About The Swan Inn
You’ll find us in the heart of the original Milton Keynes Village, the perfect backdrop to savour our delicious menu. Everything is freshly made in our open kitchen and changes in line with the seasons, using the best local produce we can get our hands on, served in the comforting surroundings of our restaurant. Something to note… If you think your veggies are top of the crops then bring them along…we accept them as currency!
First outing in 23 weeks and we had a lovely meal, beautifully cooked and of course well looked after as always. Thank you guys 😀
Recently moved in the area and wanted to venture out to celebrate my son's birthday which was during lockdown. The staff and chef's were amazing! Great service from both staff waiters and chef's to help me put together a main meal that I would enjoy as vegetarian. Thank you for a wonderful evening, food was lovely and area clean and sanitised well.
Love this gastro pub, still feels friendly even with Covid regulations!
A good experience after lock down. Maintained the excellent service previously enjoyed. Thank you to the friendly staff.
Great atmosphere in a safe environment. Excellent food and great service.
Very good food. Very good service from friendly staff.
Lovely meal with lovely staff
I have always found the staff and the food spot on and I will recommend and Ii do .
we had sunday lunch with a friend of ours yesterday. It took one hour to arrive. The excellent Polish lady looking after us realised at almost exactly the same time as we did that something was wrong. According to her the kitchen lost the order check. Over the years we have had a few similar things happen--you need more consistency.
The roast dinners we had were excellent. Great portion, crispy yorkshires, moist meat, delicious potatoes, tasty greens and a lovely carrot puree. It would have been nice to have thr option for a few extra roast potatoes and a little bit more gravy. The cauliflower cheese was lovely as were the stuffing balls. Again as a side a two more stuffing balls would have been nice as we were sharing. The brownie desert was fine, not the best ive had and the sauce was only a sprinkle on the plate. The ice creams seemed more icey than creamy even the sorbets and the cheese plate seemed a little mean on the cheese. The service at reception was great but fell away after that.
The duo of beef and pork was not value for. money. Two slices of beef on a toast was £16.50 but the duo, one slice of pork and one slice of beef was £19.50. Odd choice of veg for a Sunday lunch. Cauliflower cheese would have been better as part of the meal and not an added extra for £3.50. Again duo of cheese, not good for the money - two very small pieces of cheese and about 9 crackers. Service was quick and friendly but we are unlikely to return based on the food and value for money.
Good food, excellent service, value for money - can’t fault it!!!
Had a really lovely evening sitting on the terrace at the Swan MK village. The service, food and drink were all excellent. Everything was well spaced out and it felt very safe as well as beautifully laid out. Thank you.
Never been let down by food at the Swan
Our first office outing yesterday since lockdown lifted, in your lovely pub, the weather was great and you looked after us really well - Thank you we will come again!
We regularly go to the Swan for a meal or just a drink. It is wonderful to have it opened again. We felt very safe with the way they have reorganised for COVID 19. The food was amazing. I had the Hake which was really good. We look forward to many more visits.
Didn't have the drinks that we ordered and then I was still charged for a mixer that they didn't have and we didn't receive.
Menu was a little too fishy for me.
Always a pleasure to visit The Swan Inn. Very good food and excellent service. During these difficult times I thought the staff were exceptional.
Wonderful food and friendly staff x
Really good meal thank you
First time I been here with my family. The food was really very nice, but the service is shocking! Nobody was wearing ppe, zero social distancing, non of the chefs has hat or hair net. It was a eat out to help out campaign, but they have to get reminded the drinks included too (except alcohol), and they still managed to make a mistake charging my daughter dispenser coke for £2.40. Left with a little anger, without tipping and the thought of we won't come back...
First meal out after COVID lockdown. Very well organised and a pleasant evening
The garden was nice and service wsa good. Although a Sunday we did not have a roast but fish and chips which we enjoyed. Good portions and not greasy.
