About The Red Lion at Milton Bryan
We are situated in the gorgeous Bedfordshire countryside located in a very small village called Milton Bryan.
Food is a big part of The Red Lion, We are firm believers in using local produce where possible, always fresh and prepared with care. We aim to offer a diversity of modern British cuisine along side more traditional pub classics. We move with the seasons so please be sure to come and try our latest menus and daily specials as they change throughout the year! We must mention that we have a fantastic selection of beers and wines too!
There is something for everyone on our wine list but if you are not sure then we are on hand to help! We offer cocktails using only premium spirits as well as non alcoholic cocktails and our Gin menu is amazing.
The team brings their vast experience and know-how, combined with their imaginative creative food and high standards of friendly service to offer a great experience every time you visit us.
We have a children’s menu available and we also offer many of our dishes from our Restaurant menu as children’s portions.
We also have a large garden to the side of the pub. Great for a drink or to enjoy a spot of lunch in the sun. Bring the kids and dogs as we’ve made sure its safe and secure.

another great visit to the Red Lion with friends! the steak and ale pie is awesome! lovely pub and atmosphere. recommended
Food: What the Black Horse (Woburn) used to be 5-10yrs ago, superb, delicious, couldn’t fault it. I had the pork belly, which was one of the best pork belly dishes I’ve had in a long time! Also great wine list, with a wonderful by the glass choice - great to see!! Service: Waiting staff were mostly good, seemed a bit rushed but coped. Main issue was speed of service from the kitchen. We sat at 7:45pm, left at 09:30pm but sadly not having had the opportunity for dessert as had somewhere else we needed to be at 09:45pm. Normally wouldn’t‘ve been an issue for us (very happy to wait for decent food!), but on this occasion had the food come out a BT quicker, we would definitely have had three courses! Other than that, a wonderful evening, we shall definitely be returning, because we would like pudding, as well as to try everything else on the menu! Well done team, great to have another decent eatery to go to in the area!!
Another lovely meal at The Red Lion, very tasty food, great service and lovely atmosphere! This is one of our favourite restaurants and wecome back here time and time again and are never disappointed.
Our meal was delicious and good value for money. The service we recieved was friendly and attentive and I would certainly visit the Red Lion again.
Welcoming, staff attentive and helpful, food excellent.
The food was good but I do think the fillet steak was over priced
We had a lovely evening meal for my husbands birthday. The staff were very kind and friendly. Our meal was delicious! We very much enjoyed the food, outstanding steak. Will definitely visit again and recommend to others. Thank you
Food was great (again), service not so (again). Unfortunately won’t be returning for this reason
Fantastic first experience
This is a really great English gastro pub! Fabulous food and service in a delightful village setting.
I have emailed you my complaints as we were not happy at all on Thursday evening with the poor service for my mums 50th birthday.
Great venue for dinner with friends and family. Lovely village surroundings.
booked a table for lunch on the 1/08/2018 as a ceoliac I was already aware of the very limited choice of meals without gluten. I anticipated having to settle for fish and chips with gluten free batter only to be informed the fish delivery had not arrived that day!!!! I asked if the duck could be served without the jus the waitress returned to inform me that was not possible as the duck was already coated possible indicating something already prepared in advance. Wishing for a hot meal and not prepared to pay the high cost for a steak I settled for the curry served without any bread, it was bland and warm
Really lovely place to be. Food is beautiful and plenty of it.
It was lovely, coming back again soon.
We frequent the Red Lion quite often and whilst the location is excellent, the pub itself delightful and the food typically good! It is continuously let down by its poor service and inexperienced staff! This is a real shame because greater attention to detail, better training and mentoring of the ever changing young staff would turn what is a delightful pub into a real gem. You do not have to go far to see how others are achieving far superior levels of service, knowledge and understanding of the service industry. I appreciate it is difficult to find good experienced staff but improving overall standards of service would pay back in spades.
lovely relaxing atmoshere
All good apart from the slightly awkward and embarrassing faux pas with the bill. (Given the wrong one)
Wonderful food. We both enjoyed our 36th wedding anniversary meal. Will definitely be returning again
A very relaxed and informal atmosphere. The food was excellent and the menu was varied without being overwhelming. Well presented food. Will definitely return!
A lovely setting for lunch. Service very friendly and efficient. Definitely would return for an evening meal.
Disappointed in the presentation of the Cocktail i received. To pay £8 and get it in a wine glass with loads of ice is not the Margarita i am used to receiving. However the roast dinners were more than acceptable.
