't do enough for you - we had a great night thank you.
Superb food, nice people & good service
This place is great, it can get quite busy; but me and my partner tend to turn up quite late on a Sunday to be sure of a nice quiet table. It has actually become somewhat of a staple for our Roast Beef & Yorkshire Puds. Some nice takes on deserts and a nice wine list also; much of which you can pick up at the wine shop next door (where they also have a tasting machine with half a dozen bottles uncorked most days). Staff are a really good bunch and the food is consistently excellent.
This was our first experience at the Tame Hare. The quality of the food and preparation was good, although the pork was pretty tough and uninspiring. The venue is nice, although the lack of customers made the atmosphere quite flat, hopefully that comes with time. We will come back, but not necessarily hurry back. Host was very good.
