About The Red Lion
Located in the beautiful village of Bletchingley The Red Lion has become a very popular destination pub and eating house.
All our food is freshly prepared and cooked to order. Our Chef is passionate about traditional pub food with the best in quality and flavour.
Excellent service, first class food and brilliant entertainment Highly recommended.
Vastly reduced menu, chicken burger tasteless. The pub has recently undergone refurbishment and is very nice but at what cost?
We had a lovely Sunday lunch and it was the first time my friends had been . They said how lucky I was to have such a great pub on my doorstep The today was delicious and home made desserts were very good
foodnwas very good and good portions. Staff were friendly and helpful, the only criticism is the service for drinks and bill was slow. I would recommend the Red Lion and I would go back.
Brilliant as ever
Chas and Dave Music Night was amazing. Love the pie and mash nights!
Great venue with friendly staff, good food and an amazing tribute band.
Another brilliant night thank you
Always find the service excellent, friendly warm and welcoming pub. Food is a little expensive but worth it.
First class service as always
We visit regularly - and the service and food are always very good.
Lovely food and lovely staff
The lunchtime menu seems to have less choice than previously. But the food was well cooked and tasty.
Very disappointed thought it was Rock and Roll night instead it was Tom Jones We saw the real Tom Jones at Hampton Court. So didn’t want to see a look alike And friend had sausage and mash and she said sausage were hard so not your best night
I booked the Red Lion to take my weekend visitors to and they thoroughly enjoyed both the Sunday lunch and the atmosphere in the pub. We were seated at the table I had requested when I booked and hoped it would be available. The team were friendly and the food good as usual. Best was that my visitors have asked that I take them back to Red Lion next time they visit.
SUNDAY ROAST WAS NOT A FRESH JOINT ! BUT FREEZER FOOD NOT GOOD FOR £14 95 WOULD NOT RUSH BACK OVER THE LAST 20 YEARS HAVE BEEN AN OCCASIONAL VISITOR , BUT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME IVE THOURGHT ,,,.... was that good ????
Friendly service and excellent food
Friendly bar staff good service.
I visited on Thursday curry day. Best curry I’ve ever had. Very friendly staff.
We had a group of 29 people who all very much enjoyed the evening. Initially there had been a lack of communication regarding table layout and a couple of other minor issues which we resolved relatively quickly but the food and staff were, as always, very satisfactory.
we met up with frends/family at the Red Lion as it's very convenient for us all to get to from Surrey, East Sussex & Kent they are open all day for food - which is always excellent. They are always busy, friendly efficient service & good atmosphere. Lovely Village
Went for Sunday lunch and it was not what we expected. The standard of food is normally excellent but today, it was simply mediocre. My wife's meal was cool and the flat bread was stone cold. My tatty’ s were OK but were overwhelmed by the dreaded broccoli. Service was OK but generally not up to par, I’m afraid.
First time at your pub the food was fantastic a great evening !!! See you in November at Elvis
Nice pub, nice food.
Food was well cooked and presented. If I have one criticism it would be that the starters were too big! The problem this caused was that not all of us could do full justice to the main course and we could only manage a coffee (shame the coffee machine was broken as those that wanted cappuccino were disappointed) Would definitely recommend this pub restaurant, the food is excellent.
