About Glenlo Abbey Hotel
The Pullman Restaurant is Galway's most unique dining experience. Diners take a step back in time aboard the Orient Express, which comprises of 2 original carriages from the Orient Express, beautifully restored without losing any of their original character and set on the grounds of the hotel
Enjoy views of a coiffeured golf course, Lough Corrib and Connemara hills in the distance.Having recently been awarded the prestigious second AA rosette, the Pullman Restaurant is certainly a dining experience like no other.
Some background music would have been nice. Had given a weeks notice on special requirements and it wasn't fully carried out, and the substitute was missing a component. (Had to ask for crackers) Sandwich selection was tasty but do feel that there should have been more.(at least 2 of each instead of 1 of each) Salmon on brown bread very poor . Maybe a tea menu should b left on the table . The knowledge the girls shared about the different teas was great, service was good the girls were lovely and friendly. It was great not being rushed.
We had the most wonderful stay in your hotel. Your staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is immaculate and situated in the most beautiful setting.
Amazing hotel, the grounds are fabulous. Staff are welcoming and friendly and very knowledgeable. Service was a bit slow and it was not busy but wouldn't put me off going back.
Was very quiet, thought we were having afternoon tea in one of the train carriages , but may have been my mistake , it was unfortunately not . I would like to make mention of the fabulous waitress we had , she was brilliant from start to finish .
Pullman is a stunning experience with beautiful views. The food and its presentation were exceptional. Our wait staff, Conaire and Vitom were great, helpful and able to put us at ease in these difficult times.
The service we received during afternoon tea was exceptional Thanks
Glad to be back at my favourite hotel. Team dong their best with new safety protocols in place
We enjoyed a family lunch celebration on July 4th. The Glenlo Abbey staff took great care of us from the initial contact through making the reservation and looking after us on the day. Pleasant, professional and kind. Our lunch in the private room was delicious. Recommend.
This was my second visit this year and I hope it won’t be my last I loved every minute of it and the staff are so friendly and helpful I would definitely recommend it
Would highly recommend!! Food was delicious and staff are amazing
We had a lovely evening at the Pullman restaurant during our stay at Glenlo Abbey. The restaurant itself is fabulous, the atmosphere and decor is something very different. The food was also amazing and the staff very nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Sandra at reception t us up for a lovely stay, following a super quick (friendly yet efficient) check in, which is ideal. The genuine and thoughtful service by so many staff was really exceptional. Far superior service here (in my experience anyway) to the service I have experienced in recognised 5 star locations such as Ashford, Adare, Shelbourne. Etc, And certainly a league ahead of wannabe 5 star locations such as Dromoland. I experienced Half a dozen nurally friendly, attentive, proactive, practical and considerate staff throughout our stay at the hotel. (Pullman restaurant waiting staff were not so polished and would benefit from more training). Atmosphere in general was good (nice, but not amazing - as guests seem to be very spread out- this can be great for privacy/relaxing, but can that makes it harder for the hotel to have a buzz/atmosphere). Loved the cinema room, when we found it. I think it’s fair value for money, with exceptional service
Excellent menu, fabulous setting, great staff will come back again.
Glenloe Abbey has a luxurious yet relaxed atmosphere. All the staff are extremely friendly & helpful. I loved the experience dining in the Pullman Restaurant. It's unique & transported me to another era. ( it would have been even nicer if I could hear the background train noises better) Overall we had a lovely stay 😊
We went to the Pullman Restaurant, this was not our first time here. i found the Carriage cold and the food was definitely not value for money. €140 for two small portions. im sure this will suit some people. how ever we found ourselves leaving cold and hungry
Luxurious hotel. Very relaxing. Staff very attentive. Lovely weekend.
From start to finish the restaurant was incredible. The food was the best I have ever had. The staff were fantastic and the chef was very understanding and generous when I made an error with my main course order. The restaurant and hotel are a credit to the owner and staff.
A truly wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were superb and nothing was too much trouble for them. Dinner in The Pullman Restaurant is a must for anyone staying in Glenlo Abbey. We loved our stay.
We were dismayed to find that our reservation for the Pullman Restaurant was closed and our reservation cancelled..without any mention as to why. Unfortunately the restaurant was one of the reasons why we decided to spend the extra Euro’s to stay at the Abbey. It was closed, my wife didn’t get the experience she wanted, I was dismayed, the support staff were probably frustrated because they created a separate dinning experience that we did not want to attend because it wasn’t what we were going to pay for. Please put on your website that the Pullman is closed Sunday and Monday evenings in the Winter!! Please please please. Other than that we enjoyed the property and loved the bikes.
The most unique dining experience ever, absolutely loved the atmosphere and the original features of the carriage. Service and staff was excellent. Unfortunately food wasn't to my liking, in fairness to the chef we did ask for the duck and beef to be well done but it was rubbery and practically inedible, we ended up eating in the bar afterwards.
Amazing staff so professional, views from hotel is outstanding. Can’t wait to go back .
It's very poor value for money but you don't go there for value for money, it's more about the unusual setting. Even so, even by haute cuisine standards, the portion sizes are absurdly small. The staff change frequently which takes away from the atmosphere. And on our last visit earlier this week, we were overlooked in favour of the demands of a larger group which meant my companion's portion (of duck) was completely dried out and she didn't finish it. Overall, we weren't impressed. We've now had quite a few unimpressive visits to the carriages but as the management well know, the novelty is what people are paying for. It is an impressive setting but the food & the service, all too often let it down.
Beautiful restaurant Wonderful moment Excellent food Coming back, next year, same date.
Our stay and experience was fantastic. I highly recommend the Falconry experience, it was our favorite part of our visit.
