About The Stag at Offchurch
An idyllic, thatched gastro-pub in the Warwickshire countryside, specialising in home-cooked food, fine wines and well-kept real ales.
We've been to The Stag several times over the past few years and it is everything you would want from an English country pub. Great food, good beer and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly and we will return soon!
Food was fabulous!
Fantastic food and drink!
It would be nice if you opened earlier for coffee, and the restaurant wasn't closed at 2pm. I meet with family and we would normally spend longer chatting before and after lunch.
Brilliant service, lovely staff and great food
We had a fabulous Sunday lunch, the food really was excellent. The service was just a little slow (12:45 sit down and didn't finish until 15:40). But overall a lovely lunch in a very nice restaurant.
We always enjoy a meal at the Stag. The menu is fairly traditional with a modern twist and the ingredients and cooking are top notch. No complaints at all.
Lovely meal and really enjoyed each course we had. The only thing I would say, having chosen the pate for a first course, was surprised this was not served with toast. Having been given 'complimentary bread' after ordering we had eaten this before the first course came, so I had to ask for more to go with the first course. Pate without toast, or some sort of bread is not usual. This is just an observation the dish was gorgeous.
Awesome food and great service
Lovely meal, friendly staff in s nice country pub.
Vegetables arrived half way through the main course. Nice but not exceptional food
Excellent evening. Food and service without fault
A lovely evening with attentive staff and a lovely atmosphere
Came for a meal here with my old man. Had a great bottle of wine next to the fire and topped it off with two perfect fillet steaks. A perfect pub, with perfect service. I also fell in love with the waitress!
Disappointed with the choice of items on the menu. In the event ended up with a seafood salad. This was nothing special and certainly not worth the £15.75 price! Service was also on the slow side considering it was a mid week lunch time and not busy.
Fabulous food and service. Only slight criticism would be the front of building/entrance - not as inviting as it could be. Not all that clear where you come in.
Really love this pub but unfortunately my meal was cold. Think that the staff were very busy but it was still disappointing
fantastic lunch - food was awesome. Lovely catch up with old friends.
Great food, great service and a warm cosy atmosphere
Another very good meal with friends in a lovely setting. The chiorizo scotch egg was excellent!
Really excellent in all respects
Fantastic service nothing was too much trouble very friendly and knowledgeable waitress. Delicious food with lots of options for coeliacs.
Very slow service - we waited over an hour for our main course as a party of 17 were served first (although they arrived after us); the restaurant had run out of horseradish for the roast beef and it now seems my credit card was charged twice for the meal .... not the best experience !!
We had a group of 26 in the private room on Saturday for my husband's 60th birthday. The waitresses were all very efficient, helpful and friendly. We had a great evening to remember. Could you also please thank Theo for all his help with the booking and planning.
