About The Regency Club
The Regency Club; an award winning Bar and Grill situated in Queensbury, North West London easily accessible by the Jubilee Line.
The Regency Club prides itself for serving Authentic Indian cuisine of the highest of standards in a casual dining environment.
Known for being the place to visit for a "homely dining experience" whether it be for a business lunch or dinner with friends.
As a vegetarian I think there are better places to go in the local area. However I think the mogo dish you serve is probably the best in the area. All the other dishes are so so. The service was fine. Nothing went wrong but there was nothing that stuck out to me either.
The Regency has always been one of my go to restaurants for many years. You can always rely on the Regency team to deliver fantastic food and impeccable service. If your very lucky, like I was you may receive an impromptu massage from PM... After a busy day in the office it was well received. I would also like to add the refurbishment new layout is great! See you soon
We have not been guests since the refurbishment, which looks nice and has more comfortable seating. We recommended dining with our friends in Regency club, for which we are sadly disappointed and embarrassed, for £225. The drinks service was very slow, cocktail were watery with lots of ice, my beer came without a top of lemonade which I asked for. The kebabs came wet in a puddle of water which made them soggy. We were disappointed there were no chicken lollipops on the menu so we ordered crispy chicken wings, which did not, arrived although I saw the waiter order it on his tablet. The older waiter blamed the younger waiter, saying he was still training, but I said that it looks like he ordered it correctly as I had asked him to check the tablet which I clearly saw, so there was obviously a problem in the kitchen. The waiters were not communicating properly. No apology for the wings not coming, however there was no apology, many decent restaurants would give it as a sorry without charge. The Rogan josh was below average and the pieces of lamb were so small we had to search for them in the sauce which was also watery. The chicken tikka also had tiny pieces of chicken; the chicken makni had long stringy pieces of chicken making it hard to eat with Nan. The food seems to have gone downhill from before, which is disappointing, because I and my friends would travel from up to a 50 mile radius to meet there. I feel like your establishment may not be my first choice for family and friends get togethers. As I am very disappointed with the food standards, service and overall experience.
Had a great time catching up with friends, and watching the football, whilst eating tasty food in a friendly atmosphere. Love the the new look of the venue! Thanks!
Well worth a visit, good tasty food with a friendly service.
Booking tables is difficult as never available
We love coming here... especially for the starters. Chicken wings, garlic mogo and lamb cutlets are real favs!! Garlic chilli prawns used to be our fav, but since the renovation it isn’t as spicy and flavour some as it used to be. In terms of value.. prawn dish and the cocktails are a bit pricey... Service is fantastic though..
The food arrived within 3/4mins of ordering....this was not fresh cooked food..it was prepared and microwave heated up.....My husband had the Rogan josh it was so salty that he was unable to finish it. When we asked to see the manager to bring it to his attention his reply was sorry and thank you for bringing it to our attention....he did apologize and we were but it was robotic....not good enough. It was our first time back since refurbishing..we have been eating there for approximately 20 years prior refurbishment but sadly we won't be back again due to the lack of interest shown when expressing our thoughts on our order. I had the biryani it was ok...nothing special.
Enjoyed the evening and food until the bill came for double drinks we did not order. Group of three. One of us ordered only single drinks every order yet they charged double. When questioned, the bar man said we received double even though it was half compared to the other drinks. They adjusted the bill only after several arguments with several staff. Yet the following bill was higher as they billed up on coke as if we would not notice. Questioned the waitress who took the original orders and she confirmed one guest only ordered singles. Yet after discussing with bar staff they continued to stand off we received doubles. Refused to pay and walk out then senior managers apologised and said it was a mistake and adjusted the bill. Very disappointing to say the least!!
The place looks great since the refit and the staff were friendly and attentive. Great place to eat at
We had a lovely meal last night but did find that the staff when tidying up the cutlery were making far too much noise, this is when they were placing cutlery back in a drawer that happened to be behind us as well as when emptying washed cutlery. It did definitely make a mark on our conversations and needed a feedback. Thanks Nisha.
Best in Europe !!
The new Regency Club is no longer like the old one and you are treated like on a conveyor belt. This time limit booking is really unpleasant. You get a feeling that the management wants you to come and get out. We asked for the starters first and main meal after but we were told that this would not be possible within 1 hour slot and so were served with all together which was not nice when you have gone out for a meal to enjoy. It was not a nice experience. Won't come back to Regency again.
Really disappointed last Saturday, Rahul. My partner, my friend and I came on Saturday evening to enjoy a meal, and whilst we enjoyed the starters, the mains didn’t go down well at all. We ordered a butter chicken which lacked the sauce/gravy it should has, it was way too dry and didn’t go well with nan or rice due to the lack of curry. If we knew it was so dry, we’d have ordered something else. Really disappointed because I didn’t expect it to be that bad, a restaurant of Regency’s reputation really should have this perfected because it’s such a simple dish. Apart from that, I can’t complain on the service or atmosphere, they were good.
Veg food had no taste very blend.
Great Re vamp of the club! Prices on menu gone up though :(
6 of dined at the Regency on Saturday night. I must say I'm always impressed at the food quality, service, and ambiance of the place. If you want some good tasting, authentic Indian food, this is where you will find it. Can’t fault it, to be honest. Will be back again with the family shortly.
To noisy Hard to get service Always expecting a booking and if you turn up unexpectedly you still dont get a seat and are turned away Customer service needs to be improved
I use to order lunch from the Regency years ago and returned for a meal yesterday after many years away. I was not disappointed! The food was as amazing as I remembered, fresh and very flavorsome! The best I've ever tasted! The service was excellent, cocktails great and good family atmosphere. Very busy! Thank you Regency for consistently producing great food and service. Keep up the great work you do
I was very much looking forward to visiting Regency post the refit. The refit looks fab! I did think it would take away the charm of Regency, but I can say it still has it with a twist. It was great to see cocktails on the menu too. However, the food is the point why the mass always go to Regency and I have to admit that I was a little disappointed. Why you may ask..... well I loved Regency for the spicey food and post the refit it’s not as spicy as it used to be. I remember when the chicken pili pili was hot and now I would say it was medium in hotness. When I asked the waiter he advised the food has been toned down to suit the non Asians that come to Regency. Honestly..........what rubbish. The majority of customers you see in Regency as Asian so why spoil the receipe?
A hair was found in our food (we think it was from the salad)! The staff were apologetic and gave us a round of free drinks which seemed fair. It's not the end of the world and accidents do and can happen - how staff react is the test of a place that cares about it's customer's and their overall experience. The food overall was good and the new decor was fab. New seating booths are comfy and inviting.
Fantastic service considering there were 19 of us. Food was absolutely great from starters through to main.
Very good service from Alexandra. Delicious Food.
