Great food, staff and atmosphere.
Lovely old inn. Good food and good service.
Fab food, ambience and service. Said the same on my paper feedback!
Service good, atmosphere good, drink good. Starter Mackerel average, main course steak below average and poor value for money. gluten free desserts no options.
Lovely dining room, good atmosphere and delicious food. Service was excellent too.
Excellent food and drinks. The only drawback is that parking cars is a problem.
A lovely place to dine, our favourite....
Good service along with a Great Roast meal enjoyed by the hole family
We were sat at all able between the two toilets & were subsequently knocked a few times by ladies & gentlemen passing by Also in my chicken terrine I found a round bone the size of a 1p piece!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the lunch. Thank you.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Good quality food at a sensible price.
Quite pricey for food
We always enjoy our visits to The Rock: Everything is always simply perfect and they totally understand what creates "superb customer experience."
We were very impressed with everything. The food was first class and the staff, especially Jacqui, we're friendly and welcoming.
Delicious food, well cooked and beautifully presented Good varied choice
Beautiful place, friendly staff and gorgeous surroundings. I had the roast beef and was not at all happy with it. It was served extremely rare, with lots of fatty bits and I felt it was tasteless. I don’t like my meat this rare. There was also a hard piece of carrot and chewy parsnip underneath and the gravy was very fatty with hardly any beefy taste. My husband however had the steak and was very happy with it and the desserts were amazing. I would go back but not opt for the roast.
Stayed at The Rock for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Dinner was superb, room was perfect, very clean and great facilities. Will definitely go back and spend more time exploring the beautiful area. A little gem not too far from motorway.
Lovely location. Fab food and great service.
Highly recommend this place. Lovely atmosphere, welcoming staff and excellent food. A real treat.
Lovely atmosphere, faultless service. Will definitely return.
Friendly reception , interesting surroundings and delicious food ..when it arrived! We will return , maybe for an evening visit ..and hope to find a parking space!
Lovely location. Interesting building. Attentive, friendly service, varied menu and a good choice of drinks. We found our food choices to be delicious and filling. Will definitely return.
A very pleasant lunchtime get together with old friends, enjoying a reasonably priced meal in a delightful atmosphere. The friendly staff were very happy to accommodate our need to sit together in the lounge afterwards.
Very nice meal and very friendly and attentive staff.
I’d been recommended your pub but was disappointed. My dish (the pollock with pearl barley) was bland and not a big portion - I was still hungry afterwards - very overpriced at £16.95. My friend had the ploughman’s which she enjoyed and was glad you had gluten free bread rolls to go with it, but we also felt this was overpriced for what it was. The pub was busy and there seemed to be plenty of staff on duty but the food was pretty slow to arrive.
