About The Tame Hare
Independently owned, Family run Restaurant in the centre of Leamington Spa.
Serving Local, Homegrown & Seasonal food. Freshly made on the premesis.
Constant changing menus and quirky flavour combinations along with a small but diverse wine list.
We are looking forward to rebooking when we are next back in Leamington. Thank you to the talented chef and fun staff for a memorable evening - loved it. ❤️
Friendly waitresses and lovely desserts. Was really busy for mother’s day so we weren’t able to be seated early so had to go to the pub across the road for a pre-drink which was a shame
Had to wait 40minutes for starter. Unacceptable. Food was good quality though. A wee bit unorganised.
Consistently great quality food and flavours. The team here do outstanding work. Great evening.
The service was shocking. The food was tasty but not a lot of choice and the portions are tiny! It’s pricey and you expect good service to go with such a ‘fine dining’ type menu
A fabulous lunch and excellent service.
Absolutely delicious food, will defi Italy be back!
Good, but not excellent. Sunday lunch felt like a bit of a 'feast with limitations'. No bread available ('because it's Sunday and we don't bake on a Sunday') and finding that 'we don't serve ice cream' seemed a bit daft if you are wanting to take children out for Sunday lunch - ice cream is pretty universally liked by kids. The offer of honeycomb as a replacement was welcome 'tho. Roast beef was good, but was only just warm. Sea bream very tasty indeed. It seemed to operate with minimal staff on a Sunday and it was by no means full - service would be a problem if it the restaurant is full with those staffing levels.
Our first visit to The Tame Hare for the Tailors collaboration and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Loved the idea of one long table which encouraged conversation with those seated around you. The food was excellent and super tasty with nice plays on delivery. Will definitely be coming back to taste the normal menu.
The standard of food is very good, although the coq-au-vin was a little dry and would have benefitted from more jus. The service was mediocre unfortunately, as both the drinks order and desserts brought to the table were initially incorrect. No-one asked us how are food was until we were paying the bill. And the restaurant was on the cold side; a lady at a nearby table, having taken off her jacket when she sat down, put it back on again after half an hour. I didn't take my jacket off at all.
Really excellent menu and great desserts, which isnot always the case in even Michelin restaurants. This place should be harder to book!
We loved our evening at the Tame Hare. The team were delightful, helpful and good fun. The food was fabulous, inventive and surprising. The wine list was small but the wine delicious. I would heartily recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back.
Our first time here. Had three course meal and had a great experience. Food was great and staff were very friendly. Only downside was the portions were very small for what it costs. And staff were wearing casual clothes which for fine dining restaurant isn’t a good look. Would be better if they had same or similar smart looking outfits. We will be rerurning for sure as really want to try the 8 course taster menu. All in all we’ve had a great night 😊
Lovely food, friendly staff.
Really enjoyed our meal at Tame Hare last Sat night. Had the A La Carte menu this time as we've previously had the tasting menu. As before the food is excellent, although I thought my main (beef) was a little on the small side. But this is a very small point, overall great food and atmosphere.
Great food but let down by an unprofessional front of house.
Food outstanding, staff friendly and welcoming, only room for improvement is to perhaps offer to go through the taster menu with customers, although you were busy on the night so this may have not been possible! We paid for 3 courses on a full price evening. Good value for the quality of food. Genuinely one of the best meals of my life, well done all and thank-you.
Great food, relaxed and friendly service
Wonderful inventive food with friendly service.
Excellent food. Exciting menu, service was great. Atmosphere was quiet but it was a snow day we went on so imagine its busier at the weekend.
Amazing experience as always! Incredible food and such good value for money.
We had a lovely time and will definitely be back!
Lovely meal but perhaps one much choice for each of the courses would be nice. Food prices quite good value for the quality but drinks prices a little expensive. Quite quiet when we went on a Saturday lunchtime but it was mid January. Staff vey friendly and helpful.
