About The Spiritualist
The Spiritualist Bar and Restaurant is located on Glasgow’s Miller Street which is proving to be a thriving hotspot for new and exciting independent businesses within the Merchant City.
An exciting new venture, and development, that for the moment we’re keeping the exact details a closely guarded secret. However, be prepared to be wowed by a team of mixologists and gastronomists that push the boundaries for Glasgow’s eating and drinking culture.
A beautiful restaurant. Was hooked by your beetroot risotto from my first visit last year. The food is always outstanding and you always have a great menu choice. Quiet and relaxed, and your staff helpful and welcoming. I can't fault and it's my number one restaurant recommendation to anyone heading into Glasgow.
Great night, high quality food, my only criticism would be time to serve drinks after ordered.
We had a great night but the dj was too loud. I have given a full review on Tripadvisor.
my Girlfriend and I had a fabulous celebratory meal at The Spiritualist. all the staff were very attentive. In all honesty we were a bit apprehensive about the food as it seemed like more of a cocktail bar, however we couldn't have been more wrong! The food, drinks, service was all top notch. Wouldn't hesitate to go back again.
Great service, good food lovely cocktails
Food was excellent as was service from all staff.
The atmosphere and ambience in The Spiritualist is lovely, as is the décor. The dish I chose was delicious, well presented and proved to be good value for money. The staff as always were extremely welcoming, courteous and professional. However, on this occasion I have dropped a star as I found the service to be a little slow, even though it wasn't particularly busy. Overall a nice experience.
Love the Spiritualist, staff are always so friendly. Only fault was time taken to serve our meal. Over half an hour from ordering to table and Starters were Soup and a prawn cocktail!!
We were a party of 5 and one of our party never got their main till we had all finished. Staff were made aware of this a few times and it still took 15 minutes to get to the table. The meal was deducted from the bill but it would have been nice to all eat together
Some food was good (not great) although we did have some issues: Scallops were lacking in size, certainly not 'King' as advertised and were noted as being a little over done. The Lamb main was a complete disappointment and the two individuals that had this main were ill through the night - coincidence? Overall the venue has a nice feel and the drinks were good value when we finally got served. Sadly the food was a disappointment and on that basis we would not be returning as there is so much better in Glasgow for the money.
Service was slow given the restaurant wasn't full.
Lovely service, good food and enjoyable evening. We will be back!
Third visit to the Spiritualist and once again great experience. Very helpful and friendly staff, great food and an all round fab evening. Will definitely be back.
Service was pretty poor at times with having to ask several times for menus, drinks and condiments
Server was miserable and kept excusing his can’t be bothered attitude by reminding us that he was at end of a very long shift - felt bad for him but maybe not at the expense of our own evenings enjoyment Food was poor, was a let down. Overall since I suggested the restaurant it was bit embarassing how it turned out. I’ve been before and the food and service has deteriorated.
We were ask to move to accommodate a large table which we didn’t mind but from arrival to main course was 1 hour and 40 min We did ask and were told it was on its way but it didn’t come for a further ten min Attthat point the tagliatelle had clamped together and dish was poor quality I’m sad as it was a birthday celebration for my friend
I love dining here as the staff and food are always lovely and this night was no different. On this particular night though, the temperature was stiflingly hot and the noise level was so loud that the background music made it a bit unbearable. I don’t remember that on previous visits at the weekend.
Not enough staff on for a Saturday afternoon very noisy so hard to chat. But the food was a amazing. The decor is lovely. first time for food. Been to the bar before. It was hard to get servered. so would go back but would ask for a table in the back of the restaurant.
Great service and lovely food
First time visiting. Really lovely. Would go again.
We had a fantastic meal on Saturday night. The staff couldn’t be any more helpful and attentive. All our party loved it.
Very slow service. We attended on a Saturday night which wasn’t particularly busy however your premises ran out of a particular beer someone in our party requested then when we tried to order cocktails 1 also wasn’t available as there wasn’t enough ingredients. First time trying but wouldn’t recommend or return.
7.30 booking. Table not ready for 20mins - bar mobbed n nowhere to stand. At table, told “”only 4 lamb left, 0 something else”. Order finally taken - now only 1scallops - so some at table having to reselect! Then”Morretti not available”- all this for a7.30 reservation!! The french onion soup was inedible! Onions not caramelised or cooked through, broth watery and flavourless and cheese on top just awful! Worst ever tasted. I NEVER give bad reviews , but this was just horrendous! Would not book again -sad as loved in summer and recommended to the friends i was with.
Staff were very welcoming and attentive
An enjoyable night, good food and drink.
