About The Quartier Bistro & Bar
The Quartier Bistro & Bar located on the mezzanine level of Quay West Suites Sydney offers a chic yet relaxing French dining experience. Our emphasis is on quality ingredients and carefully crafted menu ideal for breafast, lunch and dinner.
I went with a friend, to have the $20 express lunch as we liked the sound of the Barramundi with fennel + cabbage salade, sauce vierge + pernod dressing. WE arrived to be told it was only Barra and chips!! When I showed the menu on their website they agreed to provide salade - but it was just a lettuce, cucumber and tomato salad! The Barramundi was very nice, but we felt the restaurant did not live up to it's promise. We won't be going back.
Our first time at Quartier and we had a very good experience, from the time of our arrival and to the time of our departure. Excellent service!
Great service and super friendly staff!
Great food and service
Good service. Menu was a little predictable maybe a couple of specials( still with Accor Plus discount)
the food was excellently cooked but the menu is a bit boring .. I would like a few more "typically French" dishes besides the moules e.g. confit duck etc
Great value for money in the heart of the Rocks
Great food & service
Excellent food, good ambience and friendly efficient service.
The special Mardi Gras Film Festival lunch was extremely good value & the food and drink excellent.
Nice quiet French Restaurant in the heart of Sydney. Delicious food and very good service!
Had a very enjoyable lunch at Quartier. We both had the Angus steak -Porterhouse & Eye Fillet. Cooked to perfection and the taste was amazing. It's a pity that there isn't more people getting to experience Quartier. Oh and the Creme Brulee was delicious.
Service was awesome. Our server (Kita) was very attentive and amiable.
Food was good however lamb cutlets cooked a bit tough that I required a steak knife to cut. Creme brulee did not have a carmalised top (therefore not a creme brulee), which was disappointing; the custard and vanilla bean was fantastic. Not being able to choose the other dessert for an individual was disappointing. The restaurant was fabulous - intimate setting and beautiful decor; the only thing talking away from it was how loud our neighbouring party was and music was turned up too loud/same songs repeating. Wine was ok and slightly underpoured - I think the additional $20 per person reflects this. Service was very good - staff and manager extremely friendly and helpful. 3/5 overall
very enjoyable special occasion never been to this place before pleasant, cosy happy we went
100 percent awesome
A wonderful place to dine, the food was great the service immaculate and it was very quiet which was good for us as one of our party is hearing impaired, would highly recommend it.
Had a lovely New Year's Eve at Quartier. Food was excellent, wine pairings and service as well. We would return for the chef's innovative take on Australian cuisine. Farm to table ingredients and each course perfectly executed. The viewing of the fireworks from the recreation center was terrific - sweeping bridge to Opera House panorama. Only issue, not food related, was that inside the recreation center was exceptionally hot - hope they fix that for next year. There's limited space outside and dinner guests shared the space with hotel guests who arrived first. We were two adults and a teenager on crutches and the team went above and beyond. The evening was magnificent. We highly recommend coming to eat here for any meal and NYE exceeded expectations.
This really is a hidden gem me thinks. Had a good simple selection of mains and grills including a lunch deal for $45 for 2 courses. Reasonablely priced and a great spot for a business lunch.
Found the food not quite up to expectations. The charcuterie plate was the first one we have ever had without some form of pate or terrine. You should change the entrees so that you can get pate and/or terrine on the charcuterie plate. The salad was a rip off, the price of $19 for a fre lettuce leaves , cour of cherry tomatoes and a scattering of thinly sliced bacon...not lardons which is stated on the menu. We were also disappointed along with other guests that you had run out of lamb!!! We can say however the sirloin steak was cooked correctly and we did enjoy it. We have travelled extensively in France and over the world so food was not as good as we were expecting. Also the ambience was too cafe style for us but the bar lounge area was lovely.
Food wasn't that nice
I was looking for a quaint alternative to enjoy a quiet dinner with my partner - and nailed it! We love French provincial style cuisine which their excellent chef clearly knows how to do well. The only reason I have to hold off recommending it would be to keep this gem to myself.
Our meal and wine were nice and the steak was beautifully cooked. Sadly the other party in the restaurant finished not long after we arrived so we were alone, thus no atmosphere but the waitress was lovely and we had a nice chat. As we used Advantage Plus it was excellent value.
Friendly service and very good steak.
Best onion soup and mussels that I've ever tasted.
