About The Red Lion at Milton Bryan
We are situated in the gorgeous Bedfordshire countryside located in a very small village called Milton Bryan.
Food is a big part of The Red Lion, We are firm believers in using local produce where possible, always fresh and prepared with care. We aim to offer a diversity of modern British cuisine along side more traditional pub classics. We move with the seasons so please be sure to come and try our latest menus and daily specials as they change throughout the year! We must mention that we have a fantastic selection of beers and wines too!
There is something for everyone on our wine list but if you are not sure then we are on hand to help! We offer cocktails using only premium spirits as well as non alcoholic cocktails and our Gin menu is amazing.
The team brings their vast experience and know-how, combined with their imaginative creative food and high standards of friendly service to offer a great experience every time you visit us.
We have a children’s menu available and we also offer many of our dishes from our Restaurant menu as children’s portions.
We also have a large garden to the side of the pub. Great for a drink or to enjoy a spot of lunch in the sun. Bring the kids and dogs as we’ve made sure its safe and secure.

A lovely evening, great food and lots of choice. I love that the menu is always changing.
Really lovely meal, the steak was cooked to perfection and the pork belly was apparently lovely too,
Great food and service
The food was absolutely amazing. The service could have been a little quicker but the food and value for money was brilliant. Can’t wait to go again and would highly recommend it. Thanks for a wonderful experience
Couldn’t fault the food. Service was a little slow and after taking our pudding order, it was forgotten about and we had to remind them. Also, waitress gave two of us soup spoons for pud! As it was a hot day, we decided to go outside to eat desert but all the tables were reserved. Instead we sat at a picnic table for the next hour or so. In that time, not all,the reserved tables were taken and so we could have easily sat there whilst we ate pudding. I’m not sure why they were all reserved for so long.
Menu very limited
Such a beautiful restaurant, very cosy, clean and welcoming. The lady who served us was very nice, very attentive but only when needed giving us a great opportunity to catch up over a wonderful meal. We both had the special which was sea bass fillets and they were cooked perfectly. Look forward to visiting again.
My father I come regularly to the Red Lion when I am visiting him from London. We both had a delicious Sunday roast and the service was excellent.
very nice venue , clean and light. food was fine if a little overpriced . service very good .
Lovely garden setting , lovely food .
Food outstanding as always!
A lovely atmosphere and off the beaten track. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. The food was delicious and perfect portion size. This was my third visit and it's been lovely everytime.
How about a Menu change ? I have been a few times with friends and family and know the menu off by heart. A few specials would be a good idea too. Thanks Julia
Great thank you. We really enjoyed our Easter Sunday lunch.
Good food and service.
The food we had was very nice, although I did have to send my curry back because it wasn't hot enough (in temperature). It came back hotter. The service was good but then the pub was not busy. The young waitress was very attentive. Overall an enjoyable afternnon.
I regularly come here to take my father to lunch when I am visiting him from London. I have always found the service, atmosphere and food very good. I particularly enjoy coming for Sunday lunch.
Lovely lunch on a chilly day. Our 6 year old loved her medium cooked steak 🥩
4 of us had a great meal and service 17th March. It always is very very good and will be back very soon. Pete Langford
Have eaten here before and had excellent service. Not the same this time. Had to wait over 30 mins to get a drink and even then I had to chase them up. When I booked I had said this was for my daughters birthday. The was no acknowledgement of this. Service lacked any warmth. Even a smile would have been a start. Service did not match the food which was lovely. My wife had the fish of the day which she said was the best fish she had ever eaten. Bit pricey at £250 for four of us but we did have a couple of bottles of wine and a few other drinks so I didn’t mind that so much.
First time visiting since changed hands. Went for Mother's day evening dinner. Food was excellent and surprisingly quick. Very nice indeed
Good food good service, nice country pub!!
Food was delicious & staff very friendly. Little more choice of desserts would be great!
Great service on a busy mother’s day, nothing was too much trouble. Food was really delicious, not one complaint from our table of 5 adults and 3 children. We will certainly be back
Our table was next to an old entrance door and was a bit draughty.
