You're guaranteed a warm welcome and excellent service, to go along with the fine range of top quality food on offer. Quiz night on a Wednesday is a must!
A wonderful Sunday roast with fresh ingredients and not overpriced like so many places these days!
Nice atmosphere and good service.
Sadly a complete disappointment on all levels, except the view.. Several items unavailable, and rest mostly deep fried, so not much choice there. Burgers burnt, fish and chips extremely poor and not eaten. Waitress helpful and did her best. Another couple had booked a table near us, but appeared to leave without eating. Will not be returning
Great fish and chips! 😁
Again the food and service was excellent . We both had the fish which was great and fresh. The whole dinner was perfect. Can not wait till the Christmas menu starts. Keep up the good work
2nd themed night we have been to, this one was French. Food was excellent as always good atmosphere had a lovely evening, eagerly awaiting the next one.
The lower deck restaurant is really lovely with fantastic views of the harbour. Service was a little on the slow side but made for a longer evening than we expected which was nice. The food was good - the starters and mains were extremely tasty it was just the desserts which let the meal down with an “eggy” creme brûlée and stale chocolate gateau. French night was a great idea and I would definitely recommend the Schooner.
Fab food and service thanks so much
Go every week for the quiz. Food always great, service great. Fab place
Love the Salt & Chilli Calamari!
Excellent mid day event. Well done. We will be back.
Lovely place, lovely food. So nice to have such a great place to eat in Southwick.
A very pleasant meal. Just a couple of points to help improve things. The spring onion mash was very good but it would have been even better if there had been more than about a tablespoon of it. The meal was served on cold plates which meant the food cooled very rapidly. It would have been better if it had remained hot until finished.
Love this pub, go every week for the pub quiz which is great fun and compared by the lovely Chris. Also eat there a lot and am always impressed with the food, always hot. Service fab, very friendly. Fab place.
I enjoyed my meal and thought the staff super efficient. Will definitely be coming back.
Fab. Great pub, friendly and the food is always piping hot and tastes great. I’m pescatarian and am impressed with the options. The falafel burger is lovely.
the Spanish night was great food was excellent great atmosphere can't wait for the next themed night
We had an amazing meal at the Spanish themed evening. The tapas was delicious and very well presented. The paella was authentic and beautifully cooked. We finished with the yummy desserts. Looking forward to the next themed evening already! Amazing service too.
We were a little disappointed with the food on Sunday compared to several month's ago as the Schooner had been a favourite of ours. It was overcooked and dry - the roast potatoes were very hard and difficult to cut through. I would also really like to see something fruity/healthy on the pudding menu as the sweets on offer are all high in fat and sugar. At the moment there are lots of English soft fruits available.
Excellent atmosphere and service. Quality of food was excellent as always, only slight hiccup was several items were off the menu as they’d been busy.
Our first visit here. We sat at a table overlooking the harbour and had a lovely meal. Four of us all ate something different for both starters and mains - each dish was delicious. Friendly service too! We will definitely return.
I had the fish and chips but left half. The chips tasted as though they had been cooked before and some were too chewy to eat and the fish was very greasy. This was such a shame because visits prior to the fire were amazing
