About The Ruperra Arms
150 year old village pub serving freshly produced gourmet pub food, complimented with a selection of local craft ales and beers.
A nice surprise.
We arrived at 12.25 for a booking at 12.30, the staff did not appear to ready to accept guests. Food was generally good, lacked some imagination in presentation. We asked about coffee and were told we could only get Americano, which did not suit the table, we believe a choice of coffees would be more acceptable to guests.
Very attentive and friendly staff. Pleasingly busy pub with a warm atmosphere. Food well presented and full of flavour. Highly recommended.
Fantastic meal thank you we will be back!
A wonderful Sunday lunch
I loved the flavour and presentation of every course. The tastiest meal that I've had ☺️. Superb. Thank you
Fantastic food. Look forward to visiting again.
I came here with a small group of friends and found the atmosphere along with the food, drinks, customer service and cleanliness of the pub extremely inviting, will definitely be back soon.
Little disappointed with the beef, lamb was fine. The sweets were on the small size
Excellent meal with excellent service, well done to the whole team.
Advertised 40% off main meals on a Monday including bank holidays M awaiting reply of why we did not receive this off our bill
My first visit to the Ruperra. The food was lovely and will definitely visit sgain
Fab lunch time desserts but alas we couldn’t finish with a coffee because you had no milk
Sunday lunch was delicious would definitely recommend and will return
Food was lovely but service was poor but believe it was due to being understaffed
We had a gorgeous meal for our 6th Wedding Anniversary, although we were a little disappointed on arrival as we had specifically booked a Thursday night (which luckily had landed on our actual anniversary) for the Wine and Steak night. We were informed the Steak and Wine night is on but the there is NO RED WINE! Mmm! We thought this was pretty poor show. We used to come to the Ruperra very regularly as we lived only two doors away, the lighting didn't create a romantic ambience and it felt quite cold. Being picky I know but with the food being on a high end scale now I feel this needs to be shared.
We had a delicious meal in a lovely pub. We went on a recommendation and we were delighted. Will definitely be back.
Staff were very friendly, food was amazing. Great value for money.
Came here for a family Sunday lunch and we'd definitely come back again! Food was delicious with really generous portions and service was friendly and efficient
Excellent service and a stunning meal. All are very friendly and professional.
I had read reviews about the Ruperra and they were good albeit quite old! I wanted to take family for a special treat and chose the Ruperra. I couldn’t have been more disappointed! The service was abysmal. I arrived at 13:20 for lunch at 1:30. It was 2:35 when the main course arrived! Our starter dishes were left on the table for what seemed an age, although there was a waitress wandering around, nothing in hands, looked at us and walked off. The puddings took forever to come, and not that special. The ‘cheesecake’ was a spoonful of a mousse like substance with a few biscuit crumbs sprinkled around the dish! A cheesecake? I don’t think so. Your Web site stated we had to vacate our table by three o’clock! What a hope! I live locally and got home at 4:35! Another thing, a couple came in after us and they we eating their dessert as we were waiting for our main course! I went to the bar and asked if we’d been forgotten, the young lady said she would check and in minutes the main course appeared, this told me the meals had been waiting for them to be brought out, as the meals were just warm, the Yorkshire was like leather and the roast potatoes were also difficult to cut through, with warm gravy with a skin on! I didn’t make a fuss whilst we were there as it was a gift to my family and didn’t want them to embarrass them. I paid the bill but for the first time in my life, I didn’t leave a tip as I didn’t think any part of the experience deserved one. I shall not be recommending the Ruperra and unless you improve I shall not be visiting again.
Food was amazing really enjoyed! Would definitely go back. Went a bit quiet after 10pm which for a Sat night was a surprise but all in all would highly recommend!
Food over seasoned but the fish was otherwise very well cooked. I prefer it when businesses also show the species rather than using the generic term 'fish' on their menu. However the staff did clarify it was cod when asked.
