About Sisters Jordanhill
Located at the sneaky entrance at the rear of the shops on Crow Road Glasgow at the Jordanhill Train station, this is the platform you should get off.
Enter the restaurant through the secluded willow screed garden relax outside... weather permitting on The Sisters Terrace where the ivy creeps up and over the walls the pansies bring out the sunshine smile or in the evening a flicker of candle in the hurricane lamps. Skip up the stairs and a wee peek through the round window past the big clock and warm wooden entrance takes into you into a cosy rustic gem of a find don't tell too many people you might struggle for a table the next time. The Scottish oak wood floor, a quick glass of something from our exclusive wine list from Le Barrique wines and a bowl of hot steaming shellfish from the West Coast. If a comfortable evening spent at the Sisters is what you are after then take a seat peruse the excellent homemade Scottish traditional fayre menu... leave room for pudding as there are few nice choices to say the least.
Friends and I went on a voucher. Main course and a glass of wine. Portions weren't huge but very flavoursome. Next time we'll not be so mean and we'll add a starter! Surroundings and service were delightful.
I would definitely recommend this little restaurant the food was lovely and the staff very friendly
Great visit as always!!!
Lovely meal and wonderful service
First time here, used itison voucher, which had been A mother’s day gift, purchased another one and took mum and mother n law, we had sea bream which was delicious, mum had carluke ham, which she said was also delicious will defiantly return, and recommend, staff very polite and friendly, had great night
Lovely food and will definitely return. There could have been more choice of sauces for the steaks, but it was fine without sauce anyway. It was difficult to attract the waitresses attention if they were not nearby. Would recommend to anyone wishing a special meal.
Enjoyed our day thanks to all
Fabulous afternoon as always. Food and service faultless! See you soon
Excellent meal, as usual
Great restaurant have been a number of times and the food always impresses.
Came for an early Mother's Day meal with my parents. Have been here befpre and wasn't disappointed.
Enjoyed everything about our visit.
didnt like the high partition at our table, which obstructed our view of the restaurant. felt stuck in a corner. would have expected an accompaniment with the roast chicken I ordered, but had to purchase potatoes and veg seperately. on a more positive note, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was very tasty.
Perfect in every way!
Relaxed and enjoyable experience !
The latest time we could book was for 6:45, but there were plenty empty tables later on, which made me wonder if there was a bug in the system - the waitress certainly seemed surprised.
Excellent value pre-theatre and always friendly staff.
Excellent food, excellent service, great value
Although we haven't been to the Sisters' for a while, it used to be a "go-to" venue for special occasions. On our latest visit, the service was, as usual, exceptionally good. The staff members were all friendly, pleasant and very attentive. The food was alright but not as good as we remembered. My starter was tasty but too oily, as was my main course. In addition, and this may sound strange, the temperature of the food on my plate varied from very hot to warm, and was not uniformly hot. These things slightly spoiled what we expected to be a perfect evening.
As always really nice and enjoyable with the added pesonal touch
Fabulous food as always.
Fantastic food fantastic service ...lovely wee restaurant only downside no disabled access........
Totally delightful-one of the happiest experiences of my life!! Nothing could have made the day more perfect-I brrought some friends to celebrate my imminent retirement and we all rated the Sisters Wonderful ++
I booked the sisters Jordanhill about 6 weeks ago and the restaurant was freezing, we were told you had a problem with the heating, gave you the benefit of the doubt and booked again yesterday, again the restaurant was freezing, this really is not acceptable to be so cold eating a meal, I had to put my jacket on, I or my dinner partner will not come back.
