or great food that is packed with flavour and reflective of the season, look no further than The Bridge. Our 2 AA Rosette restaurant serves a modern British menu of classic dishes, enhanced with a contemporary touch to bring out the best in the ingredients.
The Terrace Lounge and Bar, with stunning views across our grounds and moat, is a warm and inviting space which offers a place for guests to kick of their shoes and enjoy a light bite or refreshing beverage.
And with history around every corner, our medieval country house hotel offers a fitting setting to enjoy the time-honoured tradition of afternoon tea. Norton House Hotel
Had a lovely time but think there was a lot of young staff thy didn’t seem to know fully what they were doing. More training behind the scenes needed I feel for such a lovely place standards should be high
Excellent service Very good meals Recommended
Afternoon tea in a small private room was lovely. Our group had a couple of different dietary requirements and NH happy to oblige - and although there was a hiccup with the GF scones, Julia (not sure of her position) tried her very best to make up for the disappointment. Staff were attentive and accommodating. So very happy with our experience.
The place is amazing. Beautiful inside and out. Staff were very nice. We had a birthday voucher bought after attending a wedding and loved the place. Although the menu was nice I personally found the taste of the food just ok, nothing special. We had a nice time but not sure I would return for the food itself.
A very pleasant afternoon tea with a tasty selection of sandwiches and delicious cakes.
Lovely food eaten in a delightful restaurant in a beautiful setting.
Lovely reception and welcome, we were sat between two already occupied tables which was ok but there were no more guests in the room nor for the duration of our time so we didnt need to be all put in such close proximity. just made conversation a bit hushed. food was exquisite, maybe more overloaded to the sweeter things than the fabulous sandwiches which i would have like more of. coffee was lovely, maybe a couple of top ups would have been nice. all in all a very pleasant experience and will be back again sometime soon.
Wonderful afternoon tea. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. Very good value on the two for one offer.
Beautiful hotel and grounds and superb service.

Not as good as two years ago, Drinks expensive
Dear Ms Davies, Thank you for your review, we hope to welcome you again soon! With kind regards, Charlotte Horler Operations Manager
Our Afternoon Tea was very disappointing. There was confusion when we arrived about our booking. We were given menus but I had to find someone to get us drinks. The supervisor who did serve us was nice but the food was worst than poor. I've eaten in the restaurant many times - I thought it would be an ideal place for an afternoon tea with an elderly relative before Christmas. Borderline fresh sandwiches probably made earlier in the day. The small burger on the savoury tea was so dry it just broke apart. Stale looking small pieces of what like shop bought cakes and dry, crumbly scones. The cream was clearly put into a dish the day before - it had gone dry and the jam almost had solidified in the dish!! There was a wedding on which may have put pressure on the kitchen but honestly you should be embarrassed to serve such poor quality and poorly presented food.
We were welcomed warmly but the room was cold and no fire was on which should of been a feature of the wonderful hotel. The menu had 2 options of savoury and traditional, the traditional came out so we had no other option. We weren’t offered a top up of tea which we have at other places of this quality. We couldn’t eat all the cakes and asked to take home the remainder. The gentleman bought a box to the table rather than take the remainder away and box up and bring to the table. It my seem petty but when you charge £32.50 per head you expect the best standards
Considering it was afternoon tea there was no pretty china or cake stands integral to the occasion . The dining room was cold and no Christmas music . Cakes were average . I also telephoned on the morning to requesting if possible any little add ons as my friend who treated me is terminally ill . Nothing was done .
The hotel was amazing the afternoon tea and staff were fantastic will defiantly recommend to family and friends
Meal good but could have been hotter. Staff pleasant and helpful. Prices expensive.
Vegetarian sandwich fillings were disappointing.
Afternoon tea pre Xmas celebrations for myself and my friend. Lacked atmosphere sandwiches below par cakes were all the same texture little variation clotted cream was hard. Scones were good. We were not offered a menu till we asked. Told the waiter my friend is pescetarian but still offered vegetarian sandwiches which were sent back and replaced. We did tell waitress our experience was not good and she said she would feedback to management. Have had many afternoon tea experiences this was not what you would expect for a 4star hotel.
Disappointed in the cheesecake. Hoping to have a selection of cakes not just cheesecakes. Mince pies were nice. Sandwiches were fresh but dull. Service was extremely slow. Although we had the 241 offer, I’ve had better experiences at Fawsley Hall, Northamptonshire.
Staff were a bit off hand in directing me to table. The other guests had been seated for around 20minx and had not been offered a drink and they felt ignored. When afternoon tea was served we felt it was our fault that table for 4 was too small to allow the two cake stands to fit on it and one was placed on the floor to floor to the side of us, I did suggest they pulled another table (empty) to the side of us to allow more room but this was ignored. The festive tea was lovely but apart from the mince pie and turkey And cranberry sandwich it was not overtly festive however it was very tasty. The Xmas decorations were sparse and the table decorations looked rather sad and tired. Comparatively to another local hotel I have visited I felt this fell short of what I had expected.
Had to ask for tea spoons, coffee too strong and not very hot. Sandwiches we have had much better at other afternoon teas. Cakes were very nice. Charged the full price until we advised waiter who then changed incorrectly again and apologised saying there were various prices at Christmas.
Appalling service, terrible food . Will never return . This hotel used to be wonderful, unfortunately not any more . Very disappointed.
Staff were very welcoming and friendly.we were booked in for an afternoon tea which was very tasty
I received a voucher from my work colleagues for my birthday. I arrived with my friend on Saturday 30/11/19 at New Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield. My afternoon tea was booked for 3pm. We were seated at our table and had to wait fifteen minutes for a pot of coffee. At 3.55pm we had still not received our afternoon tea and if I had not gone up to the person on duty and asked where it was I am not sure what time it would have arrived, a table of 4 come in after us and they received theirs within 20 minutes.
Not enough tea had to ask for refills. Scones rock hard. Other than that good service nice hotel and value for money. Had better but certainly had worse afternoon tea
