Comfortable, super friendly staff and superb food. Many thanks
Gave feedback on the day. Excellent.
We always enjoy our visits to The Rock Inn and the food and service is generally very good. We felt on this visit that the food wasn’t quite up to usual standard, and there seemed to be a shortage of staff, but still a very pleasant atmosphere. We’ll definitely be going back again.
Delicious food, excellent service and a charming environment. Price is at the higher end, but we were happy to pay for quality.
Lovely pub. Top quality food
Lovely cosy pub set in beautiful sceneries. Delicious meal fool of flavours. Thank you for the welcome. We have been coming a few times already and will come again.
We had a very pleasant lunch with friends. Good atmosphere, good food & service. We have been before, will come again & would recommend The Rock to friends.
Fantastic evening dining experience.
A perfect New Year's Eve meal - food, wine, service and atmosphere. The Rock is also a great family favourite in summer when visiting Dartmoor. Veyr highly recommended.
Had a lovely meal here nothing was to much trouble , food was excellent will definitely be returning again soon .
We brought 2 little children, and we seated perfectly, and there were a few toys to help us entertain. Both adults and childrens food was superb.
Excellent food and warm welcome to three generations of the family.
Just love the Xmas decs!
Excellent lunch in lovely place. Good menu to choose from and all cooked well. Service was a bit slow but we were not in any hurry so didn't matter. We'll be back.
Having not read any reviews for The Rock Inn and only from personal experience, we found the Staff very attentive, food was excellent and great value for money. Will be back.
All staff were friendly, helpful and very hard working, nothing was to much trouble. very comfortable and clean rooms. Good menu with quality well presented and cooked food. Wish we could have stayed longer, definitely will next time. Thank you all very much.
Been many times. Well worth return visits.
We had a beautiful evening. The food and service were excellent. Couldn’t fault anything.
We had a Yorkshire theme party going along for a 50th birthday celebration at lunch time . The team at the Rock were fantastic going totally over and above any expectation we had . They kindly allowed us to deviate away from their traditional menu and put a Yorkshire twist on the food . Miniature loafs / cake and chips and scallops (if your not from Yorkshire you make want to google it) which were all better than any of this traditional cuisine I have tasted in Yorkshire. The service was amazing and all the food was perfect / temperature / presentation and price . I cannot recommend the rock enough they are exceptional. If ever you are in need of exceptional dining at sensible process I don't recommend you look anywhere else.
Good food in a very special "olde coach-house" type of pub/restaurant/hotel. Will we go back? Most certainly
Delicious food, excellent service and a lovely open fire!
The last time we were at The Rock Inn, was 2011, we had a nice enough lunch there, nothing special. We decided to take our grown up kids to Dartmoor, and booked lunch here on Saturday. We were blown away by the food, and thought, for the quality of food, it was very good value. The mushroom soup starter was gorgeous, and the bread (do you bake it yourself?) was delicious. Two of us had the Bream and risotto, the others had the duck, both were amazing. Very nice service (although they were understaffed and busy). Such a great location (parking is a nightmare), and we will be heading back soon.
