About The Square
International Buffet Restaurant Located at the heart of Singapore Clarke Quay
Seafood are cery fresh hope that the oysters would be replenish faster.
Excellent service by the staff as plates were promptly clear throughout our meal.
Value for money lunch buffetr with the eatigo vouchers.. Great variety.. And enjoyable afternoon
Overall value for money but it would have been better if the spread could be more extensive. Desserts section is very nice and have wide selection.
Food not bad but not much variety.
Refill of the food need to improve. The replacement / refill of foods are slow. Not sure whethet it's due to the manpower issue.
Prawns fresh Durian paste very good Sashimi didn’t come until most finished Cooked dishes so so Laksa good
The chilli crab sauce is nice but the crab could be better. Prawns and Oysters are fresh and good. There could be some fish dishes. Mushroom soup is nice but the old cucumber soup is not nice. Laksa is nice but will be better if there are quail eggs.
Awesome service from head chef, waitress . Everyone works hard here and very friendly. One for the best for service. Purchase the fri night sesfood buffet. Disappointed w the selection. No snow crabs but stated everywhere is the advertisment. So definately no worth the money for it. But good service recovery from head chef. Provided excellent quality oysters and unlimited flow of crayfish. Crayfish was limited 2 per pax actually. But would need more variety of cook food. But one possible reason is that there isnt many customers.
Eve, Tracy and Justin are highly commendable. They produced excellent service, with a smile on their face throughout my dining experience. Everyone of my guests are very happy with the food and service of your staffs, and they intend to introduce to their Immediate family and friends to dine at The Square @ Novotel Clarke Quay. Thank you to your staffs, once again. Have a good week ahead.
oyster was not fresh
Nice staff. Spacious seating. We enjoyed the setting. Buffet spread is too limited. We took laksa, prawns and durian pengat with coffee. Looking forward to having more dim sum and beef.
Not a super large selection but quality is fairly good. Great place to dine at. Service is attentive and prompt.
Enjoyed our lunch and good price by using Eatigo and Accor discounts
Not much variety of food & soft drinks
Food quality and selection are not worth the price that you pay for. Service is good but the entire food selection, quality and taste was just not up to expectation of the price you would pay. Definitely not returning again.
The bread, waffles and Man Tou were exposed to air and were dry and hard as a result. Should cover the bread with cloth to keep it soft. Man Tou should be kept in steamer. The cream puff also looked very hard. i wanted to try but give up as it is hard as rock. There was no one at the roast and noodle station. I was waiting there for a long time and the crew pretended not to notice and get on with their tasks. In the end, i got to help myself. When i was there, someone came out from behind and saw, instead of taking over, he went back inside. Plates were promptly cleared. Crab and oyster taste good but are very tiny. oyster were not replenished. The salad and sauce were nice.
Lousy service. Undercharged $30+ on bill and staff chased me like a loan shark, sending me WhatsApp msg from their personal mobile number. I’ve agreed to pay the undercharged amount and requested for an email confirmation prior payment but email received with a wrong calculation on the payable amount again. Feedback via email and the manager replied brushing me off with the waiver of the undercharged amount without addressing my issues and concerns.
The atmosphere of the restaurant looked great especially the view. The buffet spread and presentation was good, the Head Chef was most friendly. In fact he was the only one who seemed to interact with the guests. I must say I'm rather disappointed with the service. The greeter was serving two guests when I turned up. But instead of making an effort to come back to me, she took a detour and went straight to the kitchen. All the staff present saw me standing at the entrance and NO ONE came to assist me! Finally the greeter came back and service without a smile. As a HOD who worked used to work for Accor NZ regional office, I am appalled at the level of service. I may not dressed up in a corporate suit, or looked like a local, it doesn't mean I get any less treatment than the two foreigners in front of me. Special credit goes to the Head Chef. The rest of the staff failed to smile either, but something which does not require much effort.
Happy n Worth to dine a The Square.
Nice service and staffs. Coming back here soon.
Food spread is limited. The ambiance is serene and spacious. services is good.
1. First Impression - waiting to be seated was served by a lady at the counter, who was visibly impatiently trying to get us to check if we have Accorplus membership. 2. Dishes were not refilled promptly. 3. Selection of dishes were limited - saw roasted lamb and beef on the menu but did not see any of those on offer. 4. Seafood was fresh but again, selection was limited, refilling of oysters were not fore coming. Had to chased 5. Probably the worst of the above all, buffet guest used a box to "take-away" and emptied the entire tray of sashimi. When i happened to have a chat with one of the staff when he told me that the guest paid for the sashimi, which is the most ridiculous thing i ever heard. How can a restaurant allow a guest to empty the entire tray of food in a takeaway box?? If the guest emptied it onto his plate and I think that is acceptable. 6. The only positive was the crepe station was friendly and the crepe was good.
Reluctant in refilling of oyster. Chill crab taste not fresh. Atmosphere is great.
