Fabulous service and food. Love it at The Ship.
We really enjoyed our evening. Food lovely & service great. It was a little pricey though.
Nothing was too much trouble, staff and management where brilliant and the food was fabulous. We all enjoyed the whole experience and will be returning many more times
First tome for Sunday lunch. Food lovely service great. Probably could do with a bit of a decor update. Have started going to sister pub the eagle at Weeton so in comparison. A little dated and tired.
A lovely meal.... again!! We’ll be back very soon 😃
Perfect Sunday Roast and fabulous service
Food and service was lovely
Unfortunately on this occasion we were not impressed. The food was good but some of it was cold and the drinks were expensive. I have never paid so much for a Coca-Cola. I will probably go again but it will have to be a special occasion.
With an elderly relative it was lovely to have the quiet upstairs area where she could hear the conversation - thank you
Brilliant as always!!
Food was very nice and portion sizes good. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and efficient. Would definitely return!
Not as good as previous visits
Cider choice was limited to three types of Strongbow or bottles. But that could be to do with the brewery. Menu choice was so so. Shepherd pie? And Cheese and onion pie with chutney? Deserts coming in at £5.50 for 3 scoops of ice cream is on the steep side. Service at the bar was initially quick, but then became slow as all the waitresses and bar staff were chatting around the till on the left of the bar without keeping an eye who needed serving. Waitress service was helpful prompt. I had the gammon, and my fiancé had the Halloumi. Both of which were lovely.
I would highly recommend eating here. Service was excellent although the restaurant was busy. We were shown to our table straight away and drinks order taken. We all enjoyed our food. I had the chicken which was delicious. The selection of gins is really good. It was a sunny day so we sat outside and enjoyed the lovely view. I will certainly be returning.
Service a little slow lots of staff not a lot of customers so service should have been better
Friendly staff nothing too much trouble, lovely setting inside & out, god selection of drinks, food good & decent portion sizes. Would definitely recommend. Dog friendly too!
Really lovely pub and food
We had a fantastic meal here in farthers day, absolutely delicious food. 5 stars.
Great experience on Fathers Day. Love the idea of e mailing after reservation and to confirm/cancel booking couple of days before. Would definitely recommend to others and dine again. Thank you
Good service - order taken in advance to ensure food served soon after arrival. Food was good quality. only slight criticism would be soft drinks expensive for small glass.
We had an enjoyable evening, food was good and we appreciate the Ship Inn being dog friendly. We will be booking again soon.
Booked the room upstairs for a gathering of family & friends. We had the set menu buffet. The food was fabulous and plentiful and staff attentive and friendly. Thank you so much as this was a difficult day for us and you helped by making this part of it stress free.
Hello Jason, Ali and Eli, Since taking over The Ship what turned from a once a quarter or so visit we have become weekly visitors some times more. We have to drive there so it is not our closest pub and we do that for a reason, even if one of us is on soft drinks. Keep up the good work. Regards Mark
This was our first visit but will not be our last. The views are to die for and the atmosphere good.
Probably the best roast in town. The beef was particularly good on Sunday, cooked to perfection (just slightly pink, very tender and not over cooked). Great value, especially with your secret sale. Staff very attentive. Great experience - well done!
