We loved The Roof Terrace! Best view in Padstow great atmosphere and delicious as always. Thank you
Extremely enjoyable afternoon, thanks for making the effort to accommodate us on your terrace.
Wholly disappointing. It didn’t go well from the start, after standing at the reception area for a solid 5 minutes with no one there and no way of getting anyone’s attention. Taken up to the terrace area, which has been set up to a high standard with a good atmosphere. Told by the Maître D that a blanket will be brought to us soon, which never materialised. The menu was very limited - 3 options for each course - which is greatly reduced from the usual menu, perhaps that’s why the lack of choice was so overt. It didn’t take long to understand that 2 courses each would set us back more than £100 before we’d ordered our drinks. Pleasant staff, were kind when taking our orders etc. Although it became a little comedic as they were bringing incorrect things to incorrect tables throughout. Our starters were delicious, but would say £3 per asparagus was a little pricey! We both had the fillet steak which I’m sad to say was ruined by the abundance of pepper, so much so all you could taste was pepper. The “salad” it came with was the size of the palm of my hand, and the 3 buttered new potatoes weren’t much of anything either. The stark contrast of cost (£142 for 2 courses, a cider and a glass of house white) compared to the actual experience left us feeling this was more about making up for loss of earnings from lockdown rather than customer experience. This was our 3rd visit to The Seafood Restaurant and it will be our last.
Delighted to sit on the delightful roof terrace and enjoy the view over Padstow Harbour whilst eating delicious food and drinking great wine. We were so lucky the sun shone and it wasn't too windy, thank you.
A lovely late lunch up on the roof terrace. beautiful food , beautiful sunshine, a little breezy but you cant have everything.
We ordered the bread and olives to start, they never arrived, but they were on the bill! My husband had the asparagus to start, when the waitress brought it to the table, the Parmesan shavings blew off. She said she would get some more brought to the table, but never did.
Considering the restrictions and limited space available because of compulsory outside dining this dinner was exceptional. Limited but well chosen menu prepared to a very high standard and an excellent value for money wine list. Hope I can return soon.
We enjoyed a wonderful lunch on the terrace, the food was superb as was our wine choice. It took us a little while to get our first drinks order (its an expensive restaurant and the service should be exceptional) but once we reminded the staff that we were waiting the service was excellent and ran very well, especially given the difficult weather conditions. We had a really lovely experience and the staff were all very good and it was a fun and friendly atmosphere. I would definitely like to dine there again.
Delicious food and service was exceptional!
The Lobster was really nice the Seabass was disappointing reminded me of a School dinner and no flavour definitely not worth the money
Amazing service, beautiful settings, delicious food.
Absolutely first class in every department. Service, food & atmosphere were exceptional. Very fortunate to book a table on a sunny afternoon but the parasols were up & patio heaters in place to make the experience everything you’d expect. Well worth a visit
The setting is very nice on the rooftop terrace. The food was exceptional, the wine was delicious and the service was impeccable. We'd highly recommend a visit if you are in Cornwall. Especially as Padstow itself is gorgeous too.
A wait for drinks and had to ask for them.
Very nice terrace and service, food was delicious
A lovely evening with a special thanks to the lovely Polish girl that looked after us (sorry - failed to get her name!). One comment though - your “holding” area where we waited for our table needs a bit of “TLC”. It would y take a lot to smarten it up - even something as simple as a table covering would be good (tables tops showed some wear).
A very enjoyable evening, excellent meal amd service.
We dined on the Terrace as currently permitted and were fortunate with the weather. The wine list was surprisingly short: very focussed and as far as we could judge of excellent value and quality .
Well now you have asked , in our opinion the sea bass was not properly cooked, seeming to be raw in the middle, we were offered replacements to be fair , but we had dogs at home and couldn’t afford the time, ideally we should have been offered a discount, and it’s our fault for not pointing this out ,I should say we have visited the seafood restaurant fir the past 30 to 40 years , and would still come but although the starters and sweet were great the main course was lacking
Disappointed that dogs were not allowed on the terrace
The roof top terrace was lovely on a nice evening . Although the menu was limited I could have had anything . However my scallops , lobster and pavlova were delicious
Lovely roof terrace, well spaced tables, efficient staff. Food was delicious (limited choice), rather pricey but it was a holiday treat.
Fabulous lunch on the roof ! Short menu but so well prepared, loved every minute
Probably the most disappointing visit we have had to RS over several years. Staff were doing their very best fling up and down the stairs but the food cooled far too quickly, maybe domes over the food would help. Despitte some wind shield it was cold and windy. The blankets provided were a must a blessing but most guests were well wrapped and shivering which we accept there is not a lot one can do about except provide more heaters. Evening meals must be extremely uncomfortable on the rooftop. With a choice of only 3 mains being a little disappointing we chose the Bass which was very tasty but lost its heat well before the plate was finished. The ambiance-,I’m afraid, was not there and no evidence a a Maitre D’ trying to improve the atmosphere. Cushions for sitting on may have helped with comfort too. Overall a disappointing visit this time after many wonderful prior visits.
First proper meal out since LD3. Thank you Team Seafood for making it so special.. Food, wine and service was excellent.
