Food was good. Service was hit and miss.
Lovely busy atmosphere, food was very tasty but portion size incredibly inconsistent to the point of laughable!!! Two people in our party of five had the pea veloute for starter - one person had a tiny bowl, the other had a bowl twice the size.... surely that could be managed better?!! Also whilst we all enjoyed our roasts there was considerable variation in the size of the servings!!!
One of the best meals we've all had in ages. Would be good to do an actual children's menu although they did offer to do sausage and chips.
Excellent service a food quality - an ideal environment to sample the Vhapel Down wines before a visit to the shop downstairs. Great staff
Lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting. Staff were attentive and food very enjoyable. Would definitely visit again when we are next in the area
Very enjoyable lunch. Looking forward to returning.
Fabulous Experience. Lovely food - can't wait to return!
Very nice location, great quality food and presentation, good wine and very professional service. What else? Highly recommended!
Cracking place & even more perfect on a summer's day. Service was very slow due to a large group booking being in the private room, however the staff were excellent and offered us a free drink and a 10% discount off the bill to apologise - you can't ask for more than that! Food was superb and the wine was, as you'd expect, wonderful
Wonderful Chapel Down Gin and Tonic to kick us off- lovely meal - the halibut was fantastic! ... and the wines weren’t bad either! 😄
Had lovely dinner at Swan following a wine tour of the vineyard. We were a group of 10 and everyone commented on how nice their food was and what a great time they had had.
Second time we had been and really enjoyed it again. Food was great and the service really good too. My only gripe would be that I really don't see why you charge £20+ for one of your wines that you have selling for £11.99 in the shop. I feel that is an unnecessary rip-off.
Delicious food and friendly staff. Great place to eat after a tour and wine tasting.
The service was impeccable, friendly and they were happy to help as we had a limited amount of time to eat.
What more can we say except wonderful day with good food.
We have dined with you on several occasions, and the food was excellent, in fact the smoked duck was the best started we’ve had at your restaurant over the past four years of visiting. Veg portions seem to have shrunk significantly since the last time we were with you but the prices haven’t and therefore not giving full rating for value
Wonderful food, shame about the numerous fly's and general lack of atmosphere - very tailored to package deals that include wine tours our tastings.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Swan, an excellent meal in a relaxed environment. We will return.
We were slightly early for our booking and were asked if we wanted to sit straight away, we chose to have a G&T in the bar which we then had to wait nearly 40mins for a G&T. As a result we were then seated late. Service staff were lovely but I don't think they had enough people on for how busy the place was so for us, this was a let down. The food was very good, beautifully presented and good value.
From start to finish just fab. My cousin lives nearby and dines here regularly and i can see why.
This is a great venue for a celebration particularly when combined with the wine tour. And of course the wine is fabulous.
I had a beautiful meal in lovely surroundings and the most delicious tomato salad I have ever eaten. Superb quality tomatoes, a delicious goat cheese alongside, and well chosen dressing. I'd be back regularly if only I lived closer.
Lovely restaurant, nice and cool on a hot day. Good service, food was nice but nothing to rave about considering the price. £200 for 2 courses for 4 people. We did have a couple of drinks each and a bottle of wine but was a very expensive lunch.
Best dining experience we’ve had in our 15 years in Kent, never fails to deliver on all fronts.
Really enjoyed our lunch. The food was wonderful and decent portions - I don't like my plate to be overflowing with food. Well presented. Only minor complaint was no one checked to see we had drinks. Going back for the wine and cheese experience. Looking forward to that.
