About Glenlo Abbey Hotel
The Pullman Restaurant is Galway's most unique dining experience. Diners take a step back in time aboard the Orient Express, which comprises of 2 original carriages from the Orient Express, beautifully restored without losing any of their original character and set on the grounds of the hotel
Enjoy views of a coiffeured golf course, Lough Corrib and Connemara hills in the distance.Having recently been awarded the prestigious second AA rosette, the Pullman Restaurant is certainly a dining experience like no other.
Our dinner at Glenlo Abbey was, in a word, stunning. The service was impeccable and food super tastey and very high, fresh quality. The dining cart was a slice of history. Loved it and would highly recommend.
Lovely atmosphere, great welcome from the Hotel Doorman, friendly staff.
Staff in the Pullman Restaurant were first class, friendly and helpful not snooty, Doorman from Utah also very helpful and friendly
A lovely hotel with excellent ,attentive and very pleasant staff .
We had a great, enjoyable and relaxed stay. The staff were fabulous and the breakfast is excellent.
The hotel is beautiful, you are surrounded by beautiful nature and it is so peaceful and quiet. As well as this, the food was incredible and fresh.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay for my wife's (belated) 40th birthday celebration. The day started with a falconry lesson, which was excellent and very informative. My wife then had a golf lesson down at the driving range, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We had a drink in the bar with a very friendly bar man before getting ready for dinner. Dinner was the highlight of the stay. The food was truly outstanding as was the service from all the staff in the restaurant. An upgrade from a junior suite to the presidential suite was the icing on the cake. On Sunday morning we enjoyed a lovely fresh cooked breakfast and a wander around the golf course in the morning sun before heading home. A very memorable experience that we will definitely share with others.
Had a fantastic stay, will be back again.
Absolutely fantastic experience, everything was perfect and the staff are a credit to yourselves. Definitely recommend and would gladly return
The Pullman Restaurant is a unique experience.A cocktail of excellent food, service, history and romance.A must for Agatha Christie/Poirot fans, even non fans.Possibly one of Ireland's best kept secrets.
very friendly staff. excellent food , particularly in the Pullman
What a wonderful experience. We really had an amazing time. Glenlo gets the stamp of approval from us. something for everyone. The christmas decorations are something else. Thank you
The hotel was stunning and the staff were excellent and very helpful, made me feel really special on my birthday with all the lovely touches... Perfect place to go for a relaxing weekend. Thank you so much and see you all again soon! Gill Hanlon
Very good all round although we ordered a Seville coffee and it didn’t arrive. Staff were very busy.
I had wanted to dine in the Pullman ever since it opened and it took me almost 20 years to get there but boy was it worth the wait. Such a unique experience, amazing location and fabulous food. Service by Lee was exemplary!
Should try if you are there
Enjoyed the overall experience.
The meal was out of this world
We had a superb meal, and the waiters were very attentive and pleasant. This experience will be one that we will always remember. Thank you Glenlo Abbey Hotel and the Pullman Restaurant staff.
Excellent food, fun atmosphere, and the waiters were superb. Couldn't ask for better.
An amazing experience I highly recommend everyone tried this at least once!
Beautiful Hotel and stunning scenery, however limited grounds for walking /cycling to take in the scenery. Not much of a view if given a back room 😕 Not all rooms seem to have a bath (ours didn't) however room was spacious and clean, bed very comfy and big. Great little theatre to watch the famous murder on the orient express, however we arrived up to watch it and sat there for 10 minutes untill we realised you need to operate it ourselves 😂 but was nice to have the option to watch the movie on big screen. All in all a beautiful hotel with lovely staff and wonderful food. Is a bit pricey so be prepared to spend, 2 nights set us back €880 for two adults B&B an a evening meal in the Pullmans restaurant.
The food was good and the atmoshere was unique and enjoyable. The wait staff was friendly and attempted to be accommodating. However, we understood them to be short-staffed and therefore, the service fell short of our expectations.
