About The Square
International Buffet Restaurant Located at the heart of Singapore Clarke Quay
Variety of food can be improve. Decent ambience and service though. Service staff Justine and Tracy deserves a mention for their good service mannerism overall.
Went for the seafood dinner buffet on sat night. Variety was great. Local signature food are delicious. Food was always frequently replenished. Cold dish such as oyster was fresh. Cakes were plenty and good. Dessert such as durian pengat and bread pudding were good. Drinks such as coffee, bags of tea and even hawthorn was available. Price is really reasonable with the usage of a range of credit card avail for greater discount.
The durian pengat is delicious.
Generally, food not replenished during the lunch buffet, the variety of food has lessened compared to before, some of the food was not cooked so well.
Restuarant manageress service is excellent
Chilli crab is really crab! Taste like being heated up for few days, flesh was dry like flakes, durain quickly finished and delayed in replenishing, no complimentary parking is worst
Good service and value for money
Crab can be fresher :) But love the service and the spread
Perhaps the big bowl of barley water should come with a cover for hygiene purpose
Maybe because this was a festive New Year’s Eve meal the atmosphere was very nice but price of buffet was on the higher side. But that was compensated by free beer. So this was overall still a satisfying meal!
enjoyed the lunch buffet. the square has a good variety of food and desserts (esp the durian pengat)
All of us agreed it was the worst buffet out of many we'd ever been to, my group were complaining about the low quality food the whole dinner and i had to APOLOGISE to my group for choosing this buffet! Alaskan crab legs were straight from the freezer, soggy with defrosting, tasteless, tough, old, wet meat. Mud crabs were obviously frozen and tasteless too. Zero freshness and sweetness of seafood. We could barely eat it. Oysters didn't taste clean and the shells looked the dirtiest and darkest greenest ever. Beef "Ribeye" was the toughest ribeye any of us ever had before, I don't believe its a ribeye as there was no line of fat running down vertically in that whole slab of tough roast steak. No lobsters although I THOUGHT I saw lobsters in the menu when I booked in November. Boring soups and desserts and the rest. Summary, entire waste of money and a total regret wasting our NYE celebration eating here, probably one of the worst choice of dining in SG i could have made. Ruined our night. Did your chef even try eating the alaskan crab, ribeye, oysters himself? Is this low quality standard acceptable and supposed to be worth $100 ea?
the food is good.
Everything was very good and we had a great time in the restaurant.
2 points to take note:- 1) The tuna / salmon sushi not fresh and it shouldn't be exposed. It is best kept in a refrigerator or covered. Tuna sushi were a bit dried up when I took it 2) Too many beef dishes on the hot selection. Beef ghoulash and stir fried noodle with beef is too much. As I do not take beef due to religious purposes, I can't take the fried noodle which was a dish most people like
The food spread was not too bad but it would be better to have more seafood. The service is excellent. Relaxed and cozy ambience.
Not much choosers.
food is so so
All in all the buffet was good value for Christmas day.
Can have more varieties of food like more local delicacies such as chicken rice, satays etc. Lamb/mutton dishes seems like missing too. The chili crab was not that fresh. The 3 dishes I enjoyed the most were the prawns at seafood on ice, the ham at the roast meat and the durian pengat. Overall I enjoyed my food and the service.
Good for Christmas dinner
Thankyou for a wonderful Christmas lunch. The food was fabulous

Food could have been replenished quicker as we had to go back again as there was none left
Great value for money and tasty food from the buffet! Service somewhat lackluster. Staff could be a little more smiley / friendly. Did not walk us to our table, but rather pointed where our table was so we had to pretty much find it ourselves. Staff initially informed us free flow beer / wine was $30++, but later stated this was $58++ per person. We were served ice water in the beginning, but had to also ourselves at a later stage. It's small things, but this is an area that can be improved I think.
