The oysters and mussels are too small in size, it’s quite an insult to the consumers. :( Especially the oysters which were so thin, it was not satisfying at all. However, the crab and pork knuckles were really good!!!

The big mud crab makes up for everything. It's nice, meaty and most importantly, it's very very presentable. Good job in having this crab dish.. Good. Quality. Let your exec chef know to continue having that to maintain your sales...

smokers should be moved further away from auto-door-smoke was constantly blowing into restsurant, making us, & several other diners, sneeze & blocked noses-v unpleasant. dinner buffet food selection [esp crabs, exc goat & blue cheese,durian dessert , laksa] outstanding in quality -whoever in charge doing exceptional job[but don't tell anyone-they'll get promoted to new Sofitel & lost!] breakfast in contrast more average-still good as expected for this standard of hotel

The crab is ok, but other foods are similar and the appearance seems not tasteful. But the most worse thing was the bill settlement arrangement, it took over 20 mins for it and it leaded to the roaming call from the Uber driver, I needed to pay idd call, over $5 Singapore dollar. Really bad experience

Went for lunch weekday lunch buffet. Food variety very little. Food taste was also below average. No fruit juice or soft drinks, only coffee and tea, which doesn't goes well with any of the food. Cups are very dirty at the coffee area. There are stains on most of the coffee cups and I have to pick and chose the least stain ones. Ice creams were soft like half melted. Staff didn't refill water. Overall experience was disappointing. Not worth it if paying for full price.

Food ran out fast but refilling too slow. Hope to see more variety in the cold cut station. Nice chilli crab but need to keep dishes warm and hot.

Terrible experience! High expectation when i check on the buffet menu provided online. We was actually booked through "Eatigo". I always trust this apps & all our family lunch/ dinner gathering are booked through this app. It provided full details (contact, location, prices,etc...), some photos & all buffet & ala cart menu from the restaurant as well. Unfortunately, regret and disappointing to comments that IT IS TOTALLY NOT WORTH FOR HAVING BUFFET AT THIS RESTAURANT! Firstly, we are really toward their customer services attitude. It might be due to shortage of manpower? (I not too sure.. just my personal feel and from what i saw) Mineral Water can be only refilled by the staff and it take LONG TIME for them to refill AFTER REMIND AND REMIND. When we request to have 2 sets of kid's tableware. They provided 1 set which was USED BY OTHERS WITH LEFTOVER FOOD AND OILY STAIN ON THE PLATE! We showed immediately to the staff (who provided-a guy waiter) and he took away without answering us (at the same time we remind again we need total 2 sets as what we requested earlier). After a while the guy bring back the same plate (as it has a obvious scratches beside the plate that can be remember) with another set. AGAIN, WE FOUND THAT THE PLATE IS STILL LEFT WITH LITTLE BIT OF OILY STAIN (it was like they using tissue paper or cloths to wipe off)! We feedback again to the same guy and he replied: "Sorry mam, now is our restaurant peak hour & we have shortage of child's tableware set. I ONLY ABLE TO HELP YOU GET THIS TWO SET, IS LUCKY YOU ARE EARLY! We was thinking wth are you talking as he also mentioned we come early at 7pm and at this hour you already shortage of tableware! And that's a 4 STAR LEVEL HOTEL RESTAURANT. Also, restaurant should be very careful when handling food and tableware that served! It is about hygiene issued! I would suggest The Authority to always check on this restaurant! Secondly, the food there is NOT AS MUCH AS MENU THEY PROVIDED ONLINE! Example, 4 of salad choice was listed & we found 2 only, Fresh Oyster provided BUT ONLY 2 PCS AT ONE TIME WHEN SERVED ON BUFFET TABLE, listed sashimi should have Tuna Fish & Salmon BUT ONLY LEFT A LOT OF TUNA SASHIMI AND SALMON SERVED NOT MUCH EVEN AFTER LONG HOUR WITHOUT REFILL, Appetizer such as jellyfish, octopus, etc... ARE LOST! IT IS TOTALLY NOT WORTH FOR ME & MY FAMILY TO CELEBRATE OUR BIG THERE ON THE DAY AND IT MAKE EVERYTHING WORST WHEN COME TO THE END OF THE DAY! During the payment settlement, bills is ready printed when we proceed to the counter & we informed that there are 2 senior citizen that can enjoy some promotion (we saw the poster in lift & also entrance to the restaurant) and if we provide their NRIC to check age, is the bill can be deduct? The staffs was a bit annoying and point the fault to us said that:" WHY YOU DID NOT TELL EARLIER AS BILL HAS BEEN PRINTED." Then think he take sometime to reverse out the transaction as may be lack of experience on the system. We was patiently waiting at the counter and then suddenly we was told:" Please wait because YOU ALL SUDDENLY CHANGE I NEED TO DEDUCT OUT. NEXT TIME PLEASE INFORM EARLIER AND PLEASE CALL AFTER YOU BOOKED ONLINE. Then i replied:" I actually did called once after booked to reconfirm and i believed that nobody would specially mentioned the age when they book online / call. And i was just nice that we saw the promotion poster in hotel lift & entrance of restaurant. As what my conversation to you earlier is IS THE BILLED CAN BE DEDUCT? You can actually told me nicely to wait as we are really patient and asking with respect. Also, when you saw us walking toward the front counter you direct print and asking for payment mode without let us re-confirm/ check the quantity of dining person. TRUELY DISSAPOINTED AND REGRET TO CHOOSE THIS RESTAURANT TO CELEBRATE OUR DAY! I WOULD SURELY NOT COME BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE!

The worst buffet. Tacos, Fajitas were lousy n limited. There was zero buttermilk chicken - its a total lie. The roast lamb was terrible n so was the sashimi - limited. The bamboo clams were a joke. The oyster sparingly. The pasta choices were a joke. What else is there? Wilted salad. The desserts were cut so small u can see the F& B Director is stingy. Totally inedible n not worth going back. Absolutely not hoteliers but finance freaks to save $$$$$$$$$. NOT WORTH $1.

The wait staff should stay alert to replenish the food and we had to remind them to top up those empty plates 3 Times! And your coffee maker machine does not work that well too! Noticed the 2 Chinese young girls were busy chatting at a corner when they should be topping our empty glasses of water!

Lunch buffet is 12 - 1430 Arounf 1345, the food is almost empty. Lucky there is someone complain, then is refill. The one that complain are serve like king while the rest of the customer still remain the same.

The food, service and atmosphere at The Square are great. Both my husband and I love eating there. We especially enjoy the seafood buffets with the chilli crab and fresh oysters. The quality and selection of food is excellent.

I chose a seat in a corner and ordered from the ala carte menu. It took some time to get the attention of the staff as they were mostly busy with the buffet area. Food was good, family enjoyed the experience and it was good value for hotel dining.

Quality of food was excellent and very satisfying, especially for the Chili Crab, fresh oysters and the western pasta section. However the variety is somewhat limited, compared to other international buffets. Would love to see a much wider variety.
