Bad impression from the moment we reached. Reserved for 5 adults but your records showed 3 only. Might be due to this, placed us far from the buffet table. Requested for window seats since we are already so far and was told table was taken. So sat down and went ahead with taking food. Hostess came back and told us window seats are available. (I thought they were not???) But we have already settled down, not easy to do so with a baby and decided against the hassle. Another family joined us in this extension and asked for a high chair. Hostess noticed there isn't any clean high chairs and asked if customer has wet wipe to wipe existing dirty high chair (?!). Customer was so nice and agreed but I was stunned that this was even suggested. Maybe we were far from the maddening crowd but service was not as attentive. We had to ask for refills of water and when it was slow coming, we figured it would be faster to get hot water from the buffet line and let it cool to warm (mum can only drink warm water).

The service staffs are excellent especially the tall lady staff at the reception. She made sure we got a good seat and went extra mile to make sure we got the food replenished when it was empty. Choice of cooked foods are limited. Oysters are served with limited quantities. They are replaced with mussels after a few rounds of servings. Ice cream scoop are inconveniently placed making the scooping of ice cream awkward. Often dripping water from the wash bowl.

Mother's Day 2018 was the first time I visited The Square. I reserved via Chope but called in to ask about the buffet spread as I had a vegan diner in my party. They were very helpful. There was an email confirmation and the customer service team assured me that I was eligible for the Mother's Day promo. At the dinner, they were very polite and promptly cleared the used plates and attended to our requests. My Mother thoroughly enjoyed herself with the mass cake cutting and complimentary bouquet, which was not too shabby with three lovely roses. All in all a great experience. Will recommend and revisit. :-)

I used the eatigo 50% for 9pm dining and additional 10% as an Accorplus member. Total disc at 60% which is ard $34 per pax. Not worth if it is at $78++ per pax. Their table settings are neat and clean. But the deck beside our table is dusty. Customer service are all very nice and good. Food wise, the cold deck of seafoods is very disappointing. Osyters, crabs, mussels are all very small. And the mini lobster is really very mini like the length of my middle finger. Only the clay fish are nice and worth to eat. Chilli crabs are small and not worth eating. There desserts are also very normal with jellies and cakes. Tasted normal too. There is a chocolate fondue with some friits and mashmellow only. There is also ice cream and ice kacang kind of dessert. Ice cream is not even branded..... it looks like margolia or king’s tubs in the fridge. No macaroons, no sushi. Spread is very limited. Not worth to go. Novotel has to improve alot on it’s spread to keep ppl coming for more. Otherwise it will only be an one time experience for most diners. Will not visit anymore.

The crab claws should be cracked in the kitchen before serving. They are almost impossible to be cracked at the dining table, even with the crackers provided!

Waiter chase us for payment even when it is only 8pm, a long way to closing. That leave quite a bad taste

The service is great, the guys are attentive to guests need. Maybe just need to add more variety on your Western and Japanese menu and should have at least a small cake for birthdays as you have asked the guest to tick the occasion on your booking platform. Went there during CNY seasons and there were a lot of people . Food was quickly replenished and service from the staff came with a smile. Very likely to go back.

Friendly and pleasant staff in a quiet environment. The spread of food is fantastic and out of my expectation as the price is rather low compared to other hotels. Will definitely visit again.

Everything were fine, less the clearing of empty plates took quite a while. Ice-cream was found to be quite soft and upon checking with staff, was told that the freezer was having some problem.... (immediately we looked at one another, lucky nobody suffer any stomachache)

- food lack varieties and not fast in replenishing - not enough cutlery and when asked service staff, no responses - understaffed - only the chilli crab is very fresh and good - accorplus member with voucher for 50% up to 10 pax, at least not worth it

We went for the dinner buffet to celebrate my wife's birthday. As we got there early, there weren't that many people yet, so we had the entire buffet to ourselves at the beginning. That was nice! The staff there were very friendly, replenished the food quickly and treated our 3-year old kid very well as well. We liked the food - the oyster was fresh, laksa was nice and had Yu Sheng too. If the stay was there, it would have been even better! This was definitely value for the money! We will come back!
