We visited last month and it was 5 stars all round. Something has changed and the food, service and quality was way below par. The manager did explain that suppliers had changed but that should not affect service. Will give them another go later in the year as it may sort itself out.
Great place as we have small children great for them space to play a plenty to occupy them we wasn’t rushed had a pleasant meal great
Lovely meal and reasonably priced
Had a table booked for 9 people, Sunday roasts were lovely and service was good. Definitely would go back again 👍🏼
There was 8 diners in our party so we didn't expect super quick service. Starters were fantastic and couldn't fault them. Bake in box cheese, prawn cocktail and squid. Every one of us loved the starter. The mains were of very good quality the only real fault food wise was the burger, it was over cooked and dry but had a very lovely taste. The service was very slow and clumsy occasionally but the server did inform us they were short staffed that night. A few item were missed from the meal and a whole meal was missing but when we notified the server it was served to us in just a few minutes. All in all we had a very pleasurable meal and could only really complain about the speed of things but due to lack of staff that couldn't be helped.
Totally disappointed with the visit - food and service all poor - I was actually embarrassed to have brought people to the restaurant. I have previously used the Quicken Tree many time for lunch and dinner - this will be my very last visit. We were provided with 3 menus for 12 of us - in the end we went and found our own. Pretty much the same with drinks too we were not offered any table service at all. I have an allergy to onions and asked for the salad to be onion free - I was instantly ill there was some cross contamination clearly whether on the knife or chopping board. Quite a few of the party were not well the following day and during the night. Including my husband who was sick. When we spoke to the staff to discuss the food - it was clearly a waste of time they were not interested - there were other diners in the restaurant who were also having issues with the food one member of staff was heard to say " im going home in a minute" clearly had enough of a very bad night. Totally and utterly disappointed with an evening that was to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday and embarrassed that I brought family here on my recommendation !
Lovely place and nice food. Slight issue with my steak but it was sorted straight away.
The food we had was good but we ordered roast pork and all the trimmings and realised after we had finished and saw the other meals had come out that ours had no stuffing or crackling! Had to ask for sauces, was not offered any, also was not asked if our meal was ok. Sent glasses back twice as they were dirty and sent my spoon back which had food on it. When we said that we had no stuffing or crackling the waitress apologised but still bought a full bill out, so we asked for complementary coffee which she checked would be ok! I was really disappointed, I have eaten here before and have always been pleased, I recommended it to my friend and he drove from Evesham to meet me. We had 2 courses and a bottle of wine. What has happened to the service, it wasn't even particularly busy. I felt slightly embarrassed that i had recommended it. The staff were pleasant enough but in no way attentive and it was difficult to grab their attention. Not a great experience.
brilliant ambience, polite & friendly staff with excellent food. Rhys x
Magnificent Sunday dinner, you won’t find better anywhere in the area that’s for certain.
Excellent food and nice wine. Service was good despite it being a busy Sunday lunchtime. We will be back.
Fantastic afternoon tea - lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and yummy food
The food was fantastic the only downside was there was no black pepper
Amazing mash potato, peppercorn sauce and steak !
Service was at times slow and appeared staff were disorganised Need to sharpen up customer experience skills
Was a birthday lunch with party of 6. Had to wait 30 minutes for the table. We had varying roasts and food arrived cold, returned three times and each time cold. Spoke to Alum, apparently one of the managers, who stated only people out of 300 to complain and was not going to give discount. He continued to be unprofessional and rude. Never asked or expected discount but assumed that is what we wanted. We have had various functions at this venue and never had an issue. Will not be returning or recommending. A birthday not to be forgotten!
What a fantastic afternoon/evening we had here, the kids loved it and played solid for 4 hours, food was delicious, hot and quick service. Would definitely recommend especially for families with children, the play bus is great.
Really nice setting and food was amazing just very slow service and the food took ages to come out. We got asked for our table back at 5:15 according to the email but we had only just had our Mains so definitely wouldn't have been able to do this. I also asked for the bill and after 25 minutes I got up and paid.
Very nice pub in a fantastic location. Great service from friendly staff. The food was a bit slow to arrive despite the pub not being very busy however when it did arrive it was worth the wait. We ordered for the kids first and their food was quick to arrive. Excellent value for money overall.
Severly slow service. Average food . Sat with dirty plate for over an hour and half. Only 2 staff serving. Wont be returning
We booked a table online. When we first arrived we had to wait to long to be greeted and where told be with you in a minute but the gentleman didn’t come he was obviously rushed off his feet. The same when we seated we had to wait to get menu’s. There was no drinks menu unfortunately. The service did get better after we ordered and didn’t have to wait too long for our food which was delicious.
Always great food and service, and be if our favourite places to eat
We went for our wedding menu tasting and the food and service was lovely. Can't wait for the wedding now. Thank you
We visited last Sunday and were disappointed. Firstly we had to ask the for a menu as we were sat waiting a while (not a good start). Then when our main meals came I noticed my vegetarian lasagne had a piece of meat on the side of my plate. At no point during our food did the waitress come and ask if everything was ok. That should always happen when you go out to eat. We sat waiting ages with our main meals sat waiting for them to be cleared away. The waitress took our plates and no dessert menu was offered. I mentioned about the meat on the plate and she said she would let the chef know. We had planned on having desserts and sitting outside whilst our children played and having another drink or coffee. After waiting for too long I approached the till and told the staff member the customer services wasn’t good and the above. No dessert or complimentary coffee or drink was offered. I paid the bill and no receipt was issued the staff member just walked away, no apology. The waitress that served our table asked if my meal had been taken off the bill. I said it hadn’t. I then mentioned the above to the waitress. She apologised and seemed embarrassed. She gave me my receipt and we left. We will not be revisiting again.
