very pleasant young lady served us and apart from the madman mumbling at the bar which couldn't be helped :-) it was all good
Lovely place to enjoy drinks and food. Good atmosphere, very friendly staff, great experience
2 burgers for price of 1 on a Thursday night. Staff were friendly and food came quickly. Nothing fancy but exactly as described and a good choice on the menu. Good value for money.
We were greeted when we came in by a very nice man who asked us if we would like to sit upstairs or downstairs which was nice. The food was fantastic. The service was very good as well. Very nice pub, would definately go again.
Portion sizes are way too big, other than that I would recommend.
Nice food. Relaxed atmosphere.
Super meal, will return.
Did everything well, food excellent, couldn't fault it.
Easy to book online. Lovely place & atmosphere & food was fabulous! Thanks!
Third time here now and never disappointed love it
First time of visiting, my husband and I were made very welcome.
We really enjoyed fajitas night and would definitely visit again if we return to Chester.
The black pudding and tomato stack was particularly good, Compliments to the chef
A brilliant evening meal and drinks with friends. Good menu choices, food was great and staff and service too. Would easily recommend.
Varied menu, nice food, helpful staff.
Upstairs table for 7 - all had something different - good quality and portion sizes -service was spot on - will go again
Good quality food promptly served.
The place very nice, good food, friendly staff
I've eaten here before and had a great meal. Today was not good! We arrived at 1730 and from the outset we felt very awkward while waiting for the waitress to show us our table, she seemed more interested in having another conversation with a member of staff. The second young waitress who delivered the food clearly had to be somewhere else to be and threw the plates on the table along with the additional cutlery. The food was poor! Cuscus was crispy having been reheated in a microwave. The Sunday Roast was less than appetising and was very poorly presented. Thai Green Curry vegetables were 'mush' and served with lumpy Boiled Rice. The Desert was by far the best out of the three courses, but there again our spoons were thrown down on the table between us. Complaints were passed on to the Staff, but no concession was offered. Just a throw away comment about mentioning it to the Chef. I'll try it again, because of previous good experiences, but they'll have to up their game...
Another great experience Really friendly staff. Great atmosphere
Excellent service and good as always. See you soon.
Cracking pub, good service.
Always enjoy a lovely meal, such good food served by friendly staff.
