About The Rhos Fynach
The Rhos Fynach, now a beautifully restored pub and restaurant with a wonderful function room for weddings and special occasions, was originally a 12th century monastery with secret tunnels linking it to the nearby tiny, 6th century, Chapel of St Trillo. This was the home to the monks who fished the weir off Rhos Point to provide the catch for the larger monastery in Conwy at the time. The oldest building in the area, built in 1181 AD, Rhos Fynach (literally meaning 'Monk's Marsh') offers haven, nourishment AND history for the weary traveller or the holidaying family!
The Rhos Fynach recently joined the Oriel Country Hotel & Spa (Denbighshire’s only 4 star hotel) and The Bridge Restaurant in St Asaph group of companies; the intention is to maintain Rhos Fynach’s old world charm whilst offering quality, fresh, delicious food for the pub, restaurant and function room.
Traditional ales and Tuesdays 9pm quiz night with a roaring fire are still one of the many fine features available making this a favourite place to rest a while. There is plenty of parking in both the onsite car park and the 2 council car parks.
Always enjoy our visits to your pub , good food , great beer ( San Miguel ) 😁👍
My husband needs extra sauce or gravy to swallow food after cancer treatment which they were very good to make sure he could enjoy his food.
Very Pleasant and helpful staff and Lovely Food.
Very dirty, needs diy especially in the woman’s toilets, grounds outside need weeding and cleaning up to look presentable, needs patio heaters and more wooden coverings We thought we were reserving somewhere nice to sit and we felt it was the worst area! Very dirty, cold, dull, no good for woman with heals, they new it was a birthday and no effort was made like at other places you go if they know, just a happy birthday table display is enough just to show they care
Brilliant, great service and lovely food in a great location - Thanks.
All good as usual. Meal and service good value. Only reason for 4 stars for atmosphere was due to some arrogant parents letting their kids play around with a beer barrel!!
Excellent service. Felt extremely safe in these uncertain times. Food was of good quality. Shame they were not serving a Christmas dinner.
This is my third visit recently, and I have arranged to return with more friends next week. Justin and the team are doing a magnificent job in difficult circumstances.
A very friendly pub and atmosphere. Only had drinks but staff welcoming and COVID-19 measures in place. I will continue to go there.
Tasty food, excellent value, friendly and efficient staff
Roast potatoes not very crispy and not tasty, green beans and sprouts overcooked, requested cranberry but none came with meal ie turkey, alot of meat (which was good) but covered contents of plate. Whole meal in general was bland. Staff friendly but we we were not asked if our meals were OK during or after our meal Pub itself nice cosy and warm, drinks expensive, cost of meal was good but was expecting a better quality
Really enjoyed our lunch
Extremely helpful, really pleasant staff, wouldn’t hesitate in recommending!!
excellent service as usual and great food at great price.
Lovely food, staff very friendly, felt very comfortable as the hygiene protocols in place were really good
Nice pub with friendly service. Food good if a limited typical pub type menu
Family visit (3 adults and 1 child) all enjoyed our Sunday roast, desserts too of course. Social distancing, service with a smile 😃 Will definitely return.
Love visiting The Fynach, great food, great surroundings and wonderful friendly staff. Can't wait to go again. Good job guys 🥰
We Love The Fynach, always get a friendly welcome, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Great atmosphere and Food is delicious. Highly recommend.
Excellent covid set up - had a lovely lunch thank you!
Very friendly and accommodating as we had 2 small dogs and a young baby. This is our second visit and won’t be our last. Food was very filling and tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful.
My husband and I had lunch yesterday. The 25% was not taken off the bill. My husband was told that it only applies between 4.00 and 7.00 pm. It does not say that on your website. We also had to wait over half an hour for our meals even though the pub was quiet. Kind regards Sue Williams
Lovely venue and we cant wait to get married at the pub 5 weeks today!
