Why not see for yourself just what the Royal Oak Hotel and Restaurant has to offer.
Lovely pleasant welcome, excellent choice of menu options inclusing fajitas and pizzas. Fajitas were delicious, fish was tasty, batter just a bit stodgy rather than light and crispy.
Five star as usual. Enjoyed the evening.
Lovely place, great service
We have visited The Royal Oak on several occasions and as always last nights meal and service was excellent. Thank you.
Love love love
A lovely Saturday Dinner, it was great to see The Royal Oak back up to standard - the service was excellent and the food was really good. Looking forwards to coming back soon to use the 2 for 1 voucher.
Lovely food, great service, and special requests were met when booking online. Great atmosphere also.
Service and value for money on the 2 for 1 offer can't be beaten. Lovely staff. Perhaps they could also consider a three course table dhote menu each night
The service was very friendly and personal, but on this occasion very slow which is why I didn’t rate it 5.
We had a loads of children and were accommodated brilliantly. I had to change the booking a couple of times but it wasn’t a problem. The food was great too. Thank you
A very enjoyable meal, good choice on the menu. Not very busy when we were there but still a pleasant atmosphere. Will certainly visit again.
It was de-lish and a bargain too
Enjoyable meal, nice Weetwood beer.
Lovely place and friendly staff and great service
I chose the chicken on skewers with chips. It was more like a starter than a main course and poor value for money. When I mentioned this to the waitress, another skewer and chips were brought but it was far too late as everyone had finished their meals by then. This is the first time I have been disappointed by my visit to the Royal Oak.
We love coming here, but on this occasion the food was not as we thought we had ordered, also when we enquired about a particular item on the menu for some more clarity all the waitress could quote is what we had already read on the menu, which left us no clearer to what it meant.
After having my mothers 80th Birthday dinner with you we decided to come again as food was Devine, unfortunately this time was a real letdown!, my self and partner had the same as we had at my mothers dinner, and the starters were both delicious again, but the main courses were not so good 😞 we did talk to manager about this and he dealt with us very well, for which we will try you again
Fantastic hotel, great service and food
A great night.
Excellent food in a lovely friendly environment.
Excellent all round.
I would really like for the Royal Oak to succeed in the same locale as The Morris Dancer and The Boot, but the place is not well attended, even on Fathers' Day, which probably says a lot. Our experience (and I accept that bad things happen) on the day was that one of the meals had a large black hair in it, which put the other diners on edge about their own meals. Whilst those in our group who ordered roast meals eventually enjoyed them (especially the roast beef), the chef's choice of potato for roasties or chips with the burger, was poor - they were soggy and sodden with fat. Whilst the staff dealt with our critique in a very sympathetic manner, our overall experience was not good. There is too much strong competition locally, therefore standards at this level will mean that dissatisfied customers will spread the word, and discerning customers will dine elsewhere. It's a shame, but fixable.
Lovely fresh food. Pleasant and attentive staff even the place was packed. Food took average time to arrive after ordering. Felt like it was a 'grown up' pub which is what we were looking for, sorry to those who have young children!.
Very good as usual, service good , food good !! 😊
really enjoyed my visit with family and would recommend the restaurant to others
