To be honest I’m not likely to come again me and my husband had the worst experience ever, there was two girl waitresses which I thought were so rude and there attitude was terrible never seen anything like it, there was one young lad think his name was James he was amazing, but when we got the food the wedge were still raw we left all the food. Was on table 106 under the name Andrew tilling on the 21-4-21
Amazing food, but the service was awful, very slow, and the server was handing the drinks to us by the top rim of our glasses which we did not like. Had to try and get attention every time we wanted drinks, menus or too order. The atmosphere was very nice too
Lovely food, great place to eat and drink especially on a warm day. Beautiful views. Very odd that we were made to pay in advance of our food even arriving, normally we pay at the end. Wasn’t a problem just odd and because we had paid in advance it made us less likely to order further drinks and deserts, we thought we may as well just go after we had eaten so loss of revenue there. However saying that, I’d definitely return!
Wasn’t impressed by how long we had to wait for drinks, which was nearly half an hour after being seated. People that came after was served before. Then when the food arrived there was a bit of plastic in it and it was cold. The man we spoke to said it was from a vegetable but it could of been anything. Also they were asking for card payments halfway through the meal which We thought was rude! So After paying £35 for food and drinks we was not very impressed and won’t be returning
My fave place to come. So glad you are open again. Food was great as was the service.
Definetely we come back again.
excellent service goof food
We love the Quicken tree however we were very disappointed in the quality of the overpriced food on our visit. The supposed Cajun chicken breast was not chicken breast as it was brown meat. The portions were very small & of poor quality. We were just so disappointed. However, the two girls who served us were very attentive, pleasant & helpful. We always find the staff very helpful & pleasant
The venue is lovely and the staff are friendly, I just feel like the staff don’t really communicate with each other and it makes the service fall down a bit. Drinks got brought to our table a few times that we hadn’t ordered and I asked if our jug of pimms could be SECRETLY made non alcoholic as non of my friends know I’m expecting so I just wanted the pimms to turn up and non of my friends would even know it’s non alcoholic. I stressed the importance of this to the team. However, to my horror, the waitress came over with a single glass of pimms (not the jug which was part of the package) and announce ‘I’ve got a non alcohol pimms here’ so bright red, I had to then and there come clean to my friends. It made me feel so uncomfortable and again an example of poor communication between the staff.
Attentive staff and excellent food. Limited menu during the current situation but I could have chosen most items of the menu - it all sounded delicious and I was not disappointed with my choice.
Need more heaters outside and more choice of menu, also would like a non smoking area as people on table next to us were smoking
No vegetarian options.
It was a great first lunch back in the pub and lots of space both covered and uncovered to sit on with lovely views across the grounds. Nachos, burrito and fish and chips were lovely with the fish clearly being battered fresh. Good portion sizes and friendly service. If there was one comment it would be that the paper tray and cardboard knife and fork didn’t really do it for us - appreciate this is probably done to rationalise staff and time etc under current restrictions but we really would have liked a plate and proper cutlery as it made it difficult to eat.
We had a lovely first night out after lockdown and so pleased we chose the quicken tree . Lovely menu with good choice . Fish and chips which I chose was so good and great value for money . We were looked after well by all the staff and the service was very good . We will definitely return soon !
Lovely place, ive left a review on trip advisor aswell. Safe with covid lots of space fair priced drinks. Definitely going again could do with the music a tiny bit louder
Food & drink has to a 3 as my wifes wrap was so hard she thought it was stale. Atmosphere 4 was very good given the cold weather but kids enjoyed the ability to run around on the vast expanse of grass Service 4 but the wrap was only taken off the bill after they/you were reminded to do so. Value for money 4 three of the x4 meals were great and devoured completely. All in all... Thank You and we will be back Something to note: I telephoned the try to book a table but was informed that there were no spaces by staff. I then went on line and managed to book quite easily... something going wrong somewhere which could cost you a lot of money and repeat business
Service was good, we had a very friendly server. The food however was terrible. We had the fish and chips which was ok and the Southern fried chicken breast burger, oh dear! The menu said chicken breast but it was chicken leg/thigh and was greasy. The flavour was not southern fried and had a floral, lavender flavour. Most of the meal was left and was a very expensive meal for such poor food. We would definitely NOT recommend the Quicken tree based on this experience.
so pleased to be retuning to The Quicken Tree :)
Amazing service, felt very comfortable and welcomed... lovely atmosphere!! Definitely. 100% will be returning
lovely experience had on the first day the pub gardens reopened. staff were great and regularly came around checking for drink orders etc. food was lovely. lots of nice choice on the street food menu. the only thing I would change would be to have a plate and cutlarly rather than the cardboard trey and wooden knife and fork.
Lovely afternoon at the Quicken Tree, lots of socially distanced seating, great food, helpful and attentive staff. Looking forward to visiting again
So lovely to be back eating out with friends. Great value for money, lovely friendly staff n great location to let the kids go to play on the green spaces.
Excellent food and service as always
-1 on food and drink, NOT because it was poor quality but that the mix was not as advertised. I do not like Tuna which was included in lieu of advertised Chicken and cake types not as varied. So it was OK and still value for money but not as nice as usual. Everything else good and will go again for lunches or dinners, always delicious.
Waited quite a while for drinks apart from that all was fabulous need more staff on x
