I went there for b’fast and dinner and sat in two different tables, both I found the table top very sticky. Need to have a through cleaning...
Awful experience. First of all I called to amend my brasserie booking from 9.30 until 10.. on arrival I was told brasserie would be closed. After driving 1hr 30mins from Langley it is not acceptable that I was not told this on the phone. Then we had brunch in bar instead. The first order came out wrong and was sent back. After receiving the second order and trying to pay I was told I could not pay by card. Then I tried to pay with cash but no change was available so had to wait for this to be for from another area of the hotel. The last serving was completely incompetent and arguing with her colleague constantly. Very disappointed especially after such a long journey. Will be looking to put my thoughts on trip advisor.
Really enjoyable and many thanks to the staff in helping us celebrate our 40th Anniversary
Food was excellent, service and timing perfect. Christian the restaurant Manager is so professional yet fun at the same time. He along with the lovely Romanian lady (sorry I didn't get her name) enhanced our dining experience.
The Brasserie is a pleasant, relaxed dining room. The decor appeared quite fresh. The lighting was rather too dim for my / my wifes liking (this is, however, true of most of the hotel unfortunately.) The decor does not lend itself to attempts to create a 'romantic' ambience (if that's what they were trying to do. ) The service was attentive yet discreet, the food was well presented and very tasty, although each course cosisted of rather small portions and were somewhat over priced...
Thank you for making our Valentines evening so very special. Meal was absolutely delicious and staff very attentive. The red rose given at the end of the meal was a very romantic thought thank you.
The tea was brought seven minutes before the food, the chocolate had no marshmallows and we had to go and pay. Nobody brought us the bill after the service. A real pity
Everything was amazing , we were made to feel very welcome . Lovely staff, beautiful room, beautiful red roses. Food was amazing , and all in a beautiful tranquil setting.
Lovely food and excellent service.
We brought our dogs with us and all the staff were so friendly and made them and us feel so welcome. We would definitely like to return
We were very impressed with everything from the decor and welcoming atmosphere, good service and delicious food. The best Sunday roast I've had in a long time! Thank you!
Excellent stay at the Swan and the staff was absolutely amazing in order to accommodate our needs!
Very nice food, particularly the Bibury trout - portions, particularly vegetables included, were on the small side. Home made bread and water from the hotel's spring were nice touches. The fairy-lit restaurant provided a lovely atmosphere. The head waiter/maitre-d' was warm and welcoming and a great personality - his individual attention made the evening special.
This property is such a gem! Can't say enough hpw much we liked staying there and also about the surroundings. I 3 of my girlfrinds came here just to spend the weekend and we absolutely loved it here. We had our dinner in the restaurent as well. It is a pretty restaurent with very good food, also the breakfast was very nice. The location is perfect as it is not too far from London. The service was really good as well, rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Next time I am planning to come with my husband :) Thanks to the Swan hotel team xx
Went for a family lunchtime meal on Saturday and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant itself was empty so being served and sat down was very quick! The food was quite average and over-priced, my falafel burger was dry but the chips were pleasant... Unfortunately, no staff came to ask us how our meal was, so providing feedback to them was difficult... After our meal, a waitress offered us the dessert menu and unfortunately dropped a full glass of red wine all over my top/trousers/boots and handbag. She was incredibly apologetic but it was clear she spoke to her colleague about the situation as we were then served by a different waiter for the duration of the meal. I know it was an accident, but i spent the rest of the afternoon soaking wet and stinking of alcohol.. the least i would've expected was a discount off the bill considering the bottle of wine was in excess of £40 and a big glass of wine was emptied over my outfit. The male staff member acted like he knew nothing about it and i had to ask for a discount, which in my eyes wasn't enough, it should've automatically been offered. This has left a rather sour taste in my mouth so I will no longer be visiting or recommending this establishment to my colleagues/family or friends. I am now out of pocket after having to purchase suede cleaner to attempt to remove the red wine from my boots and handbag.
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to The Swan , have thought that maybe it could be a secret getaway for me & my terrier Evie , we found it all very relaxing , service impeccable, this is our 3rd time staying with you over a couple of years , you’re our favourite hotel . Tracey
super staff, lovely bedroom(Heron). Very impressed. Good breakfast, and room service. Sadly disturbed in the early hours by fellow guests talking loudly and banging doors so sleep poor.
Menu choice limited and disappointing.. Food quality good.
Lovely Sunday lunch.
Excellent food and good atmosphere in the beautiful setting of Bibury. Maître d and the whole staff were incredibly helpful in accomodating allergies proving advice choice across the menu. My girlfriend and I had an great dinner on Saturday night. I will happily return here whenever I come back to the Cotswolds.
Comfortable room felt a little dated, but was most acceptable! The food is quite good and the wine list OK, if unadventurous. Service was personal, and attentive!
Your hotel and staff ate fantastic especially your events organiser the nice lady sorry I forgot your name its an age thing. who turned what could have been a negative into a positive. we will be back
Service was incredible - struck a fine balance of attentive and present without being overbearing or intrusive. We both enjoyed our food but we particularly enjoyed the mushroom soup. The gentleman who took our order was very knowledgable on what was veggie and what was not.
We had a wonderful stay at The Swan. Staff were all very friendly and gave a lovely warm and welcoming feel to the hotel. Dinner in The Brasserie was very good. We look forward to staying with you again.
