About The Spiritualist
The Spiritualist Bar and Restaurant is located on Glasgow’s Miller Street which is proving to be a thriving hotspot for new and exciting independent businesses within the Merchant City.
An exciting new venture, and development, that for the moment we’re keeping the exact details a closely guarded secret. However, be prepared to be wowed by a team of mixologists and gastronomists that push the boundaries for Glasgow’s eating and drinking culture.
Excellent, friendly service from all members of staff. Food was delicious!
Service was quite slow at times even although the bar wasn’t particularly busy. We had to keep trying to go to the bar to get someone’s attention to order more drinks even though it was supposed to be table service.
Fantastic waiting staff! Great food and drink too.
Was such a lovely evening and the staff were so attentive and friendly! Thank you for having us :)
We finished our meal and had to give the table back, the woman who served us made sure we had a booth in the bar waiting for us to move to. She was super friendly and helpful the whole time. We will definitely be back!
We reserved a table as had family over, once we had sat down another reserved sign was put on our table for the next customers at 4:30 giving us just 2 hours which I didn’t like. We would have stayed longer than that had we not felt we were on a timer. Is this standard practice?
Best bar in the city centre Cocktails are amazing Staff are lovey 😊
So impressed following my visit We received exceptional table service even though we only booked a table for drinks The 2 gentleman who served us were outstanding Incredibly thankful
Lovely meal and fantastic cocktails
I had an excellent meal food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The bar and restaurant was elegant but relaxed.
A friend had been a few weeks ago and had ordered the prawn curry. Whilst she really enjoyed it she mentioned the rice portion wasnt big enough. I mentioned this to the waitress as I wanted to order the curry and she brought me an extra portion of rice. I really appreciated this extra service.
My Favourite bar in Glasgow Does the best cocktails 😊
I am so sorry to say I was deeply deeply dissapointed. I had such high hope for your resturant. So much so that I booked with you for my 50th birthday treat. Your menu seemed like a dream but the reality was a bit of a nightmare. The food was less than mediocre. I had to send my original order back because it was like wall paper paste. It was the artichoke rissoto and I have never tasted anything more disgusting. It had been so over cooked that it became a tasteless rice pudding nightmare. The starters were nice and the Candy floss coctails were brilliant. Well done your bar! But your kitchen really must step up its game. My sister had the curry which she compared to something from a Weatherspoons pub and my second order, the Ox cheek was lack luster and also lacked the kind of rich robust flavour one would expect from a dish like that. I made the difficult decesion to eat it and not send a second plate back to the kitchen because I was just so hungry and it was passable. My good friend had a few starters as her main because she is vegan and it gave her more options. Sheade the best choice of us all. In short, the food lacked freshness, flavour and love. I can only assume your chef actually hates food. I am not happy to write this review but I must be honest. Turning 50 is a bit of a big deal and I was so dissapointed to have had that meal as a birthday treat. ☆☆ ☆☆ for your coctails and service -☆ for your food Oh yes and the ambiance was challenging. The music, I felt, was inappropriate and loud. I expected something much more sophisticated. Yet again a Westherspoons comparison. I have never been to one but my sister made the comparison more than once. Honestly I was sincerly excited to eat in your establishment and so very let down.
Excellent meal, loved the dry ice pineapple dessert 👌😋
Highly recommend, lovely food FABULOUS cocktails and friendly staff loved it and will definitely be back!
Felt the music was a bit too loud for an afternoon. Apart from that a lovely afternoon.
Food was nice, but not alot for the price. And it was very loud at your dinner As nothing blocks the restaurant from the bar Service is spot on
Good food and atmosphere
Difficult to have intimate conversation due to sound level but great atmosphere for 4pm . Very good table service, only difficulty was that staff were very busy and so I had to seek out someone to advise we’d arrived in time for our reservation. Still a favourite place to socialise.
Everything was perfect. Thanks
Great place ! Came for cocktails and nibbles with a group of friends. The whole group really enjoyed it . Definitely the best place in Glasgow at the moment. Can’t wait to come again .
Excellent food and service will defiantly be back
The service and food was good. The only think that let it down was there was a DJ playing very loud music from 7.30. We could not hear ourselves talk. I didn’t think the music was appropriate for a restaurant or the clientele. But in saying that the waiters where great and we managed to move into an area further away from the music. Where we could sit and enjoy our meal and a chat. I understand that this is a bar as well as a restaurant. So maybe think of the volume and the customer.
We always have a great time at our favourite - The Spiritualist! Delighted that where we love to go for cocktails and good wine also boasts fabulous food. The team there are amazing. Talented chef(s), impressive mixologists and friendly staff in general. Great ambience just completes our checklist for a great time! Thank you always
Excellent meal and drinks staff were very friendly and attentive
