We had a lovely day at chapel down again. We do a tour, tasing and lunch/dinner every year and it never disappoints. The manager of the restaurant was absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome. A great day!
Had such a lovely anniversary meal at the Swan. Food was gorgeous, service was perfect and price was surprisingly reasonable. Looking forward to visiting again.
Food was good as usual but we had a booking for Sunday lunch at 2:30 and there was no roast beef left. Disappointed as this is your signature dish on a Sunday.
A little slow in coming to take our order at the start, but after that, good service and nice food. The beetroot starter was fabulous, as was the homemade bread!
Amazing food and highly recommend the kits coty Chardonnay. Stunning wine.
From the moment we arrived we had a wonderful time. Friendly staff who proved nothing was too much trouble. Fabulous wines and the food wow! Will definitely be coming back in the summer - Thankyou for a lovely day
Welcoming staff, relaxed atmosphere and great food. perfect experience.
Second time - this time with friends. We all loved it
Food was good but portions a little small
A delightful Valentine's day lunch, super staff and delicious dishes, well done Team Swan.
A really great meal. Small but varied fixed price menu with superb quality of ingredients. House Chardonnay was excellent and would stand a test against any French wines. Restaurant is in a beautiful setting with great views over the surrounding countryside. A very enjoyable visit
Staff were very attentive giving us a window seat at the last minute. Superb menu which we enjoyed with your fantastic sparkling rose. A lovely lunch for my partners birthday. Have been several times now and never disappoints. Thank you
Really enjoyed our visit as we do every time. Food & drink wonderful. Only complaint is that the wine is expensive the markup from the shop I feel is excessive.
Service has gone down over the past few years, no head of service visible greeting and making sure guests are happy with meal/drinks. Very rushed by waiting staff at times also. Just not what it used to be :( Portions are getting smaller and smaller!
Food great value for money, excellant service, wine great but a little overpriced, which sends the overall cost quit highl. I’m very locally and would love to be able to visit regularly but due to prices it’s a place i would go and highly recommend for special occasion.
Having wanted to visit the Swan for many years having finally made it it came up to all expectations!! A really lovely experience restaurant wise as well as beautiful surroundings. Can't wait to come again in the summer.
Good lively atmosphere, to be honest had better food here in the past. Wine lovely as always.
Wonderful food & service
Food was nice but not amazing, it should come with vegetables and potatoes (not have to order sides ). Sunday lunch far tastier and much better value
Great food and of course wine. oddly no price other than the supplements on the food menu so didn't know what we were paying until the dessert menu arrived. will return for a vineyard tour in better weather
To round off the meal it would be good to have something like petit fours or similar pwith ones coffee .
Myself and two friends had a fantastic lunch here on a wet, miserable Monday. We arrived to be greeted by a roaring fire in the log burner and enjoyed a drink and took in the quirky and cool surroundings which are well laid out and interesting. We found the food to be excellent. The menu was balanced and although not an extensive menu offered something for everyone. Every single dish was delicious and beautifully presented. We thought the lunchtime menu good value for money for the three courses. The service was relaxed and friendly with all our needs attended to quickly and efficiently when asked. Definitely somewhere to go that it is a bit special, to us this was somewhere you go to sample great food and also very good wine. Don't miss a visit to the wine shop downstairs and sample some of the many excellent wines on offer. We had a thoroughly enjoyable visit and will definitely recommend and return.
We went to The Swan for Sunday lunch and it was amazing. The restaurant is gorgeous, and the people who looked after us were very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are very reasonable as well, we will definitely be back.
A great venue for Sunday lunch with excellent food and showcasing some first class English wines.
