About The Swan Inn
At the Swan we seek out the very best suppliers who we love to work with. Often we’ve worked with them for years but some are new but the rule is that we try to find the best. Our menus change with the seasons and we offer daily specials.
Fabulous meal, loved the sparkling water, different menu options and quality. Loved the open fire too!
A very enjoyable meal sat next to the fire opposite a stunning woman
After a bad start - had booked a ‘really good table to celebrate anniversary’ - got seated in draughty corridor - moved to a much better table. The meal was fantastic - waiter was lovely and worked really hard. Thank you!
Lovely food and good service. On the expensive side, particularly starters
First visit, very welcoming, staff very helpful but not intrusive. Our waitress, Tia, couldn’t have done any more. Great decor, Covid friendly will definitely be back once lockdown is over!!
Beautiful pub/restaurant, clean, Covid safe, friendly chatty staff, absolutely delicious good, fantastic meal.
Our second visit - great food and a lovely ambiance. Strict Covid rules in place. We enjoyed it so much, we booked for lunch next Sunday - which sadly due to the lockdown we’ll have to cancel. We’ll be back soon hopefully.
Excellent meal with lovely, professional service. Will definitely return, when the times allow.
Amazing food! Such a treat. We will be back again soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at The Swan. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. The space is beautiful and there was a nice range of choice on the menu. We gave advanced notice that there were vegetarians in our group and they were well accommodated — except that one starter we ordered to share (tarte flambée au muenster) included meat — it would have been great to have a head’s up as meat wasn’t listed as an ingredient on the menu. Otherwise, totally fantastic!
Amazing dining experience! Would definitely come back! Food was just delicious for the whole family and service was spot on. Beautiful environment with the fire burning! Thank you so much!
Lovely atmosphere, welcoming and knowledgable service and fantastic food! We'll be back :)
I have a mixed review, but ultimately I would not go back. Firstly the address states C.Norton but that is misleading as its about 4 miles away and very isolated in a little enclave, so you cannot walk or explore anything close by or in CN unless you drive. The room was pretty nice but was let down by minor issues which should be maintained, peeling wall paper by the bath, bedside light hanging off and windows rotting that need replacing. But I must say the largest bath I have ever seen, that was very nice. Also when booking it states B+B but does not say breakfast is only continental!! When looking at the menu's on the website it shows a nice selection of breakfast but none of these are included and you must pay to have a warm breakfast variety. The c/breakfast was pretty standard but again the menu is misleading as things are missed out, even toast was excluded. The food in general was very nice but the misleading menu I found very annoying. We stayed on a Sunday and I was going to have a roast as advertised only to be told its only on a lunchtime (please add that clarity). So I then ordred the beef and horseradish pie and mash expecting a puff pastry pie , mash etc to recieve a pretty expensive shephards pie. When questioned I was told the Chicken pie was as hoped with pasty etc, but again zero clarity and misleading from what you expect, so please ask questions. I think some things were lost in translation with the French bar manager. Alcohol is priced at the top end £22 for 2 glasses of wine but maybe thats the Cotswolds?. Overall a few refinements, greater clarity and this could have been a better experience.
Amazing food. Bread and starters the highlight
Lovely service, excellent precautions for covid. Would come in all the time if I were local. Thank you!
We had an amazing Sunday lunch loved everything about it and the waitress that looked after us was simply superb ( with all guests not just us ) . I thought that 36.00 for a bottle of soave was a little steep but it didn’t deter from our enjoyment. It was our 4th visit within the last few months and will definitely come back.
The waitress was very good, knowledgeable, friendly, professional. Some of the starters seemed overpriced in comparaison to others.
Loved our stay here. Absolute gem of a place. Staff were superb, food was superb and the bed was very very comfy! Can’t wait to come back
We love The Swan, one of our favourite pubs in the Cotswolds.
Fantastic weekend away at the Swan Inn - the food is delicious, the bar and restaurant have a great atmosphere (even now!) Bedrooms are lovely and cosy. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I would recommend!
We had a lovely time - the pub is cosy and welcoming and the food and drink was delicious. The only downside (and a small one) was that service was a bit slow - it felt like there weren’t enough staff, but aware it’s a tricky time so judging staffing levels must be hard.
Great food and service but quite expensive
Fantastic music played throughout the restaurant and bar. Great atmosphere, tasty hearty food and excellent staff. Advice on food was appreciated and thank you for my cake to complete my birthday dinner
Wonderful place! If you’re looking for a place to relax and be looked after, this place ideal: The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating; the food is delicious and beautifully presented; amazing selection of wine & the family room is lovely and comfortable! And super dog friendly. I will certainly be back.
