About The St Enodoc Hotel
Overlooking the Camel Estuary our Brasserie is the perfect place to enjoy great food and service in a relaxed environment. In fine weather, diners are able to enjoy their meal whilst taking in the fantastic views from our lovely terrace.
With an endless supply of quality produce in the local area our Executive Chef Guy Owen and his team will be focusing on fresh, healthy, modern dishes. We use locally caught Cornish fish and our meat and vegetables come from our family farm Madewell in Hatherleigh, Devon.
Please inform us of any dietary requirements or allergies.
Our fine dining tasting menu offering. Price is £85 per person. No children under the age of 12.
Lovely hotel great good and service
Lovely atmosphere and decor with amazing views of the estuary. Friendly helpful staff. The food was good but the dinner portions were a bit small for the price eg rack of lamb was 2 small ribs
In this weird year, the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff at St Enodoc made a welcome break from our 4 walls. I wish I’d booked for longer. I’d still be enjoying the estuary view from our window.
Our food was excellent, both inventive and of top quality, cooked to perfection and served at the optimum temperature which is so important and often overlooked. Best meal we have had for a long time. I could never grade something as expensive as value for money, especially as I was the one paying, but I have paid similar for less - maybe I should have economised by forgoing the pre-dinner drinks. Service was also spot on, attentive but not oppressive, friendly; well done for working extra hard wearing the wretched masks etc. The atmosphere could be improved by softening the noisiness of the dining room, and the entrance to the hotel (from the car park - we were tourists but not hotel guests) was underwhelming - the double doors were not in keeping with what lay ahead and reception area very plain and too well lit perhaps. More books and drama in the library if it is to carry that name! Brilliant, glad I got to experience it and best meal while on holiday.
Food was exceptional and service excellent
Great service, staff excellent. Felt clean and safe. Loved the decor. Enjoyed having a drink in the lounge first. Food delicious. Thank you!
Exceptional food, truly dog friendly, excellent customer experience (for humans and four legs). Only downside is the dog friendly rooms are a little small.
We were expecting fine dining but the restaurant was not this at all. I have to say the staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for you. Some of our food was cold, this was dealt with by the staff, I was past eating at this point. My husband said the steak was delicious. Overpriced for what we had. We eat out a lot and this was not up to the recommended expectations. Such a shame as I was looking forward to dining at this place.
A lovely restaurant with a beautiful view and very good service
Lovely afternoon tea.
Lovely, lAcking in atmosphere which I believe is Covid not your team
Pleased to get a table at short notice, booking very straightforward and easy. Food always reliably good, service friendly and efficient but not obtrusive. We like the St. Enodoc a lot!
We enjoyed an absolutely wonderful evening, the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be returning, this time to stay for a few days. Many thanks to the wonderful team.
While renting in rock we went to eat at St. Endoc two evenings. Had a lovely drink in the lounge first in front of a log fire then went into the brassiere. Food was excellent as was service. All felt very safe with Covid restrictions. Certainly be back perhaps even to stay.
Wonderful Hotel & an extremely comfortable bed
Great food as always
We have much appreciated how the hotel is striving to maintain its standards, staff service particularly, while coping with the challenges of the pandemic.
Interesting menu and flavours. Deserts need another fruity option.
A very enjoyable stay, despite these difficult times. All staff were very helpful & friendly. Highly recommended.
Wonderful experience lovely setting , amazing food and great staff, made to feel so welcome including our 2 dogs. Thank you
We have had a great time. The staff are efficient, friendly and know the guests individual likes and dislikes. We would like to specifically thank Rachel and Marcus for looking after us.
We had a excellent Sunday Lunch this was 5 star But afternoon tea was a great disappointment, as we had previously had a afternoon tea in 2019. It all came separately on wooden boards the ham sandwiches had far to much mustard on them and had to be left, the cakes where heavy and overall a great disappointment, I had had a better afternoon tea at Morrisons supermarket than i did here this time and at £55.00 was not worth it. I think presentation wise it is lovely to have everything displayed on a tiered display in front of you than wondering what might be brought cake wise later.
The staff were so very welcoming & professional. Moreover, we felt completely safe in a COVID controlled environment and still being made to feel appreciated.
As usual, the warm atmosphere and friendly, efficient service were perfect. As for our brasserie dinners, one of us was totally satisfied by the food (cod, with fennel and smoked aubergine). Two of us struggled a little with the menu to find, I guess, plainer and simpler meals. My plaice was nice, but consisted of a rather bony tail portion. A few more vegetables would have been appreciated.
Fabulous service and delicious food. We had Sunday lunch and were served by Rachel who was lovely and welcoming. Thank you for changing our booking too - we really appreciated that! x
