About The Springer Spaniel
A delightfully rustic country pub which holds a hidden secret. An exquisite freshly prepared menu designed to tempt and delight anyone looking for a fine dining experience. Whether it’s an intimate meal for two or a family friendly evening meal there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant itself was cosy and food delicious. The menu may seem a little small but food was very good except the torched mackerel. It was cold and jellylike when it came out. It had no flavor and the condiments in it did not help. Other than that, the roast and trimmings were cooked to perfection.
great little pub. We enjoyed the sunday roast!
A great meal a good lively atmosphere and great service highly recommend
Very relaxed. We spent over 3 hours having met up with friends. Not pressure to get the table back!
Great food. Cosy atmosphere
£19 for a tiny bit of hake and a couple of new potatoes swimming in sauce. Not impressed by portion size/ value for money. My partner had a ploughmans which was good and the desserts were nice but generally not the 'wow factor we were expecting. Would not make the trip from Plymouth again.
Friendly staff and good food. Was expecting a choice of menus but only had the standard menu. Very good fish and chips though with tasty curry sauce.
We were surprised with the limited menu choices, expected a specials board to extend the choice available, having read the reviews on trip advisor. We both enjoyed our starters, but I found my burger difficult to eat from the dish provided and although my husband enjoyed his lamb it was extremly rare. It would be helpful to explain that it will be rare or to ask how you would like it cooked. My husband really enjoyed his lovely light sticky toffee pudding. However overall we had a very pleasant evening.
Super venue. Our first stop always when arriving in Cornwall on holiday
Only lower on atmosphere as it was fairly quiet which is unusual, think the nice sunny day might have had something to do with that.
We normally come here for a special occasion. It was our 18th wedding anniversary. Friendly welcome and seated to our table. The food was probably the best we have ever had here - well done team Springer Spaniel!
Lovely meal, loved the cheeseburger main, would deffo return, great staff and service.
Lovely food good service, will come again.
Amazing food that tasted as good as it looked! Amazing service! Can't wait to return!
Had a lovely time, great food and great atmosphere. Wish we lived closer so we could come back more often!
An absolute gem. We spent some of the afternoon in the garden watching all the doggys play with each other and then we went in to the restaurant for dinner. Every course was exceptional and the team waiting on us were knowledgeable, professional, but also fun and jokey - and they pitched it right. We're so coming back for more and we recommend to everyone that stays in our holiday cottages.
The girls work very hard to make every visit enjoyable. The food is great.
Excellent food and service
We had a meal here on the Sunday & again on the Friday with friends. The beef roast & vegetables on the Sunday were 10/10 & look forward to returning again for a Sunday roast. Seating a little uncomfortable in the room with the benches thankfully on the Friday we were in the other room at a table with all chairs & again we enjoyed a lovely meal.
Fantastic service and wonderful food.
All the waitresses were so lovely, kind and very helpful. The food was amazing and so was the cocktail I ordered.
Delicious food, lovely old style pub, good service
Beautiful pub with delicious food. Great selection for all and good prices. We visit every year. The fish and chips with the chip shop treats has always been a favourite but the mac and cheese is also amazing. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is romantic/relaxed.
Great food and great service
