About The Saracens Head
Pub in the village of Warburton, Cheshire service one cooked food and home of the Steak stone. Large beer garden with children play area (indoor and outdoor).
Great service and food, I purchased the Afternoon tea online as per a recommendation from a friend. Throughout the stay the staff were extremely friendly and to hand, they did not pressure us in anyway, they also they did not hound us re the food or drinks. Thank you
My family very much enjoyed the warm welcome received on our arrival from all members of staff. The staff were all friendly, very attentive and professional throughout our visit. It was made even more special by us being allocated our own private dining area, a very nice touch indeed. Many thanks to one and all.
Manageress lady was lovely as ever but overall service very slow, food quality not what it was and it just wasn’t very clean. Atmosphere impacted by a constant stream of drinkers from the beer garden traipsing through to get drinks and go to the loo. Made for a poor experience. Felt it’s really gone down hill since opening.
We reserved a seating area for my daughter's 16th birthday meal for 20 people the service was brilliant food was excellent would defiantly recommend and will be returning again. Thank you Saracens head for making my daughter's birthday a brilliant 1.
This is the 2nd family celebration we’ve had at the pub in as many weeks. Both times the service & Friendliness from all the staff has been excellent . Thank you
Had Afternoon Tea and it was lovely
The ‘steak on a slate” is fabulous.. and the deal with the free starter and desert on a Friday is a big thumbs up.
Everything was wonderful apart from the table service we had to go up and order drinks from the bar instead of the waitress taking a drinks order (we had food and drinks on a tab)
Had a fab afternoon tea, what made it even better was the very friendly and attentive staff, Food was lovely .My husband bought the groupon voucher and my sister and I went.Really nice fresh sandwiches, great scones and lovely cakes, tea pot checked on and refilled without , young lady called Alex served us, a credit to your business, The week before we had afternoon tea at a well know local hotel, very disappointing presentation and inattentive staff when could be found. Well done Saracens Head definatly coming back 😀
Overall really good value and the food was excellent. Service wise it seemed a bit all over, didn’t get spoons, had to ask twice, nothing to wipe hands with, and was told when presenting groupon voucher it needed to be printed when instructions say app is acceptable (it was accepted however I just felt like I’d done something wrong). Only minor things and we will def return, possibly for a main meal.
First visit here but won’t be our last. Fantastic service, lovely surroundings and the food was delicious. We were celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary and my mums birthday with a family meal Ages ranged from 4-73. The Friday steak deal with free starter and dessert was exceptionally great value. Everyone enjoyed their meals which were very generous portions.
Overall a pleasant evening - food and service was excellent.
We booked saracens head because it was clean, cosy and the atmosphere was nice. My brother took the whole family for a celebratory meal and the food was lovely. The staff made all feel really welcome and they were great with the children, we also got a complementary bottle wine and my brother got a sweet and they wrote happy birthday in the chocolate. It was very good value for money.
Lovely food, good value for money. Great play area for the kids and friendly staff
Despite reserving a table, there was a little wait whilst the waitresses were chatting to each other where we were going to sit! Was a little worried we wouldn't have a table. It was v busy & the staff seemed a little flustered. Ordered drinks 1st but they still hadn't arrived when the food arrived! (2nd time we have been here & both times we got food before drinks). Ordered 2 kids meals, soup, Sunday roast & Kangeroo. All very nice. Only complaint was my roasties were a bit on the cold side & there was no English mustard. Our waitress was lovely & very accommodating to our families needs.
The only reason for 4 out of 5 for service was the time it took for the main courses to arrive following the starters. However Julie the person looking after us was spot on and deserves a special mention. There were 7 adults and two toddlers and overall we were looked after very very well. Thanks and see you again.
Lovely venue, excellent children's play area both indoor and outdoor. Food is grat and the staff are attentive and friendly.
First time there since the refurb. Absolutely brilliant. The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly, attentive and the play area is fantastic. We haven't tried the playbarn yet but we were that happy we have booked again for a fathers day treat next Sunday and were able to pick our own table which was great. I would highly recommend it to anyone
The outdoor play area is great but the food choices were terrible for vegetarians and vegans. The service was slow, they got things wrong and the overall quality of food was terrible
The food was excellent but the servings were a bit small for most of us
Wonderful service and great food. Staff were really good with the two three year olds that were with us and our new born babies. Fantastic.
Staff were very welcoming. Good food and quick service. Definitely worth the visit
Took parents for a meal last Sunday, service was very slow and food average.
