About The Spiritualist
The Spiritualist Bar and Restaurant is located on Glasgow’s Miller Street which is proving to be a thriving hotspot for new and exciting independent businesses within the Merchant City.
An exciting new venture, and development, that for the moment we’re keeping the exact details a closely guarded secret. However, be prepared to be wowed by a team of mixologists and gastronomists that push the boundaries for Glasgow’s eating and drinking culture.
Really enjoyed our visit to The Spiritualist. The food was lovely, the service very good. Overall a great experience. Would highly recommend.
Super service, particularly our wine waiter.
Restaurant was quiet when we arrived for lunch, but soon became busier during our visit. Service was prompt, efficient yet unobtrusive. Restaurant had a nice ambience with calm efficiency. Staff always available when required which is a good feature.
Staff were brilliant from booking the table through to paying the bill. Particular needs were met and they understood that as a family gathering we needed time and space to chat and catch up. Very handy location for Central, Queen St and Bus stations. A big thank you.
Absolutely disgraceful the way I was treated. Food was mediocre. Had to send my main back twice due to being undercooked and not wanting to risk eating anything pink as pregnant. Also first served it was missing the coleslaw then when it was added it was disgusting. The waiter basically told me I was lying and I should eat it anyway. Offered no apology and made to feel really awkward. It ruined our lunch which was meant to be a celebration of my pregnancy. My mum had finished her main whilst me and sister waited for our burgers coming back then I had to order whole new main as mine was still pink. Absolute disgrace and we were the only diners! All it would have taken was an apology and solution offered instead I was told “it might be a shallot” what a joke. How you can get it so wrong I will never know. Terrible.
I realise this is more for younger people than us 'oldies'. The music was a bit loud making conversation difficult, but not too bad. Great choice of drinks Food was really good. Service was a bit slow after the main course. Overall we enjoyed the Spiritualist.
Food average, service average, prices above average for the level of food and service, noisy, won't be back.
Staff were very friendly
Excellent menu, excellent food and lovely cocktails as usual!
Food was amazing and everyone loved what they ordered. Atmosphere was lovely and chilled
Wonderful ambience, the food was cooked beautyand staff were friendly and courteous
A truly enjoyable afternoon spent, food and cocktails a delight, staff couldn't have been more attentive
Lovely place for lunch with good food and attentive staff. Delightful.
I have had the fish and chips a few times but those I had on Sunday were the best, just delicious. Have never been disappointed at The Spiritualist.
Very friendly staff. Starter was a bit disappointing. Tomato & mozzarella salad but had to go hunting for the cheese!
Lewis and other staff members were great. Happy, funny and good customer service. Superb drinks and cocktail selection. Another great day at The Spiritualist enjoyed 😀. Cheers 🍻
Staff were very good and when I had a problem with my soup, it was promptly taken away with a friendly apology and no charge. Great atmosphere and would recommend
Food was delicious and so was the cocktails.
Really dissapointing first visit. I wouldn't have said that the place was exceptionally busy but we had to repeatedly ask staff for things as they kept forgetting. Such as a glass of champagne(asked 2 different servers and still never received it...) Our server was a lovely girl but think our requests were a bit lost in translation...I asked for the chicken breast without the black- pudding mash and in it's place- a side portion of hand cooked chips. What arrived was laughable- I was given a bowl of skinny fries with a very dry, overcooked chicken breast plonked on top with the tomato sauce poured over it, which made the fries totally soggy. The fish was also very dry and looked like it had been sitting under the hot plate for too long. We persevered, as by this time it had taken an age for the food to arrive and was 3pm. (Our arrival was 1:15) and we were hungry. The atmosphere was good but service definetly needs more attention to detail and food was overcooked and dry. I am afraid won't be rushing back anytime soon.....
Excellent food and very reasonable. We had the pre-theatre menu which was great value for money. Only negative comments would be that it's quite dark so found Iwe had to use the torch on our phones to read the menus. Also we were asked if we would like water on our arrival, assuming it would be a jug of tap water only to have a bottle of water delivered to our table at a cost.
We were very disappointed with the service waited half an hour for our starters and a other half hour for our main meal. Waitress was lovely and kept apologising for the wait but the Manager wasn't helpful he thought half an hour wait for 3 salads was acceptable.... wasn't interested that we wouldn't go back either so definitely won't be back and won't recommend.
Great food and service. Highly recommend
lovely food and good service. disappointed that a number of things on the menu had ran out and were not available.
Lewis our server for the day was excellent 👍
