Definitely going back. Wonderful food and atmosphere.
The afternoon tea was lovely, will definitely be going again and would highly recommend.
Starter was luke warm Main course veg was cold , chips burnt Ordered bottle of wine and had to go to bar to remind staff Waitress very apologetic ,manager not interested Went for 10th anniversary dinner will not be going back
The staff were very friendly and helpful
A first class meal freindly staff and a good ambience will definately book agaion
Loved the ambience, surroundings, and the table was set beautifully with beautiful mismatched china, including small cups and saucers for the children. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the selection of cakes delicious. It would have, however, been good to have a little more variety in the sandwiches, especially for the 'vegis' Maybe egg and cress, or humous?
We had a lovely evening celebrating my mother’s birthday with my niece who had just completed her Degree. Horsley Lodge was the perfect venue, the food was as good as I remembered it and our host Nick took great care to make our evening special. Thankyou!
Could do with more variety of snacks and not enough sandwiches
Afternoon tea quite poor for the price. Nice scones though.
Beautiful views from the restaurant.
The roast potatoes let the meal down.
The restaurant was very quiet, only 3 tables booked on a Saturday evening at 7.30-8.00 and within an hour there were only us! There was no background music and whilst very loud intrusive music is not welcome it would have helped to give some atmosphere. The menu was bar food and not restaurant choices. My husbands salmon was not cooked and it was raw on the inside his replacement risotto was very salty and the rice undercooked. The Gammon and Pork dishes were satisfactory. The Service was good. Horsley Lodge is a lovely setting and the staff are nearly always helpful however the food and lack of atmosphere spoiled the occasion.
A very poor Afternoon Tea it is actually the worst one I have had.You need to take a leaf out of Morley Hayes as theirs is superb !! The scones were the nicest part albeit the jam was a liquid ? I got the feeling the chef had run out of nice cakes and we were left with odds and sods ? On a positive the staff were all polite and friendly.
Brilliant Service. We had the sausage and Mash, and the black pudding mash potato and it was absolutely amazing. Will definitely book again soo.
The meal was for my mothers 87 birthday, the staff were extremely helpful, there when you needed them though never hovering or rushing. Food was excellent with a pleasant view and atmosphere in the restaurant. Made the meal a huge success.
A large family group including kids so ideal being placed in the conservatory - fabulous view for the adults and less need to be shushed and confined to seats for the kids - perfect. Has become family tradition to have champagne breakfast on both Mother’s and Father’s Day hoping for the conservatory again next time 😁
Hi - whilst we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch with you - I would say that the feeling was that the menu is a bit limited and lacks 'special' touches. Also, the two vegetarians had only one choice. The service was also a little slow - probably due to the wedding taking place
Everyone was so nice, friendly and professional. The service was excellent and at no point did we feel rushed. The food was amazing I can only say positive things about our visit. Thank you for making my daughters 18th birthday breakfast memorable 😊
We visited on Saturday evening and the restaurant was very quiet which was a shame as the meal we had was really lovely. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful and the food and drinks were excellent. The restaurant is well laid out and the views are lovely. No complaints whatsoever. Will certainly be returning soon.
Lovely afternoon having tea here with friendly staff and delicious food and drinks. Highly recommended.
Had a lovely relaxing breakfast in lovely surroundings
Excellent Sunday lunch as always. We took friend with us and they enjoyed the meal and the surroundings so much. Our waiter, Nick, was very professional and personable.
Lovely meal for my Dads 85th birthday. Great service and beautiful food cannot fault this venue. Came for my parents diamond wedding anniversary in March which was very memorable and the service has once again lived up to expectations.
All four enjoyed a super duper Afternoon Tea, beautifully presented and tasted even better!! We’ll be back!! 😀
We enjoyed our meal. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. We would visit again.
