About The Sun Inn
We are passionate about everything that we do at The Sun Inn and we take pride in our food. Using seasonal produce our chefs prepare and produce a variety of dishes to suit all tastes, catering for all ages and a strong choice of vegetarian meals too. We are open 7 days a week and provide a calming restaurant atmosphere or alternately you can eat in our bar area.
Everyone is welcome at The Sun Inn and we allow dogs in our lounge areas. Children are welcome at all times with highchairs, children's menu is available.
We are able to accommodate large tables also up to a size of 30 people.
The place needs nicer seating and a lick of paint but the food was tasty and great value.
Staff were very friendly and happy to help us. Food was lovely, hot and tasty.
Thank you so much for the service on new year's eve for the group booking upstairs, the service was brilliant and ideal for the start of our evening. Would highly recommend. Thanks again!
9 of us went for a Christmas lunch...we had mostly a range of ciabattas and chips. Lots to choose from, all came quickly, very tasty and hot. Staff were very pleasant, nothing too much trouble.
Amazing food, fantastic size portions and really lovely service couldn’t recommend highly enough!
A most enjoyable experience. I would definately recommend the steak and mussels.
Lovely venue, good food and friendly service.
Excellent service and food for a works party of 35! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you!
Excellent service and fantastic food. Highly recommended
Excellent service very friendly and polite staff overall a fabulous place will definitely come back
We were recommended the Sun for our staff Christmas Meal. Service was poor as the same glasses that were bought at the beginning of the meal were still on the table when we left. We gave a list of menu choices days in advance to avoid confusion, however there was confusion regarding the order and all did not receive the correct choices which resulted in us having too many puddings. We expected the table to be dressed for a christmas celebration, however we were placed at a table in the bar area, when receiving our starters we were given poor quality crackers.........and that was it!!!! We will definitely be returning to the Farmers Arms next year!
Beautiful meal, enjoyed by all
The only complaint was the room was very cold. People sat with coats on. I did mention it when I came in on 2 occasions throughout the day. Other than that everything was lovely Thsnks
Great night ! food Great and nice atmosphere well looked after by a lovely host and nothing to much trouble considering the large group size no easy feet! Well recommended A+A+
Beautiful roast dinner. Very tasty and great value for money.
considering it was one of the busiest Sundays of the year, and we were a very large party ,the meals were perfect, hot fresh and enjoyed by everyone, thank you to you and all your staff for your prompt and efficient service, we will be booking again for our next visit
It was a family occasion and being able to book was great as we wanted to be in town. The food was served in a timely manner particularly as it was very busy. Everyone one cleared their plates! We were sat in restaurant area but still able to keep an eye on the football.
Will be staying again
Fantastic food (could'nt finnish the ribs tho too much of a challenge for me) service was great cant fault anything ... Defo recomend a meal in there
Great food at great prices good atmosphere and ii would definitely recommend the breakfast
Fantastic meal and great service
I don’t use salt at home for health reasons and did find the mushroom soup too salty. Other than that everything was fine. Wouldn’t stop me going again that’s for sure.
Very good food and value for money
lovely food quick service
Sunday dinner, beef lovely, carrots & green beans OK, cabbage on the raw side, mash salty, grave tasted of pepper, roast potatoes anaemic, Yorkshire pudding although large burnt, not in a hurry to return!
