About The Spiritualist
The Spiritualist Bar and Restaurant is located on Glasgow’s Miller Street which is proving to be a thriving hotspot for new and exciting independent businesses within the Merchant City.
An exciting new venture, and development, that for the moment we’re keeping the exact details a closely guarded secret. However, be prepared to be wowed by a team of mixologists and gastronomists that push the boundaries for Glasgow’s eating and drinking culture.
Slight issue with the length of time it took yo get our main course served however after we spoke to the waitress this was rectified quickly. We did also receive a discount on our total bill as recognition of the wait we 'd had which was a nice touch and very much appreciated. Certainly wouldn't put us off coming back. Food was good and wine nice.
Great value for lunch Lush cocktails
Great food for a great price! Really beautiful restaurant, nice and chilled :)
Beautiful place and I have been a few times . My only criticism is my food we ordered the fish supper and both had to be sent back as not cooked properly - a think I have never done but I just could not eat it and the pudding was ice cream and shortbread but we did not get any shortbread . The girl was very nice and apologetic and gave us some discount . Had a lovely Easter cocktail but the food was very disappointing!!
a Lovely afternoon staff helpful and couldn’t do enough to ensure our party were happy with everything. All requests handled well.
Friendly, knowledgable staff. Incredible choice of drinks.
Service was brilliant, number of staff approached our table during our visit and they were all extremely well presented and had such a great approach and were very sociable.
Lovely atmosphere, mixed age group. Quality food and pleasant staff. Would definitely come back
First time at The Spiritualist and definitely be back. Group of 6 of us. Lovely venue and atmosphere came in for a Sunday meetup with friends. Staff were very attentive, courteous, informative and mannerly. Love one of the staffs moustache.
Had to ask for the 20% discount to be taken off the bill. Shame because the food was excellent.
Our starters were served 90 mins after our arrival. My sister & I ordered our burgers well done but on arrival my sister's burger was raw in the middle. This made us lose our appetites and upset our mother who was out for a mother's day lunch. We requested a reduced bill because of our experience but on hindsight I think we should not have been charged at all.
Thoroughly enjoyed our food and the atmosphere was lively. Service was slow but staff were lovely and friendly.
Lovely food, lovely restaurant and staff. Waited quite a while for drinks and food initially but it was a team birthday and we were all chatting and having fun anyway. Lovely night. Food top class.
I have enjoyed previous visits to your venue however on bringing my Mum for mother’s day it was a disaster, the menu I booked was unavailable and the Mother’s Day menu only had an option for 3 courses with a hefty price tag! I brought this up on arrival and was told the only other option was the A la carte menu, service was extremely slow waiting half an hour for our drink and 1 hour for mains, the restaurant was not full! I asked for the desert menu but nobody came back to take the order so I just asked for the bill, twice! 25 minutes later the bill appeard. I was given 20% off by way of compensation however the experience I wanted to give my mum was ruined as was the family at the table next to us who seemed to be having similar issues!!! Sadly this experience has put me off future visits to somewhere I used to regard as a fabulous eatirie with a lovely atmosphere.
Can’t fault the waiter his service deserved the 5 star. We waited over 25 mins for the starter that came the soup on the Mother’s day deal was really thick more like a paste. The waiter apologised for the length of weight and gave us a glass wine free. The main was amazing the desert was very bland and mine still had the sheet still on the bottom of it. Again we got another wine for it. Was for my mums others day and for the money we paid could have got a lot better for the net. Everyone rates you but have to say put us off
Very nice atmosphere and decor. Service was good, a bit too slow however between meals. The biggest let down was the food - it was just OK. With such a huge variety of options to choose from in Glasgow, it had no wow factor and was generally just alright. For the money i would go elsewhere in the future.
Had a lovely evening with friends, meal was delicious and enjoyed by all. Did think it was quite expensive but this didn't detract from our enjoyment
As a party of 10 we chose from the pre theatre menu no one was disappointed. Good atmosphere friendly waiter service & an excellent selection of cocktails. Will definitely return & recommend. Fabulous time!
We had dinner for 8 people. Fish platter prawns weren’t cooked properly and had to be sent back. Scampi and chips- 4 pieces of Scampi Scallops one of the guests were sick after eating the them Not value for money expensive for what you got.
This is a regular go to place in Glasgow for me. For work I have a lot of colleagues visiting from other cities and often take them there too and everyone I have taken there have asked to go back when they return to Glasgow. The pre-Theatre menu is great value for money. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Never a bad experience. Great drinks list too and cocktails.
Management and staff are excellent ,attentive without being intrusivr
I found our experience at the restaurant last night extremely poor and in large that was the general feeling of the group. I find charging £10 for scallops and them not being king scallops a bit of a joke, the portion sizes are a definite problem, the steak was definitely not 300g,the amount of chips and veg on the plate was scarce,I had the pig cheeks and was probably finished it in 6 mouthfuls, the chateaubriand was cooked well enough but again there wasn’t enough of it and was served with a pathetic amount of veg, the portion size of the cheesecake was shocking. I find the prices you are charging are reflected in the setting but the food has to improve greatly to justify the cost, most of us left hungry and would not be back other than to have a drink
Food was OK, drinks took too long to arrive. Great atmosphere and staff were attentive
I have been to the Spiritualist on quite a few occasions and each time I get the same high quality of service and a very friendly welcome. That rates highly with me. The presentation and the quality of the food is of a high standard - and not huge portions, which personally I don't like, so this suits me perfectly. I have recommended this restaurant to many friends.
