About The Swan Inn
You’ll find us in the heart of the original Milton Keynes Village, the perfect backdrop to savour our delicious menu. Everything is freshly made in our open kitchen and changes in line with the seasons, using the best local produce we can get our hands on, served in the comforting surroundings of our restaurant. Something to note… If you think your veggies are top of the crops then bring them along…we accept them as currency!
Hi Been many times, service was extra slow. I had the duck leg and my husband had the hake which were both tasty, but certainly over priced.
Thanks so much for having us for Sunday lunch yesterday, our first visit to your lovely pub. Friendly staff and tasty food. It was great to see a vegan main course (delicious, but could’ve done with a rice accompaniment) on the menu, although a couple of options for starters, sides, a pudding, etc. would be great. Also, a non-dairy milk for coffees would be appreciated. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Swan to friends. PS The garden is lovely and relaxing
Lunch was lovely. Unfortunately my husband became unwell, not food or drink related, and the staff really came up trumps and were very caring, professional and organised medical help quickly. He is better and undergoing further investigation.A very big thank you to your team.
We regularly dine here as it is one of our favourite places. Last night however was not the best experience. We had to wait a longtime for food, as a non fish eater the menu choice was limited and the bill was incorrect so we had to question it. It was our wedding anniversary but sorry to say we did not enjoy the experience.
Fish Friday and sardine starter was very tasty, just shame the bread had become soggy. Main meals were excellent, very well cooked but it takes some man/woman to eat all that beef. We took over half home for the carnivorous daughter. Overall excellent evrning
Very friendly service and absolutely superb food.
Catch up with girly friends. We all said how lovely the food and service was. Will definitely return and recommend
Excellent from start to finish. Great staff with great attitudes.
We had a large party of 11 and the service was excellent. Food was great and the staff looking after our table were spot on. Many thanks!
In my opinion, the very best pub/restaurant in Milton Keynes. An excellent lunch with friends. Most enjoyable. Thank you
Had a very enjoyable anniversary meal. Food was excellent and Service was very friendly
Delicious lamb cutlets - perfectly cooked. I look forward to seeing the Christmas menu with a view to booking.
Very loud Waited 1hour 15mins for food - nothing special about food Rather pricey versus local competition Had to complain about the small size of "large" Caesar salad which also arrived without bacon
We had a meal with friends at the swan a couple of months ago and the speed of service was shocking however came back last night to give it another go but again same issue and this time the food wasn’t great either but we waited so Long we ate it rather than said anything the only bright spot was our waitress who had to keep apologising
We had a wonderful night dining at your pub with our three sons and their girlfriends. Service was fantastic and food was delicious. Our son recommended you and we are so pleased he did. Will definitely be back.
Celebrated my birthday at the Swan with my family and had a superb evening . The food and the staff was great,we will definitely be going back soon with some friend's for yet another great night. Thanks for the wine.
4 stars for VFM so you don't get complacent. Simply the best food for miles around, great service and friendly helpful staff. Ace gin too.
Everything was great and we had a lovely Sunday lunch which extended into a relaxed fun afternoon. A Roast is made by the quality of the roast potatoes and these need to be sorted. A small point when the rest was so good
We had a lovely evening in a lovely venue !
took 3 attempts to get the bill right
We had a really lovely evening and thoroughly enjoyed all the food. Thank you! We particularly enjoyed the picnic box starter.
We were a group of 12 people who had the set menu. The squid was under cooked and 'gloopy', the risotto was uneventful, not a lot of flavour, The mussels mains had 10 mussels on the plate, Really? my eton mess had very stale meringue and the fruit in the cream was 'fizzy' clearly past their sale by date. A colleague's choc dessert had a runny watersauce which we assumed was ice cream at some stage. We had pre ordered but after waiting 20 minutes we had to ask for our starters. The burgers and steaks were good and the houllumi chips were a treasure but all in all a very average experience, sorry. Would I book again...def not for a set menu...
If I'm.totally honest, I was a bit disappointed. Service was great but I did feel she rushed us to take the boards away. It took 23 mins for the food to arrive, when it did it was luke warm, chips were burnt, burger bun black. My dad wanted a plain salad (ie lettuce, tomato etc) and we explained that and was told no problem and we were given I believe a Greek salad full of bits he didn't like, so that wasn't touched. Very poor quality for nearly £60.
I, together with 17 guests, celebrated my 70th birthday at The Swan Inn on Friday 6th July. We all had a wonderful evening. The food was superb, the service first class and the atmosphere was terrific. Adam and his 'team', both kitchen and front of house, are to be complemented for their contribution towards making this an evening to remember. Thank you Kay Munro
Our main arrived as I took the last bite of the starter! No time to relax. Then our wine order took over 15 minutes to arrive - at this point we chased it. The waitress apologiesed and promised they would be taken off the bill. When we got the bill the wine was on there. We complained and they were taken off without much fuss but it was a shame we had to chase things so much. Otherwise the food was good and some of the staff were lovely.
