Very slow ordered drinks waited 20 mins still no drinks so went up bar myself food n desserts was well delayed aswell waited over 30 mins for just the puddings after dinner which I ordered same time as my starters I was on my own with 3 children aged from 20 months upto 10 yrs old
Staff were arguing the whole time , service was slow , ran out of beer draught and bottle , staff disinterested was told they were busy and would have to wait . Tiny portion of vegetables only enough for two not four . Very tense atmosphere.
Lovely food lovely atmosphere lovely evening had by all
Great food, you need to advertise more to the get the punters in. Offer some deals and you will get the initial customer in who will come back if it’s good. Get the fun bus outside for the kids too.
Very good Sunday lunch. Also provides a vegetarian option. We will be back.
Attended for afternoon tea with my mum. It was our first time visiting and we were extremely satisfied by the service, food and overall atmosphere. The place is beautiful, although we live local it felt like we were so far away. We were that impressed we are going to come back with our families to stay over. I really enjoyed our visit and will be visiting again on a regular basis.
Great food excellent service
Food and service great. music too loud and dreadful. Did ask when we arrived for it to be turned down but could not tell the difference.
Lovely food, great for the kids to have fun and play.
Food was ok, service was really slow and atmosphere was kinda strange. Couldn’t quite make this place out.
I’ve always had good service and food on my visits and hopefully that will continue.
Service was not up to it's usual standard. We waited 30 mins for drinks order to arrive and our meal order to be taken. After another 45 mins our first course arrived. Waitress said that the order hadn't been sent through to the chef.
We arrived at the restaurant early and waited at the wait to be seated sign for approximately 15 minutes where we were ignored by several members of staff who walked past and round us. It did not appear to be too busy either otherwise i may have been able to understand. You couldnt have missed us with a double pushchair and baby whinging that needed to be fed. So appalled by the service we left and went elsewhere.
Though we arrived on time and restaurant was quiet, it took 30 mins for a round of drinks to arrive and nearly an hour for food. We were then politely asked to vacate our table after 90 mins and have our dessert in the bar. We chose this restaurant for the sole reason they had Children’s entertainment in the form of a bouncy castle and a fun bus. Neither of these were available as they said they were too busy to set it up. Just a very disappointing lunch with excited children who left bored. Never again. Not even an apology.
Me and my mother in law came in for a taster meal for an event we have in June and thought the food was incredible, we even got to chat with the chef after about meal choices who was more than happy to listen to our ideas, we felt very welcome and thought the service and setting were great, thank you for having us.
Lovely as always! Fave food
It was very busy as there were lots of parties happening but the staff did their best to ensure we had what we needed. The lady in charge was lovely and when she noticed our drinks hadn't arrived she immediately informed the bar staff and they brought them straight over. We stayed for hours and had a lovely day.
Yet another fantastic experience dining at The Quicken Tree. Thank you to all staff for providing a friendly and attentive service, we will be back soon.
Very enjoyable lunch. Good size portions and well cooked and presented. This was my third visit to the Quicken Tree, and I hope to revisit many times more.
Delicious food and top presentation
Slightly slow to be seated, but after that, very attentive.
We had a very disappointing lunch, 3 adults, 2 children, we waited a very long time for our food and tables who ordered after ours got theirs first. When our food did come, the adults food was bought out first, one was wrong as there was no cheese on the jacket potato so we asked for it to be added, the other jacket potato that was ordered was nearly cold, we waited about 10 minutes then for the children's food which came, at this Point the jacket potato that we had just asked for cheese on still hadn't come back it took another 5 minutes so the first person eating bad finished before the last even got their lunch. We asked for drinks which took ages to arrive, all in all very poor service and very poor food which is a real shame as the outdoor area for the children is good so would have liked to have come again but the food has put us off.
Meal for 50 on a very busy bank holiday Sunday - faultless . Food was beautiful , service was fantastic , relaxed atmosphere and we just love the place . It’s a hidden gem .
Very poor service waiters were rude and very impatient, they got a couple of orders wrong and no apology .
