Outstanding meal and service. The lamb to share was fantastic.
Many thanks for a fabulous evening! Thanks in particular to Josh, our server, an absolute star! Full of knowledge, enthusiasm and generosity in his service. Also the chefs for the delicious food. We thoroughly appreciated the effort and product, working in the industry ourselves. We will be back time and again!
We loved the meal.
One of us left still hungry after three courses. Our rolled lamb was too tough and there was too much lamb belly, that amount of lamb fat was overwhelming, half the amount would have worked better. On the other hand the lamb fillet was wonderful, cooked to the perfect pinkness, succulent and tender.
Lovely, helpful staff and great food. We will definitely be returning.
We attended a Meet the Artist with 4-course tasting menu. The cocktails were delicious and the artists talk was entertaining and engaging. Dinner was superb but the best part of our experience was our waitress she was excellent, we will definitely return! Thanks Wendy
Always love the set. Great for breakfast, great for dinner!
Absolutely amazing gourmet food! Very innovative ways of combining food ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the mozzarella with the ice cream and the starter. The service was great too, the waiter made sure all of us at the table were happy with everything. Thanks :)
Great as usual
We went to this restaurant when it first opened in 2016 and really loved it, so when we went back to Brighton this weekend ( 11th May 2019) we thought we would go back to see if it was still the same high standard. We were not disappointed at all. The service is excellent and the food really is something quite special and at reasonable prices too. If we lived in Brighton, we would come here all the time, it really is that good. It so nice to find a restaurant that has kept its standards from opening, so many don't these days. We will be going back the next time we are in Brighton, hopefully that won't be too far away.
Great place nice atmosphere really good food & wine.
Excellent value for money and we would return. Food in the main was also very good other than that my Wife Aly, felt her main course of fish was under cooked. I found if difficult to converse with others on my table as I was not able to tune out the music being played and suggest that you consider re setting the volume. I hope that is of assistance. Kind regards Philip Jones
Lovely cocktails in the fix bar. Staff friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Great attention to detail and the tiramisu to die for! Be good to make clear what veg/sides the main came with - we didn't need to order more gratin as it already had with it but it is a minor point. I would definitely visit again
This meal was so good I never wanted it to end! The monkfish ceviche and beef wagyu were both out of this world. Definitely the best food I’ve had at the Set, possibly best meal I’ve had in Brighton, in the top 10 of best meals I’ve had in my whole life.
Fantastic evening. Wonderful food with brilliant service.
Wagyu beef and croque monsieur dish was just amazing.
one more choice on each course of the lunch menu would be appreciated.
The Set is an exceptional restaurant, which isn’t what you would guess when you walk in. Everything about the food, the staff, the atmosphere and the ridiculously low prices are superb. We loved our first meal at the Set. It won’t be our last.
The food was tasty, unusual and contemporary. The service was laid back and friendly. I would prefer a larger wine list but overall we had a great time.
Sublime food and friendly service Every course was a delight.
The ten courser tasting menu at the Chef's table is a gastronomic experience that the rest of Brighton cannot offer.
Fanstastic meal for our anniversary. We sat up on the chefs table but ordered off the standard menu, food was phenomenal as was the service. Chefs were friendly, chatty and super generous. Can not wait to return.
