All our food is freshly prepared and cooked to order. Our Chef is passionate about traditional pub food with the best in quality and flavour.
A good evening
We booked the wrong Red Lion by mistake. However, the food was very tasty, good service and tables well organised.
Always a pleasure to eat and drink here. Lovely relaxed place, no hassle to eat up and go, unlike some other places. We will be back !
Enjoy dining at the Red Lion, the food and atmosphere - always very good and the staff are extremely polite, friendly and very efficient.
Excellent lunch. Very well organised as far as Covid 19 safe Delicious well cooked food
Very tasty food friendly staff lovely evening
Sunday Dinner excellent as usual. Staff friendly and efficient. All round great experience.
Excellent service, with attention to detail. Food was delicious. We booked for Boxing day and will be back between now and then!
Menu choices are somewhat limited compared to past experience at both The Red Lion and The Woodman. In spite of The Red Lion imposing very good protective measures, the atmosphere in the pub remains warm and welcoming. We will continue to be regular visitors but visits will be dependent on knowing the limited choice of dishes.
Loved it, relaxed, friendly, busy, great staff. Really helpful.
Keep doing what you are doing.
Have visited here a few times recently and have always had a good experience. Staff are always welcoming and friendly and have time for a chat with you. The Red Lion is how a pub should be. Always lovely food (especially the desserts) and a really good atmosphere which they've managed to maintain even during these difficult times.
Good food, service and atmosphere 👌
Excellent in all respects. Service, menu and ambiance all score highly. Would certainly recommend.
Service and food was amazing, everything was up to standard, very good cleanliness and had amazing service of a specific member of staff, I didn't catch her name but she amazing
Fabulous meal and great atmosphere great 👍
Service not that good and staff not that attentive. Greeted by "have you been told what is off the menu (a number of items by the way)?" We were not asked if we wanted more drinks after sitting for a while with empty glasses. food expensive. Dressed crab salad turned out to be mix of "crab meat" served in scollop shell. Not that appetising overall. Paper menus looked recycled and not new. Maybe consider laminating in order to sanitise after use. Good effort in the current COVID climate but must try harder we would say.
Food was lovely. Service was slow considering amount of clientele. Difficult times appreciated.
One of the few pubs in the area we hadn't tried before and now the one we wished we'd about a long time ago. Food, drink and service we're all exceptional
I have visited the red lion many times and it is always most enjoyable.
A very nice place to have a lovely meal.
Pity the pie or meat puddings weren’t available on Tuesday.
We enjoyed our visit to the Red Lion...the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive
Considering I booked “ by mistake” everything turned out very well. It’s a shame you cannot bring small dogs into the bar areas to eat so we left ours in the car. The food was a very good standard and excellent value as we came on gov.com Wednesday! I probably wouldn’t pay £12.95 otherwise for scampi and fries.
