About The Prince at West Brompton Crossing
ONE STREET, FOUR HOUSE RESTAURANTS, TWO BARS AND AN ENCLOSED WOODLAND PERGOLA GARDEN
NEVER before has an entire street been transformed into an epicurean avenue dedicated to some of London’s most exciting food, drink and social experiences, until NOW… Part time speakeasy, part chowtime nirvana, part fairy tale enclosed garden. An enchanting blend of old and new, revelry and secrecy…
WELCOME TO THE PRINCE…
Really good atmosphere. The garden area decor is really nice. Food and drink options were great. Family-friendly environment (Sunday afternoon).
It was fantastic!!!
Staff were very friendly. Very flexible with the reservation that I booked, I was running quite late and they were very accommodating. Great atmosphere and lots of choices for food and drink.
Service very good and food was good too, but maybe more of a selection would be nice. There was a lot of burgers, wings. The men we were with didn’t really like the beer on tap. My wine was lovely.
I booked a table in the garden seating area for 20 people a month prior to the date - when i arrived my guests and i were given 2 of the tiny barrels with 3 stools each and away from each other. I asked a number of times to be moved to a larger table also considering it was for my birthday it was not how i had planned it. We were offered a free bottle of prosecco between 20 people. I did have a good night just a shame that it started off being disappointed.
Very lovely summery place and great cocktails
Queing for reservation was quite annoying given we were told we had to be there by 11:30 but we didn't get in until 11:45. No Pimm's!!! Beautiful venue perfect for a sunny day and would definitely use for an event in the future!
Peroni was out the night we went, also the selection of beer compared to other pubs/bars in the area was weak. More beers on tap woud be good!
Really great place - tables a little tight when sharing with a separate party.
Way too busy and over-crowded on a Saturday. Despite having a reservation, members of my party had to queue for a long time to get in. Takes ages to get served at the bar. Staff not particularly great. Literally packed with really drunk and noisy hen parties even at 7pm.
Great place! Cool mix of restaurants
Hi, I loved the garden, looked stunning. Just few negative points to note if interested to here: Reservation staff: on arrival girls didn’t seem to be interested much, not very professional as eating something whilst talking plus more interested in security guys/friends who turn up at the same time. As a first time comer nobody explained how the system works so had to find out ourselves. On the booking requested garden table as coming for birthday lunch. On arrival was told that the booked table is in front of the reservation desk. To big disappointment girls didn’t suggest to make changes. We had to go back and ask to give the table for a bit of time as majority of tables were empty and were still empty when we left. Nobody wants to have birthday lunch on tiny table just beside the doors on booking arrival... Attention to detail in terms of greeting and accommodating people would make such a difference. We wanted to have a special lunch but didn’t feel due to some mentioned hiccups on arrival. But the place is stunning and food nice so mixed experience.
Thanks to The Prince and team for all your help on Sat night. Security and Staff were all so helpful especially as it was such a busy night. Great atmosphere and crowd. G x
Went to the Prince for my birthday with in a group of 15 and all had a brilliant night. Cool venue, great atmosphere. Would definitely go back! Recommend booking a table in advance.
Great night! Atmosphere was buzzing, music was a good mix, varied choice of food and drink. My group arrived about 6pm, which worked well for us as by 7-8pm it became packed. Definitely recommend booking a table if there's a group of you! Will come back again and bring other people!
Appaling bar service
Very rude doorman, had the wrong guest list and claimed we hadn't booked, then led to the wrong table and spent 20 mins trying to find ours, incredibly loud and noisy inside with bar queues very long
My boyfriend and I celebrated our birthday on Saturday with 25 people. When we arrived we were told by multiple bouncers that as long as our friends arrive before 7 they would get in no problem. As they arrived around 6:39 they were stopped at the door due to capacity issues. Many of them went home to avoid waiting in line in the pouring rain for 30 min which was what was quoted at the door. While I understand the capacity restrictions what I find absurd is the manager allowing another very pretty girl to bring all her friends who were late through the back door. It was baffling to watch the situation right in front of my face not even a minute after I had asked the manager. In fact, the word is disrespectful. I will not be recommending the venue to anyone for a birthday souley based on the inconsistency of management. Such a shame as the prince is a beautiful venue. I would like to say however, that the girls at the front desk were very kind and tried to be as helpful as possible.
Couple of the bar staff hardly spoke English, so every time we asked for a slim line g&t we got some soda with lime type of concoction?😜😜
Really nice place for groups, will come back
Nice idea, really beautiful setting but atrocious staff and service. Every member of staff we encountered, right from arrival, was rude i'm sorry to say. Extremely poor attitude from the ladies on reservations to the bar staff, none of whom seemed interested in so much as saying hello and smiling let alone making a decent drink. Everything seemed a chore to them and customers were an inconvenience. Where did you find such a bunch of obnoxious muppets to work here!? Will not be back nor be recommending. Could be fantastic with a huge shift in attitude.
Booked a table for ten (a mixed group) in the Woodland Garden to celebrate my 30 something birthday with a group of old university friends. It was a weeknight, and the place was pleasantly buzzy, but not busy. The decor is lovely, and it's a nice set up for casual summery drinks and food. They've clearly put quite a lot of time, effort and money into this reboot. The pub and four food concessions in the shops next door all open out on to the covered and decked garden to the rear, which also contains a long bar of its own. Between our group we ordered from all four concessions and enjoyed it all, but only Foley provided buzzers. The lack of buzzers was rather annoying and meant people kept having to pop back to see if their meals were ready yet. The staff at the food concessions were all super friendly. The prosecco at £32 per bottle is quite expensive. The only dampener on the evening was the staffing/security. The reception desk was unattended when we arrived so it took a while for us to be seated, and there was only one person behind the bar, but there were about six security staff standing around the front door and in the front room of the pub. The security presence all evening was overbearing, and excessive given that it wasn't very busy and the clientele all seemed very peaceful. At 10:30pm, just after we'd purchased a fresh round of drinks including bottles of prosecco, security asked us to drink up and vacate the table as they were closing (closing time is 11pm). Six security guards then stood rather menacingly around our table watching us drink and asking us to vacate. We laughed that it felt like we were being kettled. We eventually left at 10:45pm, still 15 minutes before the listed closing time. It wasn't exactly conducive to the relaxed and upmarket atmosphere they're clearly trying to capture. Awkwardly, they also had toilet attendants selling lollypops etc. and wanting a tip in exchange for passing you a paper towel. All in all a nice evening, but to achieve the relaxed and upmarket boho atomosphere this reboot is trying to achieve, they should put the toilet attendants to work on the bar, and reassess their security arrangement/training.
Very good service, was early for my reservation but was seated quickly without any problem by a friendly man who was sorting the reservations. Food was delicious (did take a while). The bar did seem quite under staffed but the que moved quickly. Armosphere was good and inside was lovely also really good when it got a bit chilly it had indoor heaters! Would definitely go again and reccomend to friends!
The place was super pretty and had comfortable seating. The only improvement would be to include some fans as it was getting a bit hot in there.
Great place. Excellent music, friendly staff. Food is delicious wherever you go. Cocktails were good too. I'd probably always reserve a table in advance, and note there's a different entrance if you do.
