Excellent food and value for money
Great food and good value for money with friendly staff
Pub is dog friendly in a select area that's a big plus. The waitress was very nice at 4pm on a Saturday the pub was deserted so was quiet and no screaming children. Soup and pate starters only came with a very small bread roll had to request another and no crackers for pate on the bright side the soup was nice. The prawn and scallop was very nice but it was a very small dish only had 3 prawns/scallops they were on a base of Spanish sausage that was very salty but tasted great. It was £8 tasted good just needed to be a little more. £6.50 would of been a more realistic price. The Tbone steak was a little small but it was cooked to perfection, chips were large and nice with peas on the side. Only came with 2 sub standard onion rings. Was it worth £28? No.... The steak knives were blunt what made it difficult to cut meat off around the bone. The salmon looked like it came from a supermarket from a fish bar narrow cut of horizontal fillet but somewhat understandable as this is a steak house not a fish house. I hope this helps anyone considering a visit. TLDR; Would I eat here regularly? No Would I eat here for a special occasion? Yes would consider. Stick to the steak dishes.
