Lovely food even though only cover booked didn’t feel like it
I did send a separate email thanking you for a lovely lunch. I took a friend who will be 90 in a week's time. You thoughtfully brought a birthday pudding for her, which was not asked for. I hope you manage to weather the current coronavirus crisis.
We had a great meal at the Swan and was very impressed by the service and food quality. The only reason why I haven’t given 5 stars for atmosphere was because the restaurant was extremely quiet - sadly as a result of the Coronavirus
It was extremely good, particularly the food and the service. All my guests were delighted with the meal. Thank you Kate. Please send my your Bill Tony
As always we enjoyed a brilliant meal. Love the use of seasonal products. Love the warm welcome we always receive. Great cooking from the chef.
Beautiful food and great wine in a relaxed setting. The food was all delicious, especially the Romney Marsh lamb and Sticky Toffee pudding! We’ll definitely be back.
Lovely lunch for 12 after a chaotic but very enjoyable walk through a very muddy Weald.
Always exceptional food and service.
The actual dining experience was great as always, but what I really dislike is all this “I’ll be mother” and dining experience “in our home” I also had problems registering my “I’ll be mother” card. I also think if you’re asking guests to write reviews, you should give them something........eg a small voucher off their next experience. It would encourage more return visits and probably give you more feedback. So all in all...........The Swan was great, I’ll be Kother was less so.
Another wonderful evening dinner, even on a very busy Saturday evening, the service, as always, was impeccable with the Maitre D welcoming us back as she had remembered us from a previous visit. The food again was amazing and our friends were truly delighted. Thank you again, we shall be back!
Excellent food and service as usual.
Food and service was outstanding. Really couldn't fault anything!
Delicious food and excellent friendly service!
Really liked the meal, it was well cooked, well presented and well seasoned. It did need the addition of sides to balance the meal- had these been served foc then I would have thought the value for money was good too.
Really nice lunch at the swan, food quality was exceptional (especially for the price). Service was a bit odd - for example we asked if we could do tasting downstairs first so we could choose our wine for lunch and were told we needed to sit straight down and would have to taste after. Also had to continually ask for water to be topped up, had to fill our own wine glasses etc. just small things the team could have done better. Also it comes across as a weird relationship with chapel down being a seperate business. From a visitors perspective I think you could do more to better integrate with the tasting and shop downstairs and allow people to move between the venues for example. Also when we asked downstairs what wines they had in the restaurant we were told they had no idea as it’s a seperate business. Seemed odd to me that you guys wouldn’t work more together to give visitors a more seamless experience
Perfect service, great food, can't wait to go back
Great setting and ambience. Excellent staff, very good food. Will come again...
A family celebration dinner last night at The Swan proved to be one of the very best family shared dining experiences: everything was so beautifully managed - the Maitre D was absolutely wonderful - totally professional but delightful, the staff were attentive and timed service perfectly, and last but of course definitely not least - the food was brilliant and delicious although - as ever I could have appreciated more vegetables, but then I should have been too full. The only reason for not giving the "value for money" section full stars is because I could not read the bill! Anyway, thank you to The Swan for a simply wonderful evening Pat
A lovely meal with great service. A small wine list but good, although quite expensive. This is a good restaurant for a special occasion or just for a treat.
Great service and Great food
Excellent lunch brought sunshine feeling on a dreary day. Attentive service particularly for my partner who struggles with food laden with fructans and chef came to our table to discuss options Food well cooked and well presented accompanied by Chapel Down rose wine - we shall be back again when the sun is out
Super food and attentive service, thank you
A first visit with no so expectations. Found whole experience incredibly enjoyable. Food starters good, mains and pud excellent. Double up on the bread and reduce the butter. Sides also excellent. Positive feed back get some extra wine lists.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience at The Swan on Thursday 27th February 2020. We had taken our 93 year old neighbour who is a Vegetarian and he said that it was his best day of the year. Thank you very much.
