About The Six Bells
Situated in St. Michael's Village near Verulamium Park, The Six Bells is the epitome of English charm and heritage. Real ales and pub fare done right.
The pub boasts wood beams, a roaring fire, and loads of character.
Wonderful atmosphere, food and service.
We had a lovely meal with friends. Only problem was the delicious home made pie had all gone. Next time! Fabulous that you can bring your dog.
It’s a proper pub with food & service to match, I have never had a bad experience here. Also love the pizzas on Thursday!!
Lovely atmosphere, excellent service good varied menu, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, we will definitely return.
Excellent pub food, great atmosphere - would highly recommend
We were given a lovely table by the fire place and we were really looked after very well by our waitress despite it being a very busy New Years Eve afternoon!!
Great food and super service!!!
Could not have asked for more had a great time . It has all the things right that make a traditional pub great Well done to the Staff of the Six Bells
The Six Bells is a nice cosy pub. Friendly staff, with a good selection of beers and probably the best roast in St Albans!
Excellent would highly recommend
We were on the table in the corner by the fire which is great except crowds of people from the back room came to the bar to order food blocking the way through for you trying to serve and blocking all light out from our table., as well as nudging me whilst I tried to eat
The system should not allow the reservation to be placed and confirmed if the restaurant is already full booked. There was no availability when I arrived at the restaurant.
All great quality
The girl who served us (sorry I can’t remember her name) gave us so many spot on recommendations. Loved the food, wine, and the whole evening. Thank you.
Excellent service and excellent food in a warm and cosy country pub atmosphere
The staff were lovely. The music (90s) was great. The pub furniture, and fire were lovely and homely. The food was good but the kids' burgers were expensive for how big they were.
Fantastic roast dinner and the service is always very good too
So friendly and super accommodating to our two young children. Food excellent as always!
Great food and excellent beer
Great for Sunday lunch
Great to have gluten free marked on menu, makes it so much easier to eat out!
Thank you for putting us in an area that was very accommodating for us and the two dogs. Made it very easy to keep them out of the way. Great service as usual.
Lovely local pub, full of character and cosy
We eat here a lot and always very good; please note they finish serving at 4pm on a Sunday, but the app allows you to book later
Food very good. Service was quick although food a bit slow to come out, although this could have been due to the fact it was so busy. We were seated next to a table that included small children who despite their size made one helluva noise. Is there really any need for them to shout when the person they are speaking to are mere inches away. Note to other parents, not everyone wants to hear your little darlings.
